a minor tma fandom thing that has amused me for a few years is that, after the show ended, a very obvious way to see the different approaches people had been taking to engaging with it became to hear their recommendations for what media you should try if you'd liked it. suddenly the veil parted and I could be like ooohhh of course we never saw eye to eye, you're listening to it like the way you listen to heart-warming found family actual play ttrpgs and I'm listening to it like eighty hour hamlet.
#tma fandom post-finale kind of split off into two camps:#people who got into episodic plucky queer fiction with happy endings and horror aesthetics but not much horror content#and people who got into heavy serialized character dramas that make you feel so bad you see hell#I don't think there's anything wrong with the first camp at all but as someone in the second camp#it's kind of useful to know that if someone got really into hfth or chnt then their old tma fic probably isn't for me yk#tma#marina marvels at life
