Number one on Bad Buddy fic list on ao3 in terms of number of kudos, and for good reasons, too. Who doesn't want to a well-written realistic coda to what happens after episode 12 ended. Everyone's still stuck on the rooftop, this fic will keep you there and satisfied. In Bloom by onstoryladders

I usually don't go for alternate universe fics until I have exhausted all the good canon compliant ones and get desperate enough that I need to switch route. However, this was one of the first Bad Buddy fics I read, and despite being AU as well as magical with Hanahaki disease, it's so well written and true to the characters and world of PatPran that it doesn't feel out of place one bit. It's the angst from the end of ep. 4, over and over and over again, and it's the most beautiful thing ever.
