Petite crise de nostalgie en voyant les bidons d'Arizona, je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de prendre une petite canette 😇

Nous n'avons pas encore réservé notre logement du soir mais nous allons sans doute nous arrêter dans un motel sur le chemin de notre prochaine destination. Vivons cette expérience américaine à fond 🏨

Toujours pas dépaysés, nous avons croisé les villes de Paris et Strasburg 🥖

Update : après 200km de route, merci Antoine, qui doit en avoir marre de m'entendre chanter dès que Taylor Swift passe à la radio - soit à peu près tous les quarts d'heure, nous voilà arrivés dans notre petit motel.

The Willard-Dupont family matriarch, Vanessa (Ms Willard) was at the forefront of the Enekjaer teacher’s strike and had persuaded fellow teachers Ingrid (Mrs Ferrell) and Parwais (Mr Ahmad) to join her. 

Parwais was more there out of fear than anything else as he found Vanessa to be quite terrifying; then again, he found many things to be terrifying, including his class.

Ingrid was simply grateful that it was a reasonably warm February, although she wasn’t sure how much of that heat was coming from Vanessa and how much was coming from the sky.

Sur cette belle victoire, nous reprenons la route pour rejoindre le point culminant de la Blue Ridge Parkway ⛰️

Puis retour dans la voiture jusqu'à notre avant-dernière étape de la journée (avec un petit dodo pour changer) : une petite rando à Waterrock Knob.

La vue était dingue !

Dernier spot de la journée, un point de vue trouvé le long de la route (il y en a vraiment partout mais celui-ci était incroyable) pour admirer notre dernier coucher de soleil sur la Blue Ridge Parway, et quel spectacle... 🥹

Et comme ça manquait à Antoine, le resto du soir : McDo 😛

Petite galère du soir : nous avons réservé un motel en ligne sauf qu'en arrivant il n'y avait personne pour nous accueillir... l'accueil était fermée. Nous en avons trouvé un deuxième sans soucis et espérons juste ne pas être débités du premier 😅

World's Largest White Castle to Open Near Disney World Soon

In a press release Monday, White Castle announced that it would be opening one of the company's largest restaurants in Orlando, its first restaurant in Florida. 

Construction on the restaurant is expected to begin in April of 2020, and should be complete by late 2020 or early 2021, the press release said.

At 4,500 square feet, it will be located in The Village at O-Town West on Daryl Carter Parway off Interstate 4. The company says White Castle has not had a restaurant in Florida in more than 50 years.

“Florida Cravers have long been asking for us to open a castle there,” said Lisa Ingram, president and CEO of White Castle and a fourth-generation family member. “We believe now is the right time for us enter the Sunshine State, and Orlando is an ideal location to launch our business there.” 

White Castle first made the announcement to the 9,300 followers of the Facebook page Bring White Castle to Florida. 

The family-owned business is the country's first fast-food hamburger chain, and has been in operation for almost 100 years.

The Mountains

This weeked was a very relaxing weekend. The weather was so warm, and it was just so beautiful. On Sunday I went to the parway and hiked with my church. The weather was perfect and it was so fun. I think the mountains around us are absolutely stunning, and I just can’t get over them. Especially when the sun is setting on the mountain ranges. That is one the most beautiful sights I have ever seen.
