Bagni antiche terme Peppini

 Vi sarà capitato più volte, trovandovi in Piazza del Limbo, di notare un palazzetto, in Borgo SS. Apostoli, che affaccia sulla piazza e che sulla facciata ha una scritta:  “BAGNI NELLE ANTICHE TERME”. Si tratta in effetti di un piccolo stabilimento termale, in funzione nell’Ottocento e fino ai primi anni del Novecento. Nel 1826 il Signor Antonio Peppini acquistò alcune case, appartenute nel Trecento agli Altoviti, isolate dagli altri edifici da diversi chiassi o vicoletti. Queste case furono tra i beni della famiglia Altoviti fatti confiscare da Cosimo I quando, nel 1554, Bindo di Antonio Altoviti fu dichiarato ribelle, e vennero date da amministrare ai Capitani di Parte. Antonio Peppini le fece abbattere e al loro posto fece costruire questo palazzo, progettato da Telemaco Bonaiuti.

Un'idea bizzarra, quella di costruire uno stabilimento termale in pieno centro? Mica tanto… si dà il caso che proprio lì, ai tempi della Firenze romana, sorgeva uno degli impianti termali della città e dunque il richiamo ai passati fasti era più che evidente. Delle antiche terme romane non vi sono oggi resti visibili in superficie, furono distrutte prima dalle invasioni barbariche e poi dalle ricche famiglie fiorentine che utilizzarono, come era usanza a quel tempo, le antiche pietre romane per erigere le loro case-torri che sono numerose lungo Borgo SS. Apostoli.  Peppini, con il consenso del Magistrato civico, fece chiudere nel 1826 vari vicoli, comprendenti il chiasso dei Cencetti, che giravano attorno al fabbricato. 

Giuseppe Formigli, nella sua guida del 1849, descrive così lo stabilimento:  "Il sig. Antonio Peppini ha formato uno stabilimento di bagni, costruito nei fondamenti delle antiche Terme, edifizio Romano, che ha dato nome ai suddetti odierni bagni. In questa interessante intrapresa, egli ha avuto pensiero sopra tutto di ottenere la proprietà, e l'eleganza conveniente ai costumi moderni, come pure alla scelta di una posizione centrale. Il dì 1 Luglio dell'anno 1826 fu aperto questo stabilimento, i pregi, e i vantaggi del quale sono stati generalmente sentiti, le quali cose fanno sì che è frequentatissimo non tanto dai fiorentini quanto dai forestieri. Le tinozze furono poste al primo piano dietro il parere dei più valenti fisici onde evitare l'impressioni troppo sensibili delle temperature diverse, il che diede luogo alla costruzione di una elegante scala che conduce alle due gallerie ove sono gli stanzini rispettivamente destinati per i sigg. uomini, e per le sigg. donne, dove si gode di tutta la libertà e di qualunque comodità possibile. I bagni sono caldi, o freddi, temperati, a qualunque grado a seconda del desiderio dei sigg. bagnanti, o a forma del bisogno. Vi si trovano ancora dei bagni a vapore, dei bagni composti ad imitazione di quelli di acqua minerale e delle sorgenti termali le più in uso non solo in Toscana come altrove, fedelmente eseguiti, secondo le ricette dei medici. Sonovi ancora delle docce interne ed esterne di acqua pura, o di acqua composta secondo il genere della malattia, e tali che se ne può fare uso ancora durante l'inverno, allorché sarebbe impossibile di soggiornare alle vere terme". Il centro termale, che ad onor del vero era più apprezzato dai forestieri che dai fiorentini, chiuse definitivamente nel 1912.

Ancora oggi, a fianco del palazzetto, si può notare una targa di marmo, che ricorda la chiusura dei vicoli: ANTONIO PEPPINI CHIUSE QUESTI VICOLI CON FACOLTÀ ACCORDATAGLI DAL DECRETO DEL MAGISTRATO CIVICO DI FIRENZE L'ANNO 1826.

Peppino's of all shapes and sizes, I hope to fulfill eventually! Though, to be honest, it's sort of a reference to how Fakepep can make doppelgängers... so many Fakepeps... but, it's ambiguous for a reason! I got a lot of Peppino's on my mind!

OKAY UHHHH hiiiii his name is Tolsi Trepidi and he USED to be the world's worst undercover fed before being assigned to catch peppini in some illegal act. and they fall in LOVE. or something.

He is extremely pathetic and constantly whining about something. despite his muscles he doesn't seem to know how to use 'em. Peppino made him his guard dog, but that was more just an excuse to keep him near by. He's basically just a trophy husband in everything but name.

Peppini calls him "carne" or just "dog" usually. He means it affectionately, but a lot of outsiders considers it a bit cold. Tolsi loves it though LMAO

I made him a dog because. i think we need more dog men in the world. and i've had Sir Mix A Lot's Nasty Dog stuck in my head all week so.

I actually loved this Comic back in the days, it was my favourite. And if you ask, yes, it inspired my "Mistakes" Comic, especially the Monochrome tones.

So, long story short, Pepin got reccurent nightmares of him being chased in the Pizza Tower 4th Boss Room, and he hates these. He has a big fear of his own kind (the Fake Peppini) and can't control his reactions toward them. He usually cry, scream and melt tho-

The Monochrome Palette used for this Comic is the palette used for the Ghost Transformation's Screen.

we got a new design and new story for this Au

This Peppino clone is an failed experiment that Pizzahead made to see if something else could make a very powerful clone then what he usually used to make his clones

after creating the clone Pizzahead marked the clone a failed experiment seeing how the clone turned out

the clone was eventually named Experiment 195161691415 a.k.a. Seppino (the numbers actually make the name if you use letter numbers also only Pizzahead will call him this lol)

Seppino is 5'8 but can change his size whenever he like to

Seppino have a another form he likes using to scare people with and also sometimes use when anger

in this form Seppino is 6'2

This Au is set after the Tower event meaning Seppino lives in what left of the destroyed Tower and roams around as he please

Seppino is only friendly to those who isn't mean

he also act like a big goofy dog sometimes

sometimes when he hungry he'll leave the destroyed tower and sneaks behind Peppini's Pizzeria and take whatever he can find the trash, one time he also got caught by Gustavo one night well looking for food thinking it was Fake Peppino lol

alright this is all I came up with I hope it's good and makes sense I'll probably update it later to ad more stuff I fix something that doesn't make sense

Tbh I never give too many of my characters back stories or stories at all for them so sorry if it kinda bad I give it my best try

I know I already post the art him already but I'm reusing them for this and I well add more pictures then two when I updated it again
