Are you the fucker who voted that my OCs sucked and proved you had ZERO taste in characterizations on the poll?

I literally don't care if you do or don't like my OCs, because this isn't just about my OCs.

It's about the inadequate feeling that certain OC Creators give others because they feel superior to others and that they are the only ones who can write Canon characters based off of their own OC x Canon ship. It's also about shoving other people's OCs out of the so-called 'safe' spaces for creators in fandoms.

It's also about the fact that because of how popular XYZ's OCs get, suddenly their 'fans' think that everyone in the fandom just has to know and adhere to that fan-canon the creator has made.

If I say "I Headcanon Wolffe as AroAce" that directly goes against a number of people's OWN interpretations of Wolffe and the OC x Wolffe ships they make. If someone says "I ship my OC with Kit Fisto" that goes against my interpretation of Kit Fisto.

Do you know what we don't need to do in these situations? Call someone wrong for not thinking the same way about characters.

Every single person in fandom has their own, further interpretation of Canon and the Content that's canon once the baseline is established— and, news flash, no one's OCs are part of that baseline.

I have a couple posts on Arvid here but I don't think I've really put much on AO3 at all of him. I think he only appears in passing mentions such as in dual wield where he's mentioned by Cin.

I did an introduction post here with his old design and a new design and some alters here but I can go over it again ehehe

Basically:

Arvid Carin is best mates with Jaro Tapal and the partner of Dex Jettster. He's also an Artisan Jedi Master as the current head of the Woodworking Department of the Division and has trained one padawan, the current Second Hand of the Department— Turu.

He's from another one of my fan-made races, a dragon species that has branching roots in the Fae and Spirits. While there are a few of them across the Galaxy, but he's specifically an Inferno Drakon hailing from the volcanic planet Surlogi.

Like all Inferno Drakon who have chosen to assume a more humanoid appearance and leave Surlogi, Arvid has a number of forms that he can assume.

His true form is a massive, wingless dragon with the full length being about half as long as the temple is wide.

His main form is about 6'9" standing upright without his horns, though he slouches a lot. This is what most people see him as, and while his legs are still humanoid, his feet are definitely still that same clawed dragon look.

His combat form is a bit more draconic, his legs change to be more dragon-like and his hands become more clawed with more scales appearing under and through his skin. he's about 7'10 at that height when fully upright

His "compact" form or resting form is either after a fight or when conditions are met that require him to condense into an almost fully human form just to keep from exploding outwards into his true form. He's about 5'10 - 6' tall in that form but is much hotter to the touch than the other two humanoid forms. Almost scalding.

Save for the last one, Arvid retains his horns and tail in his human forms and has a very high body temperature

Personality wise he's known as a quiet, tired, and reserved individual to pretty much everyone and while true, he is also incredibly kind and compassionate.

His tiredness stems from his inability to find a good way to sleep with horns and a tail along with having just a general insomnia. He spends his waking hours working and often avoids people if possible while he does so he doesn’t lose focus. He enjoys listening to people talk though, so if he’s sought out while working for conversation it’s very one sided but he’s paying attention

While he enjoys children and doesn't mind them clinging to him for warmth, he states he'd be a very bad Master now days, to which Turu assures him that he was a fine Master when They were learning under him. Arvid also states he'd be a bad parent, though it is noted that he makes a decent father figure to Dex's adoptive daughter Onyx.

ofc despite all of this, Arvid is still a dragon and he does have a rather dangerous temper when it gets to that point. Basically:

Arvid Cairn was slow to anger, just like the magma flows his kind were borne from. Slow to anger, yet extremely dangerous when he did.

A forgotten fact to some.

The cracking of bones under his grip was something that wasn’t quite foreign to him— but it had been a long time. Been a long time since he had felt this angry.

I always thought that a Kel Dor could be easily disorientated by turned upside down onto their head (due to their sensory organs) and the thought of Plo being spun like lightning mc kriffing queen greatly amuses me, do with that what you will

I mean I think anyone would be easily disoriented by being flipped upside down and spun around lol

A little idea that's been floating around in my noggin is giving Chiron a space/galaxy theme as a nod to him being the constellation Sagittarius. It'd be a neat idea for his Grand Servant design (because I refuse to believe he isn't or wasn't Grand Archer at some point I mean it makes too much sense!) so please consider Space Centaur

Honestly Chiron with space aesthetic sounds rad as hell, especially knowing and seeing what fate can do with that theme

He talks to the three fairy knights separately and Morgan along with the fairy knights as a whole. He doesn’t talk to Perceval but he does address the KotR as a whole too.

Lab Partner

Cin Drallig because he's smart and patient and I'm not and I know for a fact that Li (Lancer) and I would murder each other if we were lab partners because we're both incompetent. Granted, Li (Assassin) is definitely a different case, but no. Cin Drallig is my Lab Partner.

Elevator for 10 Hours

Li Shuwen. In general, I think if I had to choose between ghost and li for this one I'd choose Li because at the end of the day if I'm in a room by myself with Ghost I will die out of the sheer fact of being known and seen. Both Lancer and Assassin Li and I would have a lot of conversational topics (Asain Gang Brainwave) and if worst comes to worst Li will either kill us both by breaking the elevator more or we have YouTube on the Phone to watch 100 hours of Gwar Gura streams

McDonald's Training

Ghost from COD because he's the last one left but also because I think it would be funny. That's it. The only thing funnier than Big Fucking Scary Ghost would be an even larger, scarier-looking character (Konig and Grandpa Hassan). Also while I would be nervous as hell, i doubt that Ghost would bully me or let others bully me at the workplace (Lol)

Technically yes. These are the "Saber Pikes" (Saberpikes?) that we see throughout legends and various video games here and here. In the Clone Wars episode "the Sacrifice" there was an unused concept for Darth Bane's Saberpike as well.

The Jedi Temple Guard are technically users of double-bladed “saberpikes” — but they're really just double-bladed lightsabers. In my canon, I've given them actual pikes.

I've also handed them off to a number of other Jedi.
