so called "maga communism" or "patriotic socialism" is just a rehashing of old nazbol (national bolshevist) ideology. these accounts often tend to try and synthesise regular leftist theory (e.g., Marx, Mao, Lenin, etc.) with that of openly anti-communist figures like Larouche and Dugin (both openly fascist individuals).

It's laughably predictable and telling how much "patsoc"/reactionary "communists" freaks are obsessed with hating specifically Starbucks employees trying to unionize right now and not customer service employees unionizing in general because Starbucks employees are cringe Gen Z queers with blue hair and pronouns and Starbucks is associated with a cosmopolitan/LGBT-friendly aesthetic (never mind the fact that Starbucks has been directly threatening employees' trans healthcare when they try to unionize). Anyway I truly wish these people get ass cancer and die.

i think the real point of divergence here is that gazi actually successfully hijacked a pre-existing left wing group, and the patsocs tried and failed to do that to the cpusa and had to form their own extremely cringe group (cpiusa) and from there it's just all been downhill.

also the "do girls pee from their butts" incident is impossible to bounce back from.

as far as ops/reactionary entryism goes, the patsocs are so much worse at it than gazi/black hammer was when he was at his peak. like, gazi was completely evil, but credit where it's due, he was also very competent at being an op and did an immense amount of damage. the patsocs are just clowns.
