every time I see TotK Ganon I mourn what we could've had
#absolutely terrible choice to make this Ganondorf a brand new guy instead of the same guy#part of his appeal in prev games was that he was the exact same individual that just refused to take the L#but like...making him a new guy COMPLETELY removes his impact#it retroactively made the fantastic opening of the game worse#when bro recognizes Link and Zelda in the intro you think he's recognizing them in a general sense#since he's done this song and dance before#he's fought their ancestors before#but no this is a new guy so he literally recognizes them via time travel shenanigans#he also has like...no motivation in this game#he's doing all this cuz we need a villain so let's make a him a moustache twirling one
