Dreaming of a Sweeter Time – Solo by Cinder

❝ 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘿𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙆𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨, 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙞𝙙𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙎𝙬𝙞𝙢𝙨. ❞

‘I don’t like the water; I hear the salt level in there could make my hinges rust.’ I heard #Iko’s voice. What was she talking about now? I could hear #Peony in there with her, but there was no sign of #Adri or #Pearl.

“Thank the Stars, I am not in the mood for a fight tonight.” I grumbled as I set my wrist to the ID reader, waiting for the light beside the apartment door to turn green. The reaction time on the reader had been slowing a little of late, so I made a note to check for updates later once I’d eaten and had a shower.

My body was aching today, after a full day at the market. And then I had been to the Taihang District Junkyard again, looking for parts I could use in the booth as well as the side jobs I’d been taking to collect some univs over my daily earnings. So, coming back here to find some peace for once was a gift from the Stars.

I walked up the hallway, following the sounds of their voice. They were bickering, however at the same time both were having some fun with it too.

‘Oh, Come on Iko, we cannot go south of the European Federation and not stop off to swim in the warm waters between the African Union.’ #Peony was dancing around the living room pretending that she was swimming. ( And she did not know how to swim. )

‘I thought you were all about the fashion and the culture we could find in Paris?’ #Iko whined back. I found myself smiling, crossing my arms and leaning on the door frame watching the two of them.

‘I didn’t know there were rules saying, if I wanted to experience one thing I could not want for the other?’ #Peony stood with her hands on her hips, her back towards me as the two of them leant over the table looking down at something rolled open on top of it. ‘Iko you know, life is for Deep Kisses, Strange Adventures and Midnight Swims.’

I shifted on my feet to try to make out what the two were looking at. “What do you know about Kissing and what is that?” I said finally and the two screamed as #Peony jumped out of her skin. One moved to block the view and the other started to roll up what they were looking down at.

‘Oh Cinder! It’s only you!’ #Peony Stopped what she was doing and started to spread out things again. I moved across the room and found that it was a map of the Earthen Union they had found and lay on the top of the table. The two of them were plotting a route from the Eastern Commonwealth, all the way to the European Federation with stops on the way at places #Peony had dreamt to visit.

“You know I could have been Adri or Pearl, then what were you both planning on saying?” I asked but my eyes moved over the route they were plotting out. It was in no way the best route to travel, and there were a number of over laps. However, seeing the way they were talking and were excited I just couldn’t find it in me to correct their mistakes.

‘I would have told her I was planning my honey moon with the Prince. It would have distracted mom and #Pearl enough for Iko to hide the rest.’ She said matter of factly.

‘I have a hiding spot ready and waiting for all the plans too.’ #Iko chimed in right after.

“And Adri would have taken away your allowance Peony and Iko, she would have you broken down into spare parts and sold.” I mirrored #Peony with her ‘𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥’, attitude.

‘Oh please, you would never allow such a thing to happen.’ #Peony started dancing around the living room again.

“What are you doing?” I asked her as #Iko started to pack up the map and the pins they were pushing into it.

‘Practicing. For the Ball at the end of the 126th Annual Peace Festival. This year is the first time I am allowed to go. And I know the moment the Prince sees me, he will fall in love with the way I dance.’ She was pretty, and kind and full of hope. And it occurred to me that I’d not told her the plan.

“Peony…” I glanced to #Iko and then back to her. “The night of the Ball…” I stopped myself. Could I do this to my sister? The smile on her face, watching her dancing around the room like this. How could I break her heart?

‘What about the Ball?’ She laughed taking my hands and pulling me with her. ‘I can’t wait for us to go, it will be beautiful Cinder, the Palace will be magical, the music, the dancing, the food…. I hear they have over forty different types of sweet desserts!’

I stopped moving. The idea of over forty different types of desserts in one place? “Do you think they will have Mooncakes?” I asked smiling with my mouth watering.

‘Mooncakes, Dragon's beard candy, Grass jelly, Shaobing, Nuomici, Aiwowo and so much more…’ She was naming all the sweet treats that she knew I loved to eat but didn’t really get for myself often.

#Iko came back into the room from wherever she’d gone to hide the map and all the plans they had been working on. As the song changed, #Peony bowed as a boy would and then held out her hand towards me. ‘May I have the pleasure of this dance Linh Měi?’

We laughed as I bowed as well as I could, and then the three of us danced in a circle around and around and around. I could do this for my sister. All she ever wanted was to dance with Prince Kaito. And something told me that @RoyallyBound wouldn’t let a sweet girl like my sister down. I could change my plans for her.

I’m bored so I’m answering this by myself :)

 I’m not going to seduce anybody! Just going to look gorgeous ^^ A victorian gown made from rose petals ^^

Cut my hair and put on an armor - i was raised on Eowyn and always loved knights as a kid :D

Their kindness definitely - i would let them take care of little kids for a whole day, see how they intereact with them and how much patience they have :)

Torch, matches, rope, blanket, water and food, spare shoes and cape, map, first aid kit :D, knife, fishing line and hooks, dunno what else...

I’d ask a mouse and a raven and maybe a horse...

They’re all awful, but - in which castle would you rather be improsoned? A castle filled with your loved ones in deathly slumber and surrounded by rose hedges - a glass castle at the end of the world, threatened by the cruel coldness of sun and moon who hunger for human flesh - a castle with a beautiful garden where every path leads to the same secret chamber dripping in blood? I’ll go with the deathly slumber... It seems like the most comfortable option :D

DRAGON FRUIT

Who knew that there is a bright pink fruit like an explosion of flame which has an appearance of a pink rosebud – Dragon Fruit. This fruit belongs to the cactus family. It’s called Pitaya in hindi.
