I’ll have to go back and watch the recording of Saturday’s keynote from Terror Camp but Liam had such an interesting insight into Jopson’s character when he discussed how he really likes things to be nicely in order and considers the joppromotion to be kind of a reward for adhering to the rigid hierarchy present in the navy

#I mean I was also promoted at work fairly recently (mid-July) and it was wholly because I was the best person for the position #I certainly don’t have any ~*~*connections*~*~ that others have with being related to any execs or dating any execs’ children or w/e #and so it does make me incredibly surly when someone with those connections wants extra special treatment #or that person might not ask for that outright; others higher up than me will tell my boss & me that we need to do the application…#…for that person EXTRA special/quickly #Joppers 🤝 Hucc 🤝 me: valuing order #personal #it’s partially bc I’ve been spending so much time in period drama-land #but I’ve been having more thoughts about the implications of class/rigid (or unspoken) class stratification recently #idk if I’m in a different social class compared to my coworker peers per se #but I CERTAINLY have vastly different overall priorities and am so much more cultured and worldly than most of them #💁🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️#work adventures #rant in tags
