My friend, Nadia, knows a lot about roses. That means she's the first to say that she doesn't know that much about roses because there is a LOT to learn about the genus of flowers that have been cultivated and bred more and for longer than any other. She asked me about this peachy coloured rose when she saw a photo. "Does it keep flowering over and over for months?" I had to tell her the truth. I have had it in a pot, then a bigger pot, then a bigger pot since the earthquakes of 2012. It clearly wasn't happy, but refused to die. It flowered maybe once a year, for seven years of suffering. It's been planted now at La Macchina Fissa, and "happy" doesn't begin to cover it's mood in the ground in full sun.
