Challengers was so diabolical for presenting tashi as the cool one who never says i love you back to art at first, and then later revealing that she wants nothing more than to stay with the man who loved her the same even after she couldnt play tennis anymore to the point where she asks patrick to throw the game so that they can stay together 😭 its not that she refuses to say that she loves art and wouldnt love him the same when they no longer had tennis to share between them, its that ART needs that to be uncertain because he never grew out of being 18 and playing for her number and he's still playing that game 15 yrs later even after shes married him and had his child

#crazyyy that its actually about how art knows there r better ppl than him #and its his privilege as a white man w a degree from a fancy college that got him where he is #hes already won the game!!!!!! but he still has this left #honestly they keep talking abt how he still has one trophy left to win. its the open or whatever. it was always patrick #patrick dropping the racquet to catch art in the last scene sticks w me for that reason 😭#theyre finally growing up and letting go of tennis jghhjjk #patrick doing the thing w his serve drives me ceazy on second watch. because its so clear that he was scared #that art would give up after that #bleghhh throws up abt it. trying to be ok abt the failed career by knowing the part u had in someone elses successful one #also also the catharsis of patrick being there to catch arts fall....#the way he wasnt there to catch tashi during herss #art who is an extension of tashi at this point.....#agh. i love it. sorry #challengers
