Since his birth, Pek, along with his other siblings, was treated with love. He maintained a deep curiosity but also a slight nervousness at the world around him and had difficulty leaving the cave without his father’s aid. Many among the tribe saw his upbringing as ‘sheltered’ or ‘soft’, something their kind couldn’t risk, but nonetheless, the tribe stayed respectful of his parent’s wishes and treated him as family.

But all of that changed after his father’s death. His one figure of security and devotion had been ripped away, only to have his rebellious mother cast out and exiled from the tribe after renouncing the tribe’s beliefs of praising Moonah for her blessed gifts. Pek and his siblings, younger and older, would never see either of their parents again.

Pek and his siblings would, from that day on, be raised by their uncle, Shul. The eldest of his siblings, Shul was a gritty and harsh man, although devoted to each of his nieces and nephews, he showed very little mercy in raising them to be warriors. Especially Pek.

From the age of 7, Pek had already shed his shy and frightened shell, turning into a rougher and more harsh young boy. By age 14 he had already killed a man for trespassing, and mounted his head outside the cave as a warning to others.

He gained a reputation among the tribe for his strength and stealth, along with his willingness to carry out raids on rival tribes. But Shul’s harsh training had taken a toll on Pek’s emotional range; he struggled with letting go of his bitterness and anger. He had, what future humans would some day call, a 'foul mouth' and a 'sharp tongue'.

Because of his strength and sheer power, many young ladies in the tribe sought after him to sire babies, but Pek never accepted. Pek would be the only one of Rogh's sons not to have any children.

At age 20, Pek suffered what the tribe would call, a noble death. While on guard duty, Pek watched the tribe outside of the cave going about their day, when a Smilodon crept a little too close for comfort to two of his nieces who played nearby, unaware of the animal's presence. He saved the girls, but unfortunately lost his life during the battle with the giant cat.

He would be remembered as a noble warrior among the men, and a saviour to his nieces who would pass on his story to their own children, and their grandchildren for years to come.

Turning from fidgety and nervous to gentle and strong, Pek is an entirely different person than he was before, training for most of his youth under the Guardian alongside Pax to be Mutant Hunters. He and Pax are extremely close, and have been dating for years. While the Guardian is the true leader of the team, Pek is seen as a successor, Pax having no interest in that title and being content as Pek’s partner. Kind hearted and brave, most of the Survivors admire him, and while Pek appreciates this, he sees himself as a coward for running from his old home during such a terrible time. He wishes to return and fix things by taking down the leader, but he can’t do it alone. When he reunites with an old friend, Emmett Steele, he finally finds the connections he needs; both for himself, and for the sake of his cause.
