today's funky frog of the day: the eastern spadefoot toad (Pelobates syriacus)!!!!!! round, big-eyed, and utterly beautiful, this species lives across western asia and southeastern europe. they usually hibernate alone, but groups of 2-6 frogs hibernating together have been found!!!
