Music is just the best isn’t it, it’s what feelings sound like. We played 60’s classics throughout this session and man their are some golden oldies, I think I’ll add it to my playlist for sure - thanks Spotify 👍🏼 Lauren here is lovely and this is her 2nd shoot with me. Her 1st session was just last year when I lived in the USA and did a quick visit to Australia on one of our #PDAUSTour pop ins. Women, they are pretty extraordinary aren’t they. Intelligent, knowledgeable, funny and kind. Although there’s so many amazing and worthy women in my world right now I’d like to raise my glass to this one, my mummy🥂(with hmua here by @stylebydivine ). I sit back and try and feel the life she has had, losing her own mother at the age of 15 and with little to no support I just look at her now and just, wow, just wow 😲♥️✊🏼 hashtag mind blown on how far she has come and what she has achieved ✊🏼. I can’t even fathom what life was like for her in the 1970’s having to leave school to work at a Bonds sewing factory to then return to her education years later annnnd with two infants at her feet. Yeh-huh, my mummy took my older bro and I to College for her classes, we coloured in and from memory we were good-ish kids (we were probably little shits). Colouring is so fun though and I looked forward to going in with her so I could colour and eat lunch at the canteen they had there. I remember the new books she got me and the colour pencils, oh the 🌈rainbows of colour was just the best thing, the best. I idolized my pencil case and book bag (and glow worm and cabbage patch kids) 😂. Only now as a grown women myself I see what all that really meant. I love my mummy and all she has done for us. She’s such a powerhouse in a male dominated industry too, I love that about her. So strong, so awesome. If you see an awesome woman around today and every day let her know, give her a high five and a ‘You’re so badass’ head nod 😌. She hates her picture being taken, a bucket list tick of mine was to give her her own photo shoot one day, I did get a few shots off. Amazing women right. Let us be them. Let us know them. You know it Australia 🇦🇺 I’m baaaa-aaaaack! I juuust got back after three and a half years in the USA 🇺🇸. I’m taking on bookings too!Currently located in #NewcastleNSW and looking forward to exploring all the new developments. It was International Mermi (mermaid) day last week, who woulda thunk it, a whole day dedicated to awesome mermies 🧜🏼‍♀️🧜🏿‍♂️ Since our mermi session here with the lovely @tee_jayne_ (with specialty mermaid makeup by @stylebydivine ) we have expanded our mermi fin collection with purples, reds, pinks and blues, even GOLD! I think the gold is a little intense but would be ahhhh-mazing with the right scene set up. Who wants to try it ✊🏼☝🏼. Did you know about the not so secret Mermaid Society in Seattle? It was so sweet chatting to some fine folk today at the @kurrikurrinostalgiafestival here in Australia 🇦🇺. I was late and there’s no regrets. Kmart is awesome. (I was hanging out in home decor in complete bliss). It was nice supporting small business too (as well as Kmart) by purchasing a few goodies from a few of the sweet colorful vendors. @nostalgia_now @debstardesigns and @mizsmittenkitten we’re just a few of the amazing vendors this weekend, they had some cool and colorful stuff 🌈😎🌈 I totally snuck Cactus 🌵 seeds in through customs when flying over from the USA (I know I know, naughty) and palmed them off today to the local cati garden champions @streetwise_professor and @miss.cursed to see how they go 🌵grow you good thangs grow ✊🏼🌵 I also chatted with these sweet ladies too, @miss_gigi_anne and Miss @misscrystalbelle .
