“From Exercise to Enterprise: The Growth of Sport into a Multi-Billion Dollar Industry”
We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Pennsylvania Law School for what will be a very special event. Below you will find key logistical information to ensure that your visit on Friday, January 27, 2017 is as seamless as possible.
Keynote Speaker: Val Ackerman
Val Ackerman is the Commissioner of the Big East Conference, Founding President of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), and a past President of USA Basketball. She has had a long and successful career in sports, including leadership positions in both men’s and women’s sports at the collegiate, professional, national team and international levels. These experiences will allow Ms. Ackerman to offer excellent insight to our Symposium's focus on the growth of the sports industry. The symposium will run from 9:30 am to 6:00pm. The program will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. Please allow at least a 20-minute window to provide time to register, get breakfast, find your seat, access the Wi-Fi network, and take care of any other administrative or logistical needs.

Law School Location
The University of Pennsylvania Law School is located at 3501 Sansom Street (between 34th and 35th Street). For those arriving by public transportation this is a short walk or cab ride from 30th Street Station. Upon arrival, please use the Sansom Street Entrance. If you enter at the 34th Street Entrance you will be directed to go around to Sansom Street.
Parking
The garages and lots closest to the law school are as follows:
34th & Chestnut Street (University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University garages)
Sheraton Hotel (36th & Chestnut Street)
Additional parking can be found at:
32nd & Walnut Street
38th & Walnut Street (please use 38th Street entrance)
Penn Tower Hotel (34th & Civic Center Boulevard)
South Street & Convention Boulevard
40th & Walnut Street
There is also very limited two-hour street parking on Sansom Street between 34th and 35th Street.
Registration Tickets and Identification
Please remember to print out your Eventbrite registration ticket and bring it with you the day of the event as it will ensure a quick check-in. Upon your entrance into the law school building please show the print out to our security guard. You will then be directed to the registration table. At the registration table you will check in and receive your name badge.
Penn Law and outside students MUST present a valid student identification.
Media members MUST bring valid media credentials along with their ticket.
Attorneys Seeking CLE Credits This program has been approved for 5.5 substantive CLE credits for Pennsylvania lawyers. CLE credit may be available in other jurisdictions as well. Attendees seeking CLE credit should bring separate payment in the amount of $220.00 ($110.00 public interest/non-profit attorneys) cash or check made payable to The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania.

For those attending, neither Penn Law Entertainment & Sports Law Society nor the University of Pennsylvania Law School are responsible for lost or stole items left in the self coat-check.
If you are a media member who failed to contact Penn Law ESLS prior to downloading a free media ticket and have had your ticket removed for failure to respond to inquiries by an ESLS boardmember or for any other reason you may be asked to leave the event if you seek admission.
