it’s like the guy’s radioactive.    whenever he’s in the cottage common room, there’s a four-foot circle of  EMPTY SPACE  around him, everyone keeping their distance like they’ll die if they get too close. not even margo knows what his deal is, though she’s got a DOZEN theories and even more rumours, each one dumber than the last. apparently the kid’s scary. it’s fuckin’ ridiculous. the snippets he’s caught of jesse’s thoughts don’t sound scary. third time this week that penny’s stopped by and seen him in his FEAR-MADE bubble, and he snaps. he can sit where he damn well wants to   ---   and today, that’s right next to the infamous,  t e r r i f y i n g  jesse fucking turner.
