Can the two of them survive the season long enough to find their happily ever after, or will the pressures of societal expectations and the threat of ruin tear them apart before they've begun?

Peter turned to him as they approached the banister, darting a glance behind him to the open doors to check that they were indeed out of earshot of anyone.

“If you’ve brought me out here to seduce me, I must confess you will need no effort towards success. I am already putty in your hands,” the Duke said, leaning an elbow on the banister.

Peter wasn’t used to the closeness, nor to the attention of an alpha he wasn’t entirely disinterested in. He cleared his throat to try to distract himself. “You certainly know how to give a compliment, Your Grace.”

“Wade, please don’t call me by titles. It only reminds of how few branches there are between me and the king on the family tree. I would like to hear my name from your perfect lips.”

Peter ducked his head slightly, glancing down before looking back up into Wade’s eyes. “If you insist, Wade. Please call me Peter.” He shifted closer, feeling the warmth of Wade’s body all along his own. He momentarily forgot what he’d been meaning to say, too caught in the very blue of Wade’s eyes.

“Am I picking up what I’m meant to be? Because there are at least a dozen eyes on us right now, but I’m finding it very challenging not to pull you close and ruin your reputation, if you know what I mean.” He wiggled his pale brows up and down, making Peter giggle into his hand. He’d never met such an openly flirtatious alpha before. It was turning Peter’s head around and making it difficult to focus on the point.

“I have a proposition for you,” he said, leaning even closer.

“Is it marriage? Because the answer is yes.”

Geraskier Big Bang project reveal

My darlings, I am beyond excited to finally tell you that this year I am participating in the @geraskierbigbang along with the incredible @Gensyz as my artist! 

It’s been so hard to keep this project a secret for about three months now and even though there’s still six weeks until the posting will start, I am now able to share little sneakpeaks with you, and I cannot wait to start posting the chapters. 

First of all I should probably reveal the name of my work, whish is the drug, the dark, the light, the flame, and yes, that’s another line from one of Hozier’s songs because I’ve been unable to listen to any other artist for the past five months. 

I am completely immersed in the atmosphere that I’ve created for this work and though it’s not something I’ve ever really written before, it already has my heart. The photo below may or may not have something to do with it.

So, my darlings, what do you want to know first?

But the shock of his alpha’s appearance is nothing compared to the slamming of the door in his face as Wade declares he has no intention of mating with anyone, especially not some gold digging omega tart.

“Excuse me,” the omega cut in, looking entirely done. “Mate arrangements are quite normal this far out into the country, and—”

“For normal people.” Wade leaned forward so the light from various windows caught his face better. “Do I look normal to you?”

“Painfully so, yes.”

Wade gawked like he’d been slapped with a fish while the beta coughed to cover up what sounded suspiciously like a laugh.

“You are also acting the part of a brutish, belligerent alpha, and if that is what your self-induced solitude has exacerbated in you, then I understand Om. Carlysle’s concerns for your well-being.”

Wade spluttered indignantly, tripping over his own words in the face of such sheer audacity.

“Since you seem to have lost the manners to do so, I shall take over introductions myself.” The omega waved to the placid beta. “This is Be. Phil Coulson, representative for the agency, and I am Om. Peter Parker, your expected omega mate. I am to assume that you are, in fact, Al. Wade Wilson who is in want of a mate.”

“I’m in want of nothing!” Wade exploded, pounding his fist on the chair arm. “An alpha doesn’t need to bond with the first omega ass to go strolling by!”

“Though certainly, you are in need of manners, ala,” Peter responded, and Wade swore the little shit’s nose could get no higher than it already was. “If a guest were to travel a week to see you, it is only courteous to treat them with some modicum of respect.”

“What about you?” Wade challenged. “You can’t possibly be happy in a scenario where I’m the one you’re stuck with.”

“I entered into this arrangement of my own free will. I chose who I wanted to be with out of the offers given. I’m not stuck with anyone.”

“Look at me!”

“I am.” Peter met Wade’s eyes, unflinching.
