I’m sure I had a conversation planned out here but there’s absolutely no chance I’ll ever remember what it was now!

The left side of the house features a pond with a small fountain, a wishing well, a swing, a spot to practice yoga, a couple of places to sit, a bird feeder, a meditation stool and of course, a swing!

Aoife O’Shea... 

Growing up, Aoife never really felt like she fit in anywhere. And sure, you get people who feel like that, the people who don’t have a close friend group and feel like people don’t understand them or like the same things that they do. But that isn’t what Aoife felt. She felt she was quite literally different from everyone else for some reason and she could never understand why or put her finger on exactly what this difference she felt was.

Friends were something Aoife didn’t really have either. She had acquaintances and people she hung out with now and again, classmates etc. But she never had people she would tell her secrets to or want to know what their secrets were and promise never to tell anyone else. To be honest, she didn’t really care for anyone else. Not in a nasty way and she wouldn’t want anyone to come to any harm but she just didn’t feel any sort of connection with anybody.

The one being she does feel at least somewhat a connection with is Nacho, her cat. He’s been there since she was a toddler and he’s the only one that knows all of Aoife’s secrets, her thoughts and feelings on everything. Wherever Aoife goes, Nacho follows.

She tried to talk to her parents about this feeling a number of times but her mum always got rigid when the topic came up and refused to talk about. Again and again, her mum would tell her it’s just because of her age, she just needed to make some friends, go to college, get some life experience - she would feel normal in time and to just stop asking about it! Talking to her dad about it was pointless, he basically just switched off and muttered gibberish, clearly wanting to change the topic to literally anything else.

Her parents aren’t bad people though, they’re loving and clearly want the best for Aoife. It’s just that what they want Aoife to do isn’t what Aoife wants to do...

Aoife’s mum and dad would have her to go college and get a degree, get into a 9-5 job where she would work hard and climb her way up to the top after many years of grinding and late nights. Then she would meet someone, fall in love, get married, have a couple of kids and a dog - you know, the standard life of a slightly above average sim. The same life her parents had and the same life all her parents friends have, the same life that 99% of the population have.

Nah, Aoife wasn't about that. What Aoife wanted was to find her aunt. Her aunt who her mum doesn’t talk about and refuses to answer Aoife’s questions about. The only thing Aoife knows is that her aunt was last known to be living somewhere in Glimmerbrook.

Alright, so after about... 4 hours? I’ve made my sim (+ her family) and started building her house. I took these screenshots before stopping for the night because I have to get up for work tomorrow (yawwwwwn) so this is all I have for now.

Hopefully tomorrow evening I can finish her house then get some more screenshots and gameplay to share!

So, off Aoife went to Glimmerbrook, with Nacho in tow ready to start their journey looking for her Auntie.
