KM Gandha Nusantara, A Feeder Ship
KM Gandha Nusantara 18, a feeder ship, tied up to one of the docks at the Port of Manado, North Wenang Sub-district, Wenang District, Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. This ship is owned by PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Pelni), the national cargo and passenger shipping company of the Republic of Indonesia.

For now this ship operates on Saturdays and Sundays and it's free, yeah, especially to the Bunaken National Park, a marine park, in Bunaken Island, a little further north from Manado City. I've never been on a boat before haha and I took these photos because I like public transportation.

Before the wreck of the Titanic was found on September 1, 1985, it was widely accepted the ship sank in one piece. When Robert Ballard started his search for the wreck in 1985, artist Ken Marschall painted this painting to submit to the National Geographic.
"Proposal painting of a sunken Titanic submitted to National Geographic in May 1985 in hopes that if the wreck were found that summer they might hire me to illustrate for the magazine. I was not."

Later, Ken drew several pieces of artwork of liner that was used in several publications.

Disneyland's keel boat Gullywhumper, 1964.
The Gullywhumper faithfully plied the Rivers of America around Tom Sawyer's Island for 42 years until one evening in May 1997, when the boat began to rock side to side. It capsized, dumping a full boatload of passengers into the river, leaving several with minor injuries. The boat was removed for inspection and neither it nor its companion craft the Bertha Mae returned for operation.
Instead, the Gullywhumper returned to Rivers of America as a prop and was moored on Tom Sawyer Island where passengers on the Davy Crockett Canoes, the Sailing Ship Columbia, and the Mark Twain Riverboat could see it while passing. Eventually, hull damage caused the boat to flood and sink, and it was finally removed from Disneyland in April 2009.

"By August 20, 1911, the foremast was fitted onboard RMS Titanic and the mainmast was in place shortly thereafter. The tops of the masts stood approximately 205 ft above the maximum load line."
