All Black Day

Aha, I’m back for Penang day 2. 

Remember I mentioned how much we loved the guesthouse we stayed in? Here’s the view from the hallway upstairs. Yes, they prepare loaves of bread and coffee for breakfast. Take a look at Jean’s happy face.

After breakfast, we went on a road trip. To Penang Hill, we go! [peace]

The love locks was a pretty sight. Fingers crossed, I will make it to the one in Paris someday. They say dream big, right?

This picture is NSFW. I was contemplating whether I should edit it - attach a sticker or something, then I remember these images are all over his Facebook page anyway. [mad cow laugh]

We took a slow walk up the hill and we ended up in one of the hotels located up there. They had a restaurant slash cafe and we enjoyed the view there with a glass of drink and snacks.

Our main itinerary was Escape Park on the third day - that place is insane, I’ll talk more about that later - so we decided to head there for enquiries. The Hard Rock Hotel and beach was only a few kilometres away and we thought, “why not?”

Man, we felt like kids all over again. Playing in the sand, chasing the waves and clam digging.

Then there were group pictures, of course, for memories. [heart]

Have I already mentioned that we played like kids?

Shortly after, two dogs came running towards us happily and we couldn’t stop ourselves from throwing our bodies onto them. So precious.

I almost didn’t want them to leave but they later decided to have their own fun. 

The beach was great. I almost forgot how to take a second off from reality and just inhale. I know this sounds cliche but the waves was music to my ears and to have the water wash the sand off my feet was strangely calming.

We drove back to the guesthouse to wash up and rest. The 8 of us shared a room with bunkbeds. Everyone was so worn out, they dropped dead on the bed.

Oh, about the title. It’s really not just because I love the colour black but we planned beforehand to wear all black outfits on a certain day. Surprisingly, everyone compromised. We headed to Straits Quay at night; initially to take pictures but lighting there was horrible so we had to leave. This is the best picture I have of us in said all black outfit.
