Kakaobi Week 2020.

Day 13: Space opera.

Finally, little Kakashi can have the adventures he wants thanks to Obito and his confused companions who have no idea what happens.

PD: Kakashi is a type of candiru mermaid. The candiru is a tiny fish of Amazonas and is parasitic, also called "vampire fish". In this AU, when Kakashi controls Obito's body, he takes refuge in his blood.

ashe gets trickster’d in the space au by taking a deal with a rival gang to bring down overlord and it’s just. hey let us modify your body we promise we won’t do anything strange and he’s like resigned to it because this needs to happen. gets metal wings. vaguely parasitic metal wings

vyncents planet has this like really contrasting vibe i think. like its a bright city above land on like scattered islands surrounded by water. its mostly water

A Crucified Man (or. i got bored. wrote space au stuff. cw for medical horror question mark?)

William drags his feet as he shuffles over to the cold metal table. The servos in the back of his head whir and groan as he maneuvers to sit, letting himself sigh. His brother stands across from him, messing with the large medical equipment and looking over what he knows is his own file.

Enhanced sight, hearing, and reaction speed. In tune with our electronics. Normal in that regard- It cuts off as David swipes the screens off, spinning around on his heel to face Will. His face is blank as always, and the metal in his face grinds as he gives a faint smile.

“Thanks for being patient, brother.”

“Aren’t I always?”

“That’s true. I’m just gonna be doing some…maintenance today, you’ll probably be a bit sore afterwards- no looking at screens, okay?”

“…got it. Are my processors off for this?”

“Course. Go ahead and start doing that.”

William gives a nod, and gets comfortable as he shuts his eyes. Several hundred lines of code begin to flash behind his eyes- ending with the printed words of All systems down.

David Bell just sighs as he begins to work. Screens flash in his sight as Will comes into sight. His eyes fall onto his brothers legs- and he sighs as he places his palms onto the right side. The pale- artificial skin disappears in a instant, and is replaced by the normal look of electronic muscles and wires, done in white metal and silver.

He has to admit he did a good job with those. It was tedious, and on the wrong person, but they turned out good. A red screen blares into his vision, and he swipes it away. He knows what he’s looking at- his kid brother went mingling and hurt his foot, and hadn’t stopped complaining for days- David’s just gonna speed up the healing system, get it over with.

He starts by tearing out the mangled wires that make themselves known at the general ankle area. He has rolls of the stuff on the table next him that he doesn’t look at as he grabs and replaces. The fine, white metal of the flesh seems undamaged, and he’s glad for that. That’s less that needs fixing.

He works quick- not wanting to spend more time on this then needed- and when he’s finished he looks over his handiwork before running his hand over it again and returning it to…normal. A shame he has to keep this hidden, it really is wonderful. He moves over to where his brothers head lays next, and thinks.

If he didn’t have that urge to go look at things he shouldn’t, this wouldn’t have happened. He can replace that code in his head, he has the power to.

But David isn’t that cruel. So he implants some code for some realistic pain and starts up William’s reboot command before sighing, leaving the room.

fun space opera au facts

-william doesn’t need to breathe. it’s either being pumped outside of his body systems or he can just not need it for up to ten minute or so. has like horseshoe crab blood

-vyncent has four pairs of lungs. also a stronger kidney then the others he is not getting affected by anything ingested

-ashe starts hibernating if she’s too cold. she also sheds

-dakota has insane temperature tolerance as well. constantly runs warm but he can take up to like 150 F normally and is comfortable at freezing
