The Pairing
Pelle x fem!reader
Word Count: 3k
Warnings: not edited because who can be bothered, midsommar type things (cult, murder, people mysteriously going missing, a weird pairing ritual that includes murder, mentions of dani's trauma, mention of incest), I tweaked the plot a bit to fit the request
Author’s Note: Helly dear I hope you enjoy this! I left it open ended because I figured it was safe to leave the reader up to what they would do. Personallllyyyy I think after trauma bonding I could be swayed into a weird marriage lol. Enjoy(?)
Requested: by anon, Hi! Since you still write for Midsommar (which makes me very happy 🥳) and I saw your requests are open... I got one. The reader is friends with the group, she's Dani's best friend, and of course Pelle has a thing for her, he always tries to make any sort of excuses to touch her. She's invited to Sweden along the rest, and she's tricked into a sort of ritual where it's "decided" that Pelle and her are to be married. When she finds out she's mad and she wants to leave. Then you decide how to end it. Like she stays? She escapes? Is she kidnapped? You choose.❤️❤️❤️ I basically just found your blog, and I read almost all your work, and I love it! You're a great writer 👏
I don’t own these characters. They belong to author/director/creator
(not my gif)
“Do you remember Pelle?” Dani asked. You looked up from your phone. She was sitting on her bed, against the wall, arms wrapped around herself as she thought. Her phone had been recently discarded on the bed. You were sitting at her desk chair. You thought about Pelle, the gentle guy with the gentle smile.
“Yeah sure. He’s nice. Why?” You meant he was nice in that he was nicer than the rest of Christian’s friends. They were okay but they were guys and tended to act that way no matter who was around.
“He’s invited me to Sweden with him and the others.” You raised an eyebrow.
“They’re going to Sweden?”
“Pelle lives there,” she explained. “He’s going home and everyone else is going to visit where he lives. It’s supposed to be some kind of commune or something.” You sat up, putting your phone down.
“Are you going?” She shrugged.
“I don’t know if he wants me there. Christian, I mean. I don’t know if he just invited me to be polite.”
“You said Pelle invited you.”
“Well he seemed happy I was going but I don't really know him. I mean, he talks to you more than he talks to me.” You shrugged. You and Pelle had been friendly through the semester, simply because you go whenever Dani wants you to and Christian drags his friends around like dead weights. You narrowed your eyes at her, unsure what she was getting at.
“Do you want to go?”
“Yeah, I think so. I mean, I should get out of the house right?” You nodded.
“I think it’s a good opportunity. I mean, Sweden! That’s so cool.”
“Pelle extended the invitation to you as well,” Dani explained. You raised an eyebrow. You didn’t know the others that well and you knew Christian about as well as anyone knows their best friend's boyfriend. “You don’t have to come but I think I would be more comfortable if you were there too. I’m not sure how I’m going to react and I don’t know Christian’s friends that well and I don’t know the place and-”
“Relax Dani. When is it? I’ll check my schedule.” She grabbed her phone and started to scroll through, looking through the dates.
“We’d get there on my birthday.” You smiled a bit.
“That’s perfect. I didn’t think you should spend your birthday here anyway.” You shrugged. “I’ll go. I mean, I should probably look at how much it’ll cost and stuff but it could be fun. Right?” You didn’t deny how nice it would be to spend more time with Pelle, this time on his home turf.
“Really?” You nodded, shrugging. She smiled easily, shoulders dropping the tenseness.
“Yeah Dani. It’s for your birthday, how about that?”
-
Pelle grabbed your hiking backpack as you approached the car. The drive was supposed to be over four hours and you were all stuck in the same van, along with all your luggage. You weren’t exactly excited for the overwhelming boy aura that would come along with it.
“Thank you,” you said, gently. He nodded once, a kind smile on his face.
“Of course. I’m so glad you could come,” he expressed.
“Me too! It’s so exciting to see your home.” He shut the back of the car. Everyone else had gotten into their spots in the car. You called shotgun the second you got off the plane and you were grateful for it. Dani was squished in the back beside Christian, her window already down for some air. The sticky hot air was indicative of a nice morning turning into a nice day. You hoped this car had air conditioning. “Is there anything I should know? I’m sorry I don’t know a lot of Swedish, other than what you taught me.”
Pelle had been giving you words here and there, trying to get you to pronounce things correctly. It was kind of a lost cause but it was fun regardless.
“It’s probably going to be foreign at first. There are some things Americans aren’t exactly used to.”
“Like what?” “It’s easier for you to just see. But I assure you, you’re always safe.” He walked to the front of the car. You stood there a moment longer, unsure why you would need to worry about your safety. You pushed it out of your head, walking to the passenger seat. “Everyone buckled in?” Pelle asked, turning the car on.
There was a chorus of yeah’s, followed by a couple seat belts buckling in. You adjusted to be comfortable in your seat and prepared for the drive.
“Keep your hands, arms and feet inside at all times,” you joked. “The show is about to begin.”
-
The hike to Pelle’s home was nice, if not a bit hot. Eventually you found yourself settled into beds, backpacks finally down, feet resting. You were itching for a shower but didn’t want to ask about it. You had been showered with kindness, large slightly unnerving smiles and flower crowns. Pelle sat beside you in the grass as everyone started to explore. They found themselves in their own bubbles, the dancers and the educators. Even Dani was able to find some sort of place alongside those who were making dinner. You kept a keen eye on her, just in case.
The sun not going down tripped up your inner clock. It had to be closer to midnight than it was to midday.
“This place is beautiful,” you admitted and you meant it. The sense of disconnect from the rest of the world was somewhat jarring. You could tell how someone could enjoy a life out here. “I can’t imagine why you’d ever leave.” Pelle smiled gently. He was leaning back on the palms of his hands. You picked at the overgrown grass under your fingertips.
“It’s slightly limited,” he assured you. “I wanted to see what the rest of the world had to offer.” You shrugged.
“Then decided to come back?”
“This is my home,” he said wistfully.
“Home is where the heart is.” He nodded once. You looked back towards him, squinting in the sun. He seemed used to it, like it had no effect on him. “That was cheesy.”
“But true!” he promised. “Things are cheesy for a reason.” You laughed a bit.
“I think that's a classic,” you argued. He shook his head. “When does the sun set?”
“I thought I told you earlier that it doesn’t.” He leaned forward and gestured to the blue sky. “The midnight sun can go for days. Sometimes just a day, depending on the time of year.” You nodded, opening your mouth to ask another question when Ingemar approached the two of you.
“Good evening,” he said happily.
“It’s evening?” you scoffed. “See, this whole thing is messing with my inner clock. You got a wristwatch?” Both men shook their heads. You weren’t sure why you even asked. They probably still used the stick in ground timing method out here. Or maybe they didn’t even care and simply went about their days as thought time didn’t matter at all. You weren’t sure you could ever adjust to that.
“May I sit?” You and Pelle nodded. He sat down beside Pelle, getting comfortable on the hillside. “Are you both ready for the pairing tomorrow?” Pelle gave Ingemar a look.
“What pairing?”
“It’s silly, really. It’s part of the festival.”
“You haven’t told her?” Ingemar questioned. He laughed, making you feel left out. You weren’t sure why Pelle wanted all of this to be some sort of mystery to you. You wondered if it would lose its charm if you knew what was going to happen. But the pairing sounded somewhat sexual and you wanted to know if you were entering a sex cult or something.
“After the Attestupa tomorrow the elders make five pairings of people. It’s like…superstition. Whichever pairing seems to be best put together by the end of the festival gets to be married.” You scoffed.
“Married? Like a legit wedding?”
“As legit as we get around here. There is no paperwork or church to defy,” Ingemar explained.
“What’s the Attestupa?” you asked. You didn’t want to be insensitive to everything going on but you poked around for the sake of your sanity.
“Another thing easier seen than said,” Pelle explained.
“You are being awfully mysterious Pelle. Should I be worried?” He shook his head.
“No, not at all.”
-
After the Attestupa you were about to leave. Dani’s panic attack, which was justified after the events you had all witnessed, caused you to jump into protective mode. It was too early in her grieving process to be seeing death at all, let alone death right in front of her. It didn’t matter what kind of processes the people here went through, she needed to leave.
It was Pelle who convinced you both to stay. He apologized, assuring you both that nothing like that would happen again soon. It was part of the world he grew up in and didn’t think he needed to protect you from something he saw as normal.
You waited for Dani’s go ahead. When she said she would stay, so did you.
Then came the pairing.
The elders gathered everyone around the table again. They had a scroll out in front of them and you stood next to Dani, teetering back and forth on the balls of your feet. Pelle assured you there would be no deaths here. This was about the rebirth of those who had just died, the children that would be had from the couples paired together. You looked around, wondering which people had been waiting for this their entire lives.
Then your name was called.
Pelle and you.
Ingemar and Connie.
Then other names you didn’t know, people that had lived here their whole lives. Your eyes were still bursting out of your head from the time they brought you and Pelle up, gave you intertwining floral headgear and showed you to one of the private cabins.
Simon was still yelling from outside about Connie, wanting to drag her away, unsure of the reason she had been chosen. Dani watched you go but couldn’t grab you. She wanted to give you a thumbs up but didn’t have the heart to, unsure if you were going to die the second you were away from her eyeline.
When you were inside the cabin you took off the flower crown. You placed it on the bed halphazerdly., turning to Pelle.
“Okay, what the fuck is this?” you questioned. “Ingemar has a crush on Connie and now they’re paired together? What is this Pelle? Please.” He approached you and you didn’t back away. You still felt safe with him, even after all the things that had happened. You truly believed he wouldn’t hurt you.
“It’s not like that, I promise.” He put his hands on your arms, trying to center you. “They pair up some of the visitors every Midsommar,” he assured you. “I had no idea it would be you and I or Connie and Ingemar. They have to pair up some outsiders to avoid any incentuous children, they aren’t doing it from any kind of ill mind.”
It felt weird. In this room, alone, when you had just been in a group housing situation. You already wanted to see Dani.
“This is weird Pelle.”
“I understand it isn’t normal. But they aren’t forcing anything on us, on you. We’ll sleep here but it would be normal, as though we were sleeping a couple feet away in the group house.”
“So we don’t have to do anything right?”
“There will be a few pair games but those are normal. Like…compatibility games. They aren’t dangerous, I assure you. Do you trust me?” You swallowed hard, meeting his eyes. You nodded slowly.
“I think so. Yes,” you promised. He nodded.
“You’re allowed to leave and see Dani and our friends. Don’t worry.”
“What about Simon and Connie?”
“I’m sure Connie and Simon will see each other again soon. There’s no need to worry about them.” You nodded.
“At least they paired me with you. They could’ve paired me with Christian and I could've drowned him in the toilet or something.” Pelle gave you a small laugh. He put his hand on your arm, softly.
“Let’s have dinner alright?” You nodded, following him out of your cabin.
-
“So it’s like a game?” Dani questioned. “Why couldn’t they put Christian and I together. Maybe then he’d finally think about marriage.”
“You don’t wanna marry that guy,” you said, shaking your head. You were sitting by the gardens together. Pelle was harvesting some food and you watched, for moral support. “Pelle says it’s like a game. Whoever is most compatible at the end gets married.”
“Legally?”
“As legal as this all is,” you said.
“Did you see that Simon left this morning? Without Connie. Hitched a ride,” Dani explained. You shook your head.
“Really?”
“Yeah. Someone took him in the car into town.” You didn't know the guy well but were surprised. They seemed really close. Engaged, if you remembered.
“Pelle?!” you called. He turned around, putting the shovel into the dirt.
“Yes?”
“Did you hear Simon left?” He shook his head and walked over. He was sweating from the sun. His white baggy shirt clung to his chest. You were grateful again that you were paired with him out of anyone, the slight crush growing with the coincidence.
“I didn’t. Who told you this?”
“Ingemar,” Dani explained. “When Connie went looking. Do you think Christian would do something like that?” You wanted to scoff and answer honestly. Instead you met Pelle’s gaze and shook your head, lying.
“I’m sure he wouldn’t.” Pelle extended a hand.
“Would you like to help me?”
“Looks like hard labor.”
“I promise I’ll make it easier. Come.” You reached out and let him help you stand. You glanced back at Dani, who smiled, squinting under the sun.
“You guys are cute. Sure to win best pair.” You rolled your eyes.
“You get to be the maid of honor.”
“The may queen traditionally get’s that spot,” Pelle explained. You raised your eyebrows to her.
“Better get your dancing feet ready.”
-
“Have you seen Josh?” Dani questioned. She stood in front of your cabin door, concern lacing her voice. You rubbed your eyes. Pelle had let you sleep in a bit, allowing you to skip breakfast and bringing some back. You shook your head.
“No. Not since yesterday. Why?” Her jaw set.
“I can’t find him.”
“Isn’t the May Queen thing today? I doubt he’d miss that,” you offered. “Plus, I have a compatibility thing today too.” Dani nodded tightly. You were right. Josh would show up eventually.
“Can you ask Pelle if he’s seen him?”
“Yeah of course. You okay?” She nodded but she had that melancholy look on her face that was hard to read. You weren’t sure if she was just putting up a front or if she was at all settled. You wanted to ask her more questions but she turned slowly and walked towards the main part of the commune. You squinted in the sun. Pelle passed her while he was walking back from wherever he had gone.
“Are you ready?” he questioned. You nodded a bit.
“Thanks for letting me sleep in.”
“Of course. I want you rested.”
“So what do we have to do? Is it like a sack race or something? Who knows each other better? Quick, what’s your favorite color?” He chuckled. He looked down, intertwining your fingers. You let him, though you were suspicious.
“A tad more serious than that.”
“Pelle…”
“You’ll be fine. I promise.” He was determined to win this one. He had never been chosen for a pairing before but he had seen it happen. The pairs were sent out on the cliff and had to be the last two standing after a scuffle of pushing and shoving.
Ingemar and Connie were removed, after Connie mysteriously disappeared after causing too much commotion. There were only two more couples.
Neither were as strong or connected as you and Pelle.
He just wondered how he would get you up the mountain. Once you were there he had no doubt he could convince you to push for your own self preservation, along with his.
As Dani took a drink of the special tea before the May Queen dance, you drank some offered by Pelle as you started up the mountain.

Thanks for your request and the gif isn't mine!

-he can jealous like everyone but not to the point to make a scene he isn't like that but he would definitely get in if he notice you are getting uncomfortable
-he don't like guys flirting with you if he see that he would go and put hand on your hips and kiss your neck if that guy wanna say something to you he can tell it to him too!
-jealous 5/10 he thrust you and know you are a decent and loyal person that's why he loves you
-he would definitely take you out of a conversation if he noticed you are getting uncomfortable or wanna end the conversation always with excuses or just taking your hand and going
Sorry if it's short its just I ran up ideas

BIGGEST BLOG RULE BELOW:
vague requests are EXTREMELY low priority and from this point on i probably won’t write them at all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . they drain me on a creative level that's so profound i can't put it into words (example. tiffany valentine x gender neutral reader) (example 2. headcanons for hellboy x fem!reader) (example. billy loomis x male reader). i write original content off of tumblr and with every passing year i have less time to write for this blog. now we're down to a couple hours a week i can devote to tumblr writing. having to come up with ideas constantly is how this blog goes without any updates for months at a time. next time it gets bad could make that timeline years. i get burnt out creatively very easily and i will always prioritize diverting brain power towards my original writing if this blog drains me. do with that information what you will. more detailed requests for the longevity of this blog encouraged (example. chucky x reader and how they make up after a fight)

Requested: by anon, Hello hello hello 👋 I just read your new Pelle fic and.. thank you for reviving my Midsommar obsession ❤️ It gave me an idea for a request, too. Something on the creepy vibe (if you're okay with it) with Pelle and a shy reader, like super shy. She can be friends or a sibling of the group (to justify why she's there). He is completely smitten, and she doesn't understand why.
I hope you enjoy love! I hope you don't mind I made it with headcanons, I thought it would flow better. I love doing a subtle creep, the horror fan in my goes wild lol.
You had known grown up as a childhood friend to Mark, which turned into you both going to the same college, which turned into you being friends with his friends
You quickly grown close to Dani, as the only other girl who frequented the boring testosterone filled dinners
But you had otherwise been friends with all of them, comfortable with being around overnight if you needed to be, to go out drinking and trust them to watch over you if you had a little too much
Other than that you remained shy and quiet. You had your friends with no real reason as to branch out further than that. You had never been sure if it was a mix of social anxiety or just sheer uninterest but when you were out, you tended to be silent
The group brought you out of your shell but you had known some of them for years, they had broken down past your walls and been granted access to your personality
When Pelle came you were unsure how to feel about him
He brought a warm composure with him, as well as a natural need to pry about everyone's lives
You lived in the middle of being unsure with him, never positive if he was too be trusted, never sure if you could believe he was part of the group or not
Pelle on the other hand, was enthralled
He had never seen someone he so easily wanted to get along with. Was it the challenge of having to get past your natural boundaries? Was it the way your silence indicated a deeper understanding of everything around him? Was it the fact that you were the only person who was suspicious of him, able to see past the expert front he was putting out?
“She’ll warm up to you,” Mark promised. “She’s just shy. We’ve all known her for like…forever.” Pelle nodded, watching you interact with Dani. You were sitting at the table in the other room. He could only see a sliver of you, a gentle smile and a soft laughter. He ached to make you laugh like that, to make you understand him in the way he wanted to understand you.
“Yes, yes. I understand being naturally unsure,” Pelle said, though he didn’t mean it. He wished, not for the first time, that he had brought things from home. Things that would loosen you up, things that would get you to talk.
He truly didn’t think this was wrong. This sinister streak was all he had known.
“Just don’t take it too personally alright?” Mark asked. He was distracted, on his phone. Pelle looked towards him, watching him. A fool. A natural fool who could never read between the lines.
“Of course not.”
Pelle watched you with a natural eagerness, a desire to understand, a desire to completely hold
He started to do subtle things. Things that you should be able to chalk up to coincidence. Going to the same library as you so that you didn’t have to talk to him but knew he was there. Getting the same coffee order. Always being around when you planned to stop by.
You wondered if you should consider him a nuisance, stalker or a soulmate. The lines blurred as you saw him more
Finally you started to open up. It was slow. You talked to him, to be polite, but never more than you had to. And then you would answer his questions with longer answers. Then you wouldn’t mind being around him for a longer period of time.
You couldn’t figure out why he was seemingly so enthralled
“He’s smitten,” Dani explained. She was sitting on the couch beside you, legs up beneath her. You shook your head.
“He doesn’t even know me,” you argued. She shrugged.
“I think he knows more than you think. He’s been nice to you right?” You feared that. You feared that he knew more than he was letting on. Something about him said he would observe and absorb. You understood that and you understood how that could be used for less than good reasons. “Just give him a chance. We all like him.”
“I know, I know. I guess it’s just this gut feeling.”
It was the pressure from the others that generally sent you into being closer to him. He was so happy to see you more likely to talk to him. You asked him questions about home and he gave you cagey answers. You pressed some of the answers. He never seemed to give you the full picture
He loved that about you
You were smart and you were observant
He was extremely hopeful you would come back home with him. You would see how he lived and you would understand everything. It would all fall into place
Pelle knew how to bide his time and he knew that there was no use in pressuring you. It would undo all of his progress!
Instead he just let you instinctively become more used to his answers. You would chalk it up to cultural differences. You didn’t want to be rude right?
He wanted you to be May Queen. He wanted you to stay forever, to be by his side. You would make such a beautiful May Queen, covered in flowers. You would no longer have to hide within yourself.
“Everyone’s going to Sweden?” you asked. Your voice was always quiet, like you were contemplating staying silent. Pelle nodded.
“Even Dani, I believe. It’ll be her birthday and she wants to celebrate.” You hardly believed that. Dani surely wanted a distraction from the horrors of her current life. You couldn’t blame her. “You should come. I think you would enjoy my home, as I’ve enjoyed yours.”
You nodded slowly. You didn’t like long trips, filled with all those new people. It was draining.
“I’ll have to ask Mark if he thinks I can tag along.” Pelle nodded.
“I hope you will. It’s beautiful and extremely educational. You might not want to leave.”

The Boys
Pelle x fem!reader
Word Count: 1.4k
Warnings: the guys hitting on the reader, dani hating christian more so than usual
Author’s Note: I hope you like this darling! I love getting requests for flower boi Pelle so this was a pleasure <3
Requested: by anon, I LOVE Pelle!midsommar is my go to movie!!!I keep imagining if Pelles SO was already part of the Harga, mas when the group met her for the first time(aka Josh and Christian) they'd be mesmerized by her (she's probably a female version of Pelle, so she'd be like a siren to them) what do you think?
Summary: the request
I don’t own these characters. They belong to author/director/creator
(not my gif)
Pelle had spoken about you to the guys. You were the reason that he didn’t date around while he was in America. Sure, had shown pictures and such but because of how far out the Hårga lived, you and Pelle weren’t ever able to actually speak.
Dani sat across from Pelle uncomfortably, glad he was there. He was the only one that Dani didn’t feel was constantly judging her for going to Sweden with them.
“So you live in a..a commune right?” Dani questioned. He nodded pleasantly.
“Here I have pictures. It’s easier to see rather than explain.” She got up from her chair and sat down on the couch beside him as Pelle pulled up some photos. On his phone were vibrant pictures of people in white dresses and flower crowns, the scenery, and some food. Dani smiled. It looked like a nice welcoming place.
“Who are they?” she asked, pointing at the girls in the photo that were sitting on the ground. Pelle smiled to himself.
“They are participating in part of the festivities. That one right there,” he said, pointing to the girl smiling in the middle of the photo, “is my girlfriend Y/N.” Dani’s eyes went wide as she smiled warmly.
“I didn’t know you had a girlfriend back home! Have you been able to speak to her at all?” Pelle turned his phone off.
“Unfortunately not really. We don’t have reception at home but she is one of the ones who often goes out to get people so I am able to speak to her at least every two weeks.”
“You must be so excited to see her.” Pelle smiled and nodded quickly. He radiated love when he spoke about you. Dani felt a little sting in her heart. She couldn’t remember the last time that Christian ever looked like that around her. Pelle must have loved you very much.
“Very excited.”
====
You had been preparing for Pelle’s arrival for weeks. You had gone out last year to get people for the summer festivities and stayed there for schooling. Pelle hated being away with you but didn’t want to say no to his duties that made him go this year. You hadn’t exactly loved being away from him either. It meant that you were forced out of all of the couple activities that the Hårga underwent during the year and that during the winter you had a bed all to yourself.
All in all, you were prepared for his return. You had set up his bed beside yours and prepared his spot at meals. You were pleased to know he was bringing back quite a group this time around. Last year you had only managed to get a group of three. All of them had been killed rather quickly, not living up to the expectations of the Hårga.
“Oh Y/N! You didn’t have to come all the way out here,” Ingemar called to you. You had trekked out to the fields to meet Pelle after his long car ride there.
“I wanted to!” you said, hugging him tightly. He had two people standing beside him awkwardly. He pulled away from you.
“To meet Pelle no doubt.”
“Yes,” you admitted. He shook his head, laughing.
“No matter.” He gestured to the two people beside him. “This is Connie and Simon. Connie and Simon, this is Y/N.” You shook their hands, a warm smile on your face.
“Welcome!”
“So you are part of Ingemar’s commune?” Simon asked. You nodded.
“Yes. It’s very nice to meet both of you.”
“I believe your Pelle has returned,” Ingemar said, nudging you. Your head flew up as you saw the car park in the road. You noticed Pelle’s head of hair as he came out, that soft smile on his face as he gestured for all of his friends to get out of the car.
“You’ll have to excuse me,” you said and then went speed walking over to Pelle. He caught your eye before you even got a chance to yell for him. He met you in the middle, picking you up as you jumped into his arms. You held onto him, feeling the rush of butterflies in your stomach. He smelled the same, though there was an undertone of American to him. You tugged on his curly locks of hair before pulling away, kissing him gently.
His lips yearned for yours. You had to pull away much too soon so that you could be properly introduced to his friends. They stood a ways behind him, holding all of their stuff close. You tried to peel yourself away from Pelle but he kept your hands intertwined, not wanting to let go of you yet.
“My friends, this is my love Y/N. Y/N, this is Mark, Josh, Christian, and Dani, my friends from America.” You shook their hands, making eye contact with each of them.
“It’s very nice to meet each of you,” you said kindly. You noticed Mark, Josh and Christian keeping their eyes on you, giving you big googly eyes. Dani just smiled kindly at you, pleased there was another girl there. “I can only imagine being in a car that long with so many boys, Dani. I’m glad you’ve decided to come along with them.” She laughed genuinely and rubbed her upper arm.
“I’m just glad I get to stretch my legs.” Mark nudged Christian and you caught the whisper they exchanged.
“She’s fucking hot dude.”
“I know,” Christian said, quietly enough to where Dani couldn’t hear. You ignored it. Pelle put his arms around your waist from behind and your eyes remained on your guests.
“We have a lot of things in store for you lovely people!”
“You might love it in America, you know,” Mark said. “We should take her back instead of you Pelle.” Pelle chuckled, completely secure in your feelings for him.
“I actually went to America last year to study anthropology just like Pelle,” you explained. Josh raised an eyebrow.
“Did you learn more about the different kinds of communes? That’s what I’m studying, the different rituals and traditions,” Josh explained. You nodded quickly.
“Yes! I was interested in seeing what others liked to do and how it compared.” Josh almost melted. You turned around to Pelle and put your hand on his chest.
“I got your bed and meal seating ready. You should find it satisfactory,” you told him excitedly.
“She did that for you?” Christian asked. Dani’s lips thinned and she looked down at the ground.
“She was just preparing for my return. I appreciate it very much dear.” You smiled warmly and turned back to your guests.
“I suppose Ingemar will come soon with the bag of herbs,” you said. Pelle’s eyes went wide.
“Ingemar is here?” He searched the area and his eyes landed on Ingemar. His smile only brightened as he went to see his brother. You watched pleasantly, standing between Dani and Mark.
“So what did you find interesting about schooling?” Josh asked.
“Oh I quite liked Germany’s traditions. John’s Eve was very interesting-”
“Did you date guys while you were in America?” Mark asked, cutting you off. You shook your head gently.
“I’ve always been devoted to my Pelle,” you explained. He walked back with Ingemar, Simon and Connie in tow.
“You’re all just in time! We’ve just taken these,” Ingemar said. You smiled brightly.
“If Y/N’s doing it-” Christian started.
“Of course she is,” Pelle finished, putting his hand on the small of your back. He was happy to have you beside him again. Now he just had to fend off his friends.

We'll Stay
Midsommar AU
Will Graham x fem!reader
Word Count: 1.7k
Warnings: cult, murder, suicide,
Author’s Note: I’m sorry it’s only one part, I wasn’t quite motivated enough to do 2! But I hope you enjoy it anyway <3
Requested: by anon, hiii!! so, I was curious as to whether u could possibly do a will graham (baby boy!!!) x fem!reader 2 part oneshot (with a SLIGHT Hannibal x reader but main is will graham) in which...it's practically a midsommar au! except Y/N doesn't have a fallout with partner unlike dani. Y/N, however, indulges herself into a cult after a fallout hits close to home and....yea! u can go from there and hopefully u can do it! thanks :)
I don’t own these characters. They belong to author/director/creator
(not my gif)
You looked out the window at the passing scenery. You hadn’t seen another person for miles upon miles. You wondered how close you were to Pelle’s commune. Hopefully close. You were getting tired and your legs were stiff from sitting in one spot for so long.
You glanced at Will beside you in the backseat. He was napping pleasantly on his jacket, his breathing even. You wish that you had been able to fall asleep so quickly. Your eyes wandered up to the front of the car where Pelle was driving, Alana sitting beside him. They were speaking so quietly, you couldn’t even make out the words. You weren’t sure why you were here.
Pelle worked alongside Alana for some time in a research based job Alana had been doing on the side. He had tagged along with her to a couple of Hannibal's dinner parties where he had met you and Will. You and Pelle had hit it off right away. He explained that he came from Sweden and would love it if you, Will and Alana went with him for the midsommar festivities. You were hesitant but Alana insisted and you didn’t want her to go alone. Plus, you were dealing with some family stuff at home. You just wanted to get away from it. As far as you could. Sweden seemed like a nice deal.
Your phone buzzed. You picked it up mindlessly, sliding it open to see the text. You only had one bar left. You must be getting out of service soon. Hannibal had sent a message.
Be safe. Watch Will.
You smiled a bit at his worry. You had wanted him to come along but he declined, saying being so far out in the wilderness wasn’t his style. You sent him back a quick text.
I will, I promise.
“Are we almost there?” you asked Pelle. He nodded pleasantly.
“Ten minutes. Can you wake up, Will please?” You nodded and turned to your boyfriend, nudging him. You caught Pelle glancing at the two of you through the rear view mirror as Will perked his head up, grabbing your hand gently.
“Almost there,” you whispered. He sat up, rubbing his eyes. He leaned over onto your lap and closed his eyes again.
“5 more minutes.”
====
“This walk was longer than I thought,” Alana muttered, laughing gently. She hadn’t worn her regular fancy clothing. It felt odd to look at her without it. Will had still opted to wear a flannel, though you told him it was going to be hot and you were going to be walking.
“We’re very close. It will be worth it,” Pelle explained. Will grabbed your hand as the two of you walked a ways behind Alana and Pelle.
“What happens if we want to leave?” he asked. You shrugged.
“We can leave.” You raised his hand and kissed the back of it. “Don’t think too hard on it.” He scoffed.
“Oh no. Me? Think hard about something?” You rolled your eyes but was quickly distracted by the clearing you came upon. There were a couple large buildings and people in white everywhere. You let go of Will’s hands in shock and looked around incredulously.
“This is my home!” Pelle said. People rushed up to see him. Your eyes went wide as he hugged and greeted them all, seeming to know each and every one of them personally.
“You know all of these people?” Alana asked.
“They’re my family,” Pelle explained before speaking some words in Swedish you didn’t understand. You smiled gently and looked over at Will.
“It’s beautiful.” He seemed skeptical. You nudged him. “I know it isn’t Wolf Trap Virginia but try and enjoy the sun.”
“We get sun back at the house,” he muttered. “I miss the dogs.”
“Me too. But they’ll be okay I promise.” Pelle had brought some people up to you. You gave them kind smiles.
“Welcome! We are so glad you were able to make it. We are about to make the announcements, you’re just in time. If any of you need anything, speak to me or Pelle.” You nodded.
“Thank you for having us,” Alana said.
“It is our pleasure, trust me.”
====
Pelle led the three of you out alongside everyone else to a nice clearing with a cliff. You had a weird breakfast that morning but you were trying to keep an open mind. Will, not so much. He was ready to go. You insisted on a couple more days.
“So what is this again?” you asked Pelle.
“Shhh, it’s starting.”
You closed your mouth and nodded a bit, watching as two older people were carried up the cliff. You and Will exchanged a look.
You watched carefully as the woman launched herself off. One of the other visiting groups screamed. Alana grabbed Pelle, asking quick questions, shaking her head, holding her stomach.
You and Will were silent. Almost unphased. You had seen so much death, it never seemed to bother you.
Then the man jumped and you just watched, his head smashed on the ground. You opened your mouth a bit and Will grabbed your arm.
“We’re leaving,” he said.
“No,” you said, probably too aggressively. Will’s eyebrows furrowed and he stood back.
“Why?”
“I don’t want to.” Pelle watched you carefully as he calmed Alana down. He suppressed a smile.
===
You went back to the houses after everyone had calmed down. Everyone had spread out a bit. Will took Alana for a walk while you stayed in the house where you slept, making sure all of Will’s things were in order if he really wanted to leave. You almost didn’t hear Pelle sneak up on you.
“You reacted well. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you up front.” You jumped, turning back to him. You shook your head gently.
“I see a lot of death in my job.”
“Still. I imagine it was a shock.”
“A tad.” You averted your eyes. He sat down on one of the beds.
“It truly is a lovely place here. I feel very loved. They’re my family and they protect me through everything. From what I know of you, I feel you would like it here.” You tried to figure out why he was telling you that.
“I do. I mean...I don’t know.” You sat down beside him.
“Here. This will help with your nerves, just smell it.” You didn’t even think about it, you just did as he said. He put it away and then watched you for a moment. Pelle put his hand on your leg. Your eyes went wide and you stood up.
“I’m with Will,” you said. “In case you had forgotten.” Pelle looked concerned though you didn’t understand why.
“But you’re meant to feel held by the things you love. Do you feel loved by him? Held by him?”
“Yes,” you said without a beat of hesitance. “He’s my best friend.”
Pelle acted like your relationship with Will didn’t mess with his plans of having you here. But who knew. He still had Alana.
====
You hadn’t seen Will since you woke up this morning. Pelle had made you go to the May Queen dance, shoving a glass of something on you. You asked where Alana was and he said he didn’t know. Where could she have gone? Where was Will?
The worries subsided when you were dancing. You couldn’t quite see what was going on and you didn’t understand it at all but your feet were moving. Your hands were being held by the other women of the commune, their laughter infectious. It almost made you forget about Will.
Almost.
You caught sight of him walking into the field of women who had already stopped dancing. You didn’t stop but you kept your eyes on him as you moved. He looked uncomfortable. You wanted to go to him but your feet told you to keep on dancing.
There was a yell and you stopped. You were the only person still up.
“You are our May Queen!” someone yelled. You were dizzy and tired. You started to walk to Will but people were getting in your way. He reached for you.
“What?” you whispered. “Why me?”
As you struggled, people put a flower crown on top of your head. You just barely touched Will’s finger tips before they dragged you away.
“I want to see Will,” you said, sounding far away. “Let me see Will.”
They didn’t bother answering you. You started to cry quietly, shaking your head.
“We are going to do a ritual!” Pelle said, holding your hand.
“Where’s Will?”
“You are the May Queen. He will not be harmed if you so wish.” You shook your head.
“Leave him alone.” Pelle nodded and gestured for Will to come forward. You grabbed his arm and he looked you up and down. How did this dress of flowers get on you? “Don’t leave me,” you said to him, slurring your words.
“I won’t. We’ll stay together.” You looked around at the people around you. They were smiling at you, hanging off of your every movement. You took a deep breath and suddenly didn’t feel the need to hide from them.
They were like a family. Like the one you should have had.
“We’ll stay,” you said convicted.
“Huh?”
“We’ll stay.”

hiii!! so, I was curious as to whether u could possibly do a will graham (baby boy!!!) x fem!reader 2 part oneshot (with a SLIGHT Hannibal x reader but main is will graham) in which...it's practically a midsommar au! except Y/N doesn't have a fallout with partner unlike dani. Hi so I sat here for a while after reading this and then left it to think because au’s can sometimes be really bad when I do them lol however
the prospect of Will Graham in midsommar with a person who actually loves him and is already susceptible to a cult….it’s right up my alley. I don’t know if it’ll need to parts cause I was able to do a pelle midsommar rewrite fic in one part but we shall see. It’s added to the list!
(also can you please clarify the last bit on how she agrees to the cult because a ‘fallout hits close to home’? I’m a bit confused on that part)

i do headcanons and scenarios. specify which you’d like when you send your request or i’ll wind up picking for you. for headcanons you can request up to FOUR characters per ask. you can, of course, send the same request for a different character.
vague requests are EXTREMELY low priority and i probably won’t write them at all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . they drain me on a creative level (example. tiffany valentine x gender neutral reader) (example 2. headcanons for hellboy x fem!reader).
i write original content off of tumblr and with every passing year i have less time to write for this blog. having to come up with ideas constantly is how this blog goes without any updates for months at a time. i get burnt out creatively very easily and i will always prioritize diverting brain power towards my original writing if this blog drains me. do with that information what you will.
more detailed requests for the longevity of this blog encouraged (example. chucky x reader and how they make up after a fight)
like my blog? my cashapp and kofi are both slasherscream
#masterlist#rules#slasher imagines#slasher x reader#scream imagines#heathers imagines#lost the first post i made about this but whatever it's fine it's fine#gotta make this place organized for ......mobile users bc i love y'all
