#vent (sorry)#i glance at their sites and they are always following hundreds of sites within a very short period of time#girl i'm not reading your flat earth theories go the fuck away#part of critical thinking is accepting that “every possible opinion is valid uwu” is in fact not critical thinking but thought termination#they always have red flags like “misinformation is the new hate speech” that people completely gloss over when they nod along#girl you are telling on yourself#what are you saying that is registering as hate speech to other people? oh it's antisemitism in a new package? color me sur-fucking-prised#maybe sometime we will make a page devoted to actual critical thinking skills and not falling for misinfo#partially to help people who read the words “critical thinking�� and just . . . nod along by rote#partially to just nudge the bad actors out of my sphere
