'Ello 'Ello, and welcome to Day one in the beau'iful city of Prague, on this - Paté's European Escapade!
We started the day with a trip up to the castle on the tippy top of the hill overlooking the city.
We saw guards parading from the main gate for their first shift of the day (Lark said no, I couldn't try to tie their shoelaces together, even though I think it would be funny heh heh).
Then we toured the big cathedral, where I tried to start singin' a tune but got a few dirty looks, so I stopped. Not sure why they don't appreciate my dulcet tones...
We also saw the place were a bunch of guys were defenestrated - meaning they were chucked out a window. Should've tried growing wings heh. Although I hear some of the folks did survive - by falling into a pile of manure, a stinky salvation.
Finally we walked all the way down the big hill, across ol' mate Charlie's bridge, and to the old town square to see the astronomical clock's big midday show. I think Laudna would like the lil' skeleton that rings the bell.
We went to a cafe and an art gallery in the afternoon, so not many pictures from that, sorry.
Then it was home again, home again to the hotel for little ol' Paté. Tata til' tomorrow!

'Ello 'ello, and welcome back to Postcards from Paté! This is day 3 of my big European adventure, although unfortunately it's not the most interesting day ever. "Why's that?" I hear youse asking, well it's because we're on the road almost all day!
Early in the morning we left beau'iful Prague in the rear-view mirror and set off for Budapest. Unfortunately, only a couple of hours into our trip we got stopped by a crash a ways up ahead of us, and then we got detoured by some roadworks. Poo poo.
Luckily, the winery we had lunch at kept our food warm and ready for us, didn't feed it to no one else in the meantime.
Plus they sat us at this lovely long table in the cellar, a spooky yet cozy energy that felt rather familiar to lil' old me.
Then we were back on the road for a few more hours, had a bit of a rat-nap, and before we knew it we had finally made it to Budapest and our new floating home!
I obviously had to check out the cabin we're in, and I think it'll be most suitable.
I'm looking forward to exploring Budapest tomorrow! Tata til then

'Ello 'ello all youse internet peoples out there! This is Paté De Rolo the Third, reporting to youse from the planet know as "Earth". Now, I'm not entirely sure 'ow I ended all the way over 'ere, but what I do know is my current custodian, Lark, has decided to take lil ol' Pate along on her Grand Holiday to Europe (her mistake, heh).
This first day (two days? Honestly the time got a little wobbly for me heh heh) have been right proper boring. So much "Airports" and "Airplanes", doesn't this place have tree magic or them fancy circles?
Lucky for me, there have been a few interesting sights along the way, and Lark got some pictures to show all of youse!
We started off on the big island of Australia, and took a bloody long flight to Singapore (that D&D movie was pre'ty good though).
Then we got stuck in the airport for ages, but that was okay, 'cos I found some snacks I mean I made some new friends, as you can see in the picture below 'ere. (They did look pretty tasty though... Maybe on the way back 'ome heh heh heh)
Anyways, we also found some pretty indoor gardens with these here orchids. Although I did also have to take a leak at one point heh heh heh.
Then, after what felt like FOREVAH, we boarded the midnight flight to Frankfurt (is that a sausage or a place? Maybe the sausage is the place?)
After some more shenanigans we arrived in Frankfurt, and after some delays we finally arrived in our first stop: Prague! Then I settled down for a big ol' rest in the luxurious hotel bed, ready for a long day of sightseeing the next mornin'. Tata 'til then!

'Ello 'ello all you wonderful people! Welcome back to yet another entry in Paté's European Escapade! Today will be a double post day, as Lark wasn't feeling very well last night, so didn't get around to helping me post then. But that's okay, you'll just hear from us twice today!
So, from where I left you we were cruising down the Danube to a town called Regensburg. Although there was something pretty interesting along the way: Walhalla.
No, I didn't suddenly teleport to Athens, but yes, that does look like the Parthenon (and it's proper big too, the people on it looked like ants). One of the Ludwig guys who was king around here ages ago liked Ancient Greece so much he decided he needed a Parthenon closer to home. Pretty extravagant souvenir if you ask me heh heh.
Once we arrived in Regensburg, we went on a city tour and took in some sights, like the cathedral and this house with a fun painting on it. There was also the oldest sausage house in Europe (surprisingly, not a euphemism this time), but I didn't take a photo since I was a bit worried they'd put me in the mincer.
I also made some friends here down on the dock, although I wasn't entirely confident Mr Duck wasn't just gonna eat me when I looked the other way. Then again I probably am pretty delicious, so it's understandable heh heh heh.
Well, hopefully you hear from me again later on today. Tata til then!

'Ello 'ello one and all! Today's update is just a quick one, as Lark did more shopping than photo snapping heh heh oops.
Today we took a big ol' 90 minute bus trip from our ship in Austria to the Czech Republic to visit the charming lil' town of Český Krumlov.
As you can see from the pictures, there's a huge castle complex on the hill overlooking the town. The buildings of the castle are from all different eras, which makes it pretty interesting to look at compared to those big palaces that get a bit samey after a while.
And possibly the most interesting feature of all is that I managed to find someone similar looking to an important member of Whitestone: Lord Trinket.
That's right, the "Bear moat" here has a couple of real bears! Very literal naming conventions in this town, I guess.
We spent a fair few hours meandering the streets of the town, doin' some shopping and having a traditional czech lunch, but before we knew it, we were back on the bus to meet the ship in Passau in Germany.
That's all for today, but I'll see you tomorrow with more hijinx I'm sure heh heh. Tata til then!

'Ello 'ello all youse Critters! Thanks for showing up for the third entry in my overseas adventure journal. This is about the second day of my adventures around Prague.
Now, for some unknown reason, Lark decided it would be fun to get up before it was light out and head off to catch dawn on the Charles Bridge (not Charlie's bridge, or so Lark tells me).
Luckily she was right and it was a pretty magical sight to see, otherwise I would've been plotting my midnight revenge.
We even found the Old Town Square to be practically empty, so my little voice probably carried all the way across the square. I do hope I did wake someone up heh heh heh.
Then we took a trip to the countryside to a Chateau owned by one of the oldest noble Czech families.
Problem is, they had bloody birds there that would've likely taken me for a snack and torn me apart (not that I'd be very tasty). Now we can't have that, so I hid away for most of the rest of the day trying to recover from the heart attack of one of them big ones nearly seeing me.
Lark had some more adventures in the afternoon/evening without me, and then we're swiftly reaching the end of our time in Prague.
I hope youse all have a wonderful day wherever youse are, tata for now!
#critical role#Paté's European Escapade#postcards from Paté#pate de rolo#paté de rolo#10/10 would recommend a dawn walk to the Charles bridge#Also hi to the german girls who asked me to take their photo on a film camera i hope it comes out okay

'Ello 'ello, well if it isn't time again for another #postcardsfromPaté!
Today our ship took us to not one but two charming riverside towns: Dürnstein and Melk.
We started off in Dürnstein, where believe it or not we somehow ended up being there on the same day as a marathon, so for a very small town the place was pretty pumping. Lots of cars and bikes I had to dodge out of the way of, good thing I'm pretty slick heh.
It was a beau'iful lil' village, and they even had a whole house just dedicated to rats {Lark's note: Paté refuses to believe that Rathaus translates to anything besides basically a temple to him}.
I could've explored the cobbled lanes all day looking for pretty dames, but Melk was calling and I just had to reply.
In Melk we spent most of our time up at the Abbey on top of the hill overlooking the town and the river (the perfect position to cause chaos from heh heh heh).
Once again, no photos allowed inside (boo), but I did manage to snap a photo with local celebrity Maria Theresa, although she wasn't very chatty. Maybe she was just intimidated by my oozing charisma (or maybe it was just my ooze, never can tell with the ladies these days).
Anyways, we then had a quick walk around the Abbey Gardens to catch a look at the view, which was honestly better than the stuffy old Abbey itself. 123/10, would recommend, I don't know how numbers work heh.
Well that's about all my adventures from today, talk to you all tomorrow! Tata for now!

'Ello ello, and welcome aboard in Budapest! This is the fifth entry in my travel journal (#PostcardsfromPaté) and the first entry from a full day on the river cruise leg of my European Escapade.
Today started off with a city tour, taking in sights like the Parliment building (from a distance) and the very ornate St Stephen's Basilica.
It was a rather whirlwind tour, but I did manage to make time for a little snack on some local strudel (gotta be able to compare with the german strudel down the line, y'know?)
Then it was off on a train trip to Gödöllő onboard a steam train that included a special lunch and a carriage from the actual Orient Express (no murders on the train today though, bit of a shame heh heh).
We went there to see a royal palace that some famous Empress named Sisi loved. It was very fancy, but also more than a bit stuffy in the warm weather.
I did however, find a very attractive little mouse lady, although unfortunately she said she couldn't talk while she was on the clock. Suppose I'll have to find my hot European girlfriend somewhere else then...
Well, with that disappointment we headed back to the ship and set sail down the Danube towards our next destination: Vienna. Tata til then!

Hey all you #PostcardsfromPaté people, so the posting schedule is probably going to be a bit whack for a bit because: a) I caught the cold going around the ship (ripppp), and b) I'm posting on a delay (just like CR) so I'm actually leaving tomorrow on the long flight home, so time zone shenanigans and limited WiFi will also be happening. Thanks so much to everyone who has been enjoying the Paté posting, and I will continue with more soon!

'Ello 'ello everyone! Well yesterday was all travel, no pictures, so not much to post. But today we had many adventures around Vienna, so plenty to tell you about!
We started off in the morning with a city tour. We saw the outsides of museums, statues of past rulers and important peoples, and old palaces galore. It's a pretty spiffy lookin' place.
We ended up at St Stephen's Cathedral (yep, again. Apparently these Europeans really like the name Stephen). It was pretty impressive- or the bit you could see for free was at least, but they had this big old gate up. I could've squeeeeezed through, but Lark didn't want me getting lost from the tour group. Talk about a buzz kill, hey?
Then we went shopping down the main street and saw this really sparkly looking store, I think it was called Swarkofski (Lark here: it's Swarovski, Paté). Anyways, check out this:
I reckon it's a better floating city than Exadria ever had. Not that I know what they looked like, but this one was reeeeally shiny, so probably better.
Then in the afternoon we took a trip to Schönbrunn Palace, the big residence of those fancy Hapsburgs people.
You couldn't take photos inside, but I did manage to hitch a "ride" on one of the horses out the front heh heh.
The gardens were HUGE, they had a maze and a zoo and a big hill and everything. Can't imagine how long it must take to keep everything all tidy and alive.
That was the end of my day, but Lark went out to a fancy private concert for the people on her ship. From the little videos she showed me it looked proper good.
Anyways, it's been a very long day, so tata til tomorrow!
