Fearless Stewards
The thought of God’s approaching fills many people with fearful thoughts. But the way Jesus arrived in Jerusalem on Palm Sunday should demonstrate for us that instead of fear, we can be both fearless and rejoicing at His coming.

Some people have told me, “I can’t go to church—the roof will fall in on…

Not me having to google a Motel 6 and then going ahh yeah the one with the red number (and wondering in what movie/show have I seen one) 🫠
As a teenager from the 00’s I can attest about the going out to fool around with one’s 3 years older significant other, that’s an universal thing no matter the country we’re from.
I’m my case it was always that one friend you know is alone at their home most of the time so we all went there
Yeah we were all delinquents 🥴 that's why I think it's so funny sometimes hearing zoomers talk about some stuff because like, I know every generation of kids does weird shit their parents would kill them over but also being scandalized by a teenager dating,,, an older teenager is wild to me because we were all doing that when I was young. I literally saw a tweet of some kid I assume replying to someone who was talking about being 15 and dating a 17yo and they were like omg you were groomed, and I just... I just had to stare blankly at a wall for an hour for my brain to reboot

So there will be a new Passion of the Christ movie. Let me save you some time. It is the latter part of The book The Dolorous passion of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus, after his brutal death, is sent to the underworld free the saints. The ones in Purgatory and Limbo while Demon Hunting with Angels.
He presents his body to God and gains a powerful staff.
He fights a Dragon with a Human Head.
It should be called Jesus Christ Demon Hunter

Edit: I fucking. Said "us" in the notes. I am not even Catholic anymore
I just grew up so immersed in the culture and theology (3rd generation Sicilian-American) that even after 6 years as a Gnostic I still cannot stop using the first person plural
Roman Catholicism is the Hotel California of religions
Being raised by areligious jews with 0 exposure to christianity outside pop culture is so fun. One time I asked my ex-catholic friend why a picture of jesus had a bristle crown and she looked at me like I was insane. One time I heard someone mention the "lance of longinus" and responded, word for word, "Like from Evangelion?" One time during a history lesson my professor described an important monk and scholar as "Dominican" and I spent the rest of class super confused and hung up on it because I was very sure that the Dominican Republic didn't meaningfully exist as an entity back then, maybe she meant he was a native Taino or something but that's a weird way to say that and I'm pretty sure this was pre- European contact? Really fucks people up when they realize I genuinely have no idea.

After years of development, it appears Oscar-winning filmmaker Mel Gibson is gearing up for the production of The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection, the highly anticipated sequel to his groundbreaking 2004 film, The Passion of the Christ about the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jim Caviezel (Person of Interest) has confirmed his return as Jesus in the sequel, with filming expected to begin as early as next year.
According to the Italian news agency Italpress, Gibson is currently in Malta with a production team, scouting potential filming locations for Resurrection. The visit is part of a five-day trip that will involve meetings with government officials on the Mediterranean island. The sequel is expected to begin production in early 2025, following Gibson's promotional tour for his upcoming action thriller Flight Risk, which is set to premiere in January.
The film’s script has undergone extensive revisions over the years, with Gibson and co-writer Randall Wallace—who earned an Oscar nomination for Braveheart—reportedly penning at least six drafts. Wallace confirmed in April that the screenplay had finally been completed. Details about the direction of the sequel remain under wraps, but it has been hinted that the film will take on a more spiritual and metaphysical approach compared to the original.
What Will 'The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection' Be About?

In a 2022 interview, Gibson provided insight into the ambitious nature of Resurrection, stating:
"It’s not a linear narrative... you have to juxtapose the central event that I’m trying to tell with everything else around it in the future, in the past, and in other realms, and that’s kind of getting a little sci-fi out there. It’s a big story. It’s a difficult concept, and it has taken me a long time to focus and find a way to tell that story in a way that really delivers."
Gibson went as far as to describe the project as an "acid trip," fueling online speculation that the sequel will have a supernatural focus. The original film expertly blended otherworldly elements with the harrowing portrayal of the crucifixion, drawing heavily from Catholic imagery and traditions. ScreenRant speculated that the new film could explore the "Harrowing of Hell," a Catholic tradition regarding Christ's descent into Hell to redeem souls during the days following his crucifixion.
