How about “Make a wish!” with Majima? Fic or hcn, as you like😊

I’ve been so excited to write this one all week and hope it doesn’t seem forced. This will be a short fic, so enjoy~

It had been years since the two of you were together and in all that time for his birthday you had never managed to get him anything spectacular. If the man wanted something, he just went out and got it. Even if there was something he did want, he never gave you any hints when asked. It was always the same thing of him just being happy you were with him, and while that was sentimental in its own way, you wanted to get him something he really wanted. Majima was hard to read, even after so many years. Yet he always managed to get you something thoughtful for your birthday, even if you hadn’t said anything about it.

This year was different though.

When you had woken up that day Majima had already left the apartment, but you knew he would be back earlier than usual. You took that time to make him a small cake yourself during the day and while it wasn’t perfect looking in any way, it was the thought that counted. Either way, it had given you something to distract yourself with the entire day as worries creeped into your head about his gift. You weren’t really sure how he was going to react, even though the two of you had had talks about it in the past.

The second Majima walked through the door, you immediately ran up to him and gave him a kiss. He quickly obliged and kissed you back. It was clear he had gone out and had a drink before coming home as the familiar smell of whiskey was on his breath. “Happy Birthday, Goro!” You kissed at him again before grabbing his hand and yanking the man towards the kitchen.

“Almost knocked me offa my feet there girly, didn’t know ya had that strength in ya!” He waved off the birthday mention, he didn’t like being reminded that he was in fact, getting old. When he saw the cake on the counter and your grin though, he wrapped an arm around your waist, kissing at your forehead. “Ah shit, ya didn’t have to do that fer me…”

You shushed him with a kiss on the lips before digging into his jacket pocket and pulling out his lighter and lighting the single candle on the top of it. “Now make a wish!” You demanded of him, pointing at the candle as your foot tapped on the ground nervously.

Obliging your demand, Majima blew out the candle and let go of you as he began looking around for a knife to cut the cake with. “So… what did you wish for?”

“‘Fraid I can’t tell ya that, ain’t gonna come true if I do.” He finally found the knife and quickly made work of cutting himself a piece.

“Well… I have to give you your birthday gift now I guess…” Waiting until he had sliced two pieces for the both of you, he looked at you with growing concern as you continued to tap your foot on the ground, but a wide smile was on your face.

“Girly, what’ve I told ya? Ya bein’ here is more than a man could ask fer.” He put the plates down on the counter before pulling you close against him, his one eye trying to read you. Something was… off. He could tell.

“Well… what if I told you,” You began as your own arms wrapped around his neck, “That you’re going to be a dad…” You were nervous at his reaction, a but a smile was still plastered on your face.

Majima looked at you, dumbfounded. His mouth and eye wide open at the news and taking a moment to process it all before they quickly changed to joy. He laughed happily before lifting you up off the ground and squeezing you and then abruptly placing you back down gently, worried he was now somehow going to hurt you with those sudden gestures. “This is better than anythin’ I coulda wish fer!” He peppered your lips with kisses before hugging you tightly, being a gentler this time. “Girly, ya really are the best gift in my life that keeps on givin’, ya know that right?”
