The Abyss Team; Beats (especially, I made an archive blog for their AU Underbeats), and the others I only know a little about because I’ve been procrastinating reading their stuff but from what I do know so far I like them. (Mecha, Abyss, Kin, V, Ganz.)

Cross. I don’t think I’ve seen all the canon Xtale stuff yet, but I’ve watched Underverse, the Xtale animation movie thing, and read a few of the comics. He’s silly and i really love the humans (frisk and Chara) especially. Already apart of the chromatic crew but might as well mention him.

Ink. Goober. I love their lore and their personality.

The Apple Twins..I’m chill with Dream and Passive Nightmare, but im not really sure how I feel about the corrupted Nightmare.

I don’t really care for Dadmare or Fanonmare, I find them overdone and boring, and yall already know how I feel about most fandom portrayals of killer and nightmare’s relationship and the killermare ship.

Zero complexity or nuance at all, or those people who think one sided killermare or “mutually toxic” killermare is somehow complex in any way.

I guess you can say I like signanothername’s version of Nightmare (and his relationship with killer and Dream and ccino and even color) a bit more than the canon.

I guess it’d be easier to say which Sanses im familiar with but am not yet strongly attached to or invested in and which Sanses I hate rather than ones I like. Only Sans I’ve come close to hating is Nightmare for various reasons.

Most others Sanses im “okay” on. People like Fresh (read his doc should do it again), Ccino (also read his doc), Geno (haven’t finished reading Aftertale yet), Reaper (finished Reapertale just need to give a re-read and refresh my memory sometimes), Error (haven’t fully read his canon), Paper Crane (haven’t finished), Horror and Dust (read the Horrortale comics and went through a bit of the doc for Dust/the official acc. Need to do it again.)

Also Swap and Sci Sans.

Can i please have a moodboard for a Nightmare kin (ghost passive and corrupted) with themes of space and comfort and - this might sound weird, but, like - bandaids? They just make me feel better about the injuries I had all the time. Expanding on this post's queer headcanons for fun

UT Sans (my ver) - He's lightly trans coded because I think it's fun to add pink to the color pallet, which makes it white/blue/pink. He doesn't really define his sexuality because in the Underground, most monsters can't even be put into gender binary haha. Makes most terms humans use to describe sexuality useless. He's aro/ace though, except for the VERY FRUSTRATING TIMES he's not :P

'Fell Sans - Similarly blasé. Because of the "kill or be killed" attitude people have in this AU, he's very resistant to the idea of love, but is secretly a helpless romantic.

Swap Sans - Aro/Ace in the sense that he's not interested in anybody, but he'd be open to dating anyways just for fun!

Error Sans - He's not asexual but he's very sex repulsed, and that overrules any attraction he might have to others.

Ink - She's aro/ace as she is LITERALLY unable to feel attracted to people naturally. Like, the most strict definition of aromantic and asexual you can think of. THAT BEING SAID, she loves sex and romance very much XD She uses any pronouns but I default to she/her because it messes with people lol

Cross Sans - Jakei said he's bisexual and I respect her

Dream - Aro/Ace. They have never felt attracted to other people, but have magical empathy powers through the golden apple. They can feel other people's attraction to each other, but doesn't feel it internally.

To preface: I am aro/ace nonbinary and Dream is my "self insert". I kin them. I ship them with Cross because Cross had such strong feelings of love towards them that they started to mirror it back, and it's really cute :3

They're they/them because they just don't... connect to masculinity or femininity at all. They're Dream! And that's very cool.

Nighty (Passive Nightmare) - He's the opposite of Dream when it comes to romance. He gets way too many crushes and is so annoyed about it. Me and @wyrm-in-the-apple wrote an entire fic series about him if you're interested!

I know i said I wouldn’t talk about it but I REALLY need to rant about the corruption so here have this.

I know it’s not that close to canon, but it’s how my canon went.

⚠️MAJOR BODY HORROR TW!!⚠️

It spoke to me.

The black apple, I mean.

It was speaking to me.

A week or two prior, the villagers went farther than I thought they would. They broke my eyesocket. I didn’t think they’d actually cause lasting damage. But they did. Because no matter how bad my life got, it could always get worse.

I was reading under the tree. Trying to regain my depth perception.

But I couldn’t focus.

Because I heard him.

“They hurt you,” he said. I looked up, then to the left and the right. I couldn’t locate the source. “They hurt you because they think you’re weak.” I thought someone might be playing a prank on me at first. But no, something about the voice was different. Not to mention, it was the same one I’d been hearing since they’d started getting physical with their torment. I wondered, was I going crazy?

“Prove them wrong,” it said.

I hugged my knees to my chest. Why am I talking to it? “They hate me…” I said again. How many times have I said that to this thing? “They think I’m a monster…”

“It doesn’t have to be like this~” it replied, almost tauntingly. I finally located the source of the voice. “Just give in, and you can be so powerful~. No one will ever hurt you again.”

The hypnotic pull of the black apples had been getting stronger over time. No one else noticed. But I did. I told no one, because they’d never believe me.

I barely noticed myself standing up and reaching out to touch the thing. I caught myself right before I did.

“No,” I said firmly, sitting back down. “I’m not gonna do that. I don’t know what you are, but you have to leave me alone.”

And that was the end of it.

For a little under a week.

I had been shoved into the creek. I assured Dream that I had just tripped because of my poor depth perception (I didn’t tell him how I got the eye injury, and he didn’t ask), but it was obviously a lie.

I was shivering under a blanket. My brother was out getting warm food for us both. I was alone, and it was nearly twilight. I guess the villagers decided that they had better things to do than bully me again today.

I looked up at the golden apple.

Why don’t they like me like him? I asked myself. I did nothing to deserve this.

I could be like him. After all, we were twins, right? I could be just as kind and positive. I’ve just gotta prove it.

And I had a way to prove it.

The golden apple, right there. I could take care of it like him, and they’d all see that I’m just as good as my brother!

I reached out to touch it, and plucked it gently from the tree.

But it started to change.

The second it was in my hand, it started turning black.

And they were noticing.

Angry shouts surrounded me, about how I tampered with the tree, how I was killing it, how I stole Dream’s apple. And although the sky was darkening, torches were starting to burn as bright as the sun, illuminating pitchforks and stones.

They wanted to kill me.

I was terrified and cornered, with the tree practically dying behind me. The other apples turned black - except for one. I was too scared to notice it, but one escaped. The villagers didn’t care, though, and they readied themselves to kill me, a ten year old, for making a mistake.

“Give in~” the voice taunted from the blackened apple. “Eat it~. Defend yourself.”

I had no other choice, so I did as it said.

The flavor was impossible to describe. It was… amazing. Sweet, but not overpowering. The texture was weird, but not bad. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg, because I also felt the magic. The power flowing through me. It was addictive, driving me to want more and more.

I could no longer hear their shouting. I could feel pain beginning to blossom in my broken right eyesocket, but I didn’t care, I needed more. So I kept taking them. It only took five apples to start the pain.

I screamed as the stuff started to overwhelm me. Too much power for my tiny skeleton body, and all of it was pouring from the shattered right side of my skull. I still couldn’t stop. Like I was possessed. I ate even more, and the villagers were terrified. Some approached to try and kill me while they still could, while others backed away in fear.

No one got far.

More apples were consumed, and four tentacles ripped out of my back, breaking a few of my ribs in the process. I couldn’t control them, but I could feel them. They stabbed and strangled, all while I was being corrupted.

It took over my body. Shattered my limbs only to replace them. It laughed as I was ripped away from my dying form, and he took control. But I was still there! I just… I couldn’t feel my physical body. Was I a ghost? Was I in this thing’s head? Back then, I had no idea.

Dream took the last apple. I must’ve blacked out from the pain or the trauma or something, cause that’s all I remember. Next I woke up, I was a ghost, floating by the side of my corrupted body, possessed by a demon.

I got acquainted with my new circumstances. I interacted with the thing. It took my name, too, but… I didn’t mind. I’ve never been fond of ‘Nightmare.’ And as he grew caring of me, he started calling me his little brother.

He started calling me ‘Nova.’

Nightmare sans ‘kin here (and Chara but that’s besides the point)(we’re more connected to passive, but still connected to corrupted in our own weird ways). Anyway, I really miss my original AU. I miss Dream, from before he was overworked and sleep deprived. I remember us singing “Rises the Moon” to each other when we were upset or scared or couldn’t sleep. Brother, I’m really sorry for what happened. I’m sorry for all I did, and for not telling you about the bullying. It was never your fault. Remember to get some sleep, please. You were the light of my life, and you deserve the world.
