penice smp

i'm gonna talk about the minecraft smp my friends and i play in, partially for context but mostly bc i just enjoy it :)

it started when i made a world and invited simon, clem, and nolan.... and we all built a city 'floating' on top of the ocean. we christened it penice because of the city with canals instead of streets (venice, italy) and because dick jokes.

since then, we've had five seasons of the penice smp. the only set rules are:

penice must be built over water of some sort (ocean, river, lake, etc) with boardwalks and gaps between houses. this is cute but results in a lot of falling into the water and drowning. this rule has been ignored once or twice

everybody has to build their base in penice, and within a 16x16 square (used to be 10x10 but we expanded it). you can build as tall as you want

no griefing. pvp is fine but if u slap somebody they can and will slap back. definitely no killing pets

in the center of penice, there's always a crafting table. there's also a crude dick statue. the first penice had a tavern called the penice party palace, and in the third penice simon built a penice party phallus and now we have one every season. it's usually made up out of a key building block in that season, and there's always a sign on it as a sort of plaque. it's kind of like a public statue/meeting place for the smp.

each new season of penice has a different theme. we do a new 'season' basically whenever we get bored of the last one or if we've accomplished everything we set out to do. we also do a season when minecraft drops big updates.
