every time I see a post from an adult woman about "girlhood ♡" that's just a set of loose aesthetic signifiers designed to provoke a sense of nostalgia in a very specific group of other adult women I puke in my mouth a little
#part of this is that said aesthetic signifiers are often very white + gender-conforming#and i hate the universalization of the experience of white girlhood as 'girlhood' in general#the other part of this is that i cannot STAND to see adults dwell on childhood this much. like its so embarrassing.#txt
