okay, I didn’t want to share my proper thoughts on the chapter until I read it in it’s entirety (not just leaks) but some things crossed my mind

first off, I really love the opening pages. seeing geto and nanami and the rest made me cry for real (not just tearing up) but I feel like I have closure with both geto and nanami. I knew the minute gojo brought up “dying alone” that he was done for, but I think there is something really beautiful about the fact that he wasn’t alone.

I don’t really critique gege’s writing - and a part of me understands how gojo’s character counters everything in the story (hence why he was initially sealed) but…I’m still disappointed…his death just doesn’t sit right with me, and honestly it made me really fucking sad.

I feel like his character deserved more & with him gone there are now these gaps - who will guide the students in reforming jujutsu society? who will retrieve geto’s body back where it feels like justice was served to his character (my only exception to this would be shoko but it seems unlikely)? I can go on but…

something tells me that I don’t think this is the last we are seeing of gojo. there has to be a reason why his head is intact, and I feel like he wouldn’t have said that specific line to Toji without reason.

best case scenario is that that yuta or shoko will revive him but he loses his power and then we get to see what it means for him to just to be “satoru gojo” and not the the “strongest” but…

I have a feeling that kenny might get his hands on our boy…

remember when gojo said that he wants to see his students surpass him? I think it might happen in a very literal sense in which kenjaku might take his body and ultimately that might be the final battle. I don’t know what that means for geto, or if it opens up even the smallest chance that he might come back but…it’s just a thought…

I have a feeling we are going to see sukuna at his fullest potential, and I’m genuinely expecting more loss moving forward. sukuna was undefeatable for a reason, but I don’t know what this is going to mean for the rest 🥲 if gojo couldn’t defeat him, I really don’t know who will be able to at this stage…

either way, I just really wanted to share some rambles. I do feel like if this truly the end for gojo, then I will be significantly disappointed - it’s just such a disservice to his character.

but I’m holding out hope and I’m still eager to see how the story goes…

(ps. honestly though, my heart actually breaks for megumi. tsumiki and gojo by his own hand? that’s so unforgivable gege 😭)
