Prompt: Baking Gingerbread

The kitchen was filled with the warm, spicy scent of gingerbread baking in the oven. Y/n smiled as she rolled out the dough, cutting little gingerbread men one by one, while Pedro stood beside her, a mischievous grin plastered on his face. "I think we're getting better at this." She said, placing another tray of cookies into the oven. Pedro gave her a playful nudge with his elbow. "Better? Bebe, we're professionals at this point." His voice was dripping with mock confidence. Y/n giggled, wiping a bit of flour off his cheek upon glancing at him. "Professionals, huh? You still get the measurements wrong half the time!"

Pedro gasped in mock offense, clutching his heart. "I would never! I am a man of precision." Rolling her eyes, Y/n grabbed the bowl of freshly made icing, the pale white glaze looking perfect. "Sure, you are." She teased. "Why don't you help me ice these guys, Mr. Precision?" Pedro, with a twinkle in his eye, picked up the spoon to inspect the icing. He dipped a finger in it, scooping up a bit to taste. Before Y/n could stop him, he brought it to his lips, eyes lighting up like a little kid. "Mmm, this is good!" He exclaimed, but he didn't stop there. The next thing she knew, he was licking the spoon clean, savoring every bit of the sweet icing like it was the most delicious thing he'd ever tasted.

Y/n pulled the bowl closer to her, trying to stifle a laugh. "You're like a kid, you know that?" Pedro grinned, wiping a bit of icing from his chin with the back of his hand. "What? You made it so good! How could I resist?" Shaking her head, she took the spoon from him and handed him another clean one. "Fine. Just try to resist this time and help me with the gingerbread men, okay?" He winked at her, but there was a mischievous glint in his eyes. "No promises."

As they began icing the little gingerbread men, Pedro kept sneaking glances at the bowl of icing. Y/n caught him more than once, raising an eyebrow in warning, but he only shrugged innocently. "You really are like a kid." She muttered under her breath, though she couldn’t help but smile.

Before long, the gingerbread men were perfectly decorated, standing in a neat little row with icing smiles and candy buttons. Y/n stepped back to admire their work. "They look amazing." Pedro wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her close. "You mean we look amazing." He said, pointing to the gingerbread figures. "That one's definitely me." He gestured to one with a slightly crooked smile. Y/n laughed, leaning into him. "And that one’s me." She pointed to the gingerbread man next to it, its arms stretched out toward Pedro’s. "Perfect match." He whispered, pressing a soft kiss to her temple. She smiled, turning her face up to him. "You're still not getting any more icing, though." Pedro chuckled, looking down at her with that signature smirk. "We'll see about that."
