This is an AU where Tord was attempting a one-man army of sorts, and it severely backfired when a certain old.. acquaintance ruined his awesome robot

When Paul and Patryck found and met him on the hill after the incident, Tord explained his plans. What he was hoping to accomplish. They decided that, if he would accept them, they would join his little army and they could take over the world one day. Together. Tord accepted their offer

Paul and Pat talked to Yuu from their old army and asked him to join their little group, knowing he was probably the only person he could recruit from there. Together they all came up with the simple name "The Red Army", dubbing Tord the "Red Leader"

A certain ginger, claiming to be "Matthew" knocks on the Army's doors and wishes to join. After some consideration from The Red Leader, Matthew was welcomed in and considered a part of the army, now making them a group of 5. That's enough to take over the world, right?

Snowfall Vigilantes is an AU focusing on government negligence of the Zombie apocalypse and how the Red Army fills this with extremely illegal and risky vigilantism. However, this leads to a long internal power struggle as well. Tord never moves away from home, instead maintaining a double identity.

The first traitor is Yuu Toman, who retreated with vital information in the enemy base in Moving Targets after working as the Red Leader's right hand man for years. Patryck joins the army far after this event and is unaware of it, but overall has stained the army's bond with each other and adds an air of distrust. Yuu has since disappeared under a secret identity while secretly keeping tabs on the army.

Tord joined at a young age, and rules with spontaneity as Red Leader. Patryck joined later and worked in corporate aviation previously, while being incredibly skilled and rising through the ranks, he figured that it would be ruled better under strict organization. Both are on two extremes. Paul doesn't wish to rise through the ranks, but has been there the longest. All 3 have bonded extremely closely, despite this being somewhat of a bad idea.

The End still occurs, resulting in Tom, Edd, & Matt being bounty hunters against Tord's head. However, seeing the miserable failure due to Tord's chaotic thinking and poor planning, Patryck rushes back to base, leaving Tord and alleging that he retreated, making him the second traitor. (also, there's no sad angst between Tord & His roommates, mainly just anger and wanting money back.) The neighbors are not bounty hunters, but are not opposed to helping.

Snowfall is the name given to Patryck's first executive order that officially made him the new Red Leader, albeit not everyone would agree that's the case. It was to move base into the snowy mountains, where they would ideally be very hidden as they continued to fight zombies.

Other involvements include Bing and Larry, epidemiologists who study the zombies, and Laurel who works to get resources for their lab. Yanov and Jasper, where Jasper is an eavesdropping red army janitor who snakes information back to Yanov, who considers himself a neutral medic. He'll give you info if he figures it's good, or for a good price. Ben, a man on Durdam Lane trying to keep out of everything, but faces unfair accusations, and Mike who brings these accusations with his shady and unclear past. Mike goes missing after the end. Jon who is killed and gets poorly resurrected.

How they met :D

In med school, pre RA. Yuu struggled to contain any information so him and Yanov regularly got together to study, leading to very late night conversations about themselves. Even when Yuu decided to drop out they kept in contact, Yanov occasionally sneaking them in to watch his surgeries. They both eventually got bored of their respective lives and wanted to share it ( unfortunately ) as a trauma surgeon and nurse in a bare bones rebellion ( RA ).

Their roles in the RA :>

Yanov is a trauma surgeon, he’s usually on the field or dragged into doing some weird mechanical project Tord wants help with.

Yuu is a nurse but not? I don’t know what else to describe him as, but he’s on the field helping carry soldiers to safety, or at base doing patient care when Yanov needs some extra hands.

Headcannons :3

Yanov is selectively mute, communicating through sign language or very rarely gives a one or two word answer/order/etc. It’s rooted in anxiety and just not talking is better than saying something. Yuu usually helps with shouting orders or asking for things he needs, never to speak over him but to give him a voice.

When there’s zero work to do and no one’s dying they lay back and nap to old ( 60’s-80’s ) love songs

Yuu practically begs Yanov to connect the dots between their freckles because they think it’s a sweet little reminder of him, it’s usually on her hand or arm.

Yanov writes cheesy little poems in a notebook he carries around 24/7. Yuu takes a peek in it and reads it every chance he gets, literally giggles and kicks his feet. No, Yanov has no idea they read what he writes, but he couldn’t care less if he knew that’s what she was giddy over.

Yuu has no interest in doing surgeries, discovered very quickly he can and will need to walk away and puke. They’re perfectly fine just handing over tools or taking care of the patient after it’s over. Meanwhile Yanov is crazy over it ( Cristina Yang core ), he will gently bully another surgeon into giving him a cool surgery he wants.

They’re both a good bit older than the rest of the guys, closer to their 50’s by the time the RA is well established and settled (Pat/Paul/Tord are around mid 30’s). It’s a common joke between the guys to point it out, it’s not bothersome, and they sometimes play into it. ( Also the ages are just when I think of em’ in my favorite area of the story I got going ) ( Also old man yaoi </3 )

They got into their relationship the first month of being in the RA. The feelings were mutual years before this but Yanov thought he was too busy, he’s still overwhelmed with work, but he’ll squeeze in time to relax with Yuu. In their later years Yanov decided to train more surgeons so he could spend more days with Yuu.

Yuu is :3 and Yanov is ._.

Neither of them EVER expected that zombies would ever be an issue.

Patryck and Paul are considered close and good pals, and Tord is basically the scum of the earth.
