This article has no malicious intent behind it, however, its goal is to spread this article around to people who may be gullible enough to believe this article as such. The intent of the Onion is overall to be a comedic parody of news sites and click-bait articles.

The following article and the situation featured was an example of mal-information. The situation that occurred here was that the Twitch streamer Atrioc was using a deepfake porn website which was of a fellow streamer QTCinderella. Deepfake porn of popular social media creators and celebrities is an unfortunately popular form of mal-information.

The January 6th insurrection occurred as a result of disinformation. During the 2020 election cycle, he noticed that he was losing the popular and state votes so he began to imply on social media (Twitter now X) and through news outlets that the election was rigged. His supporters began to spread "Stop the Count" online and through in-person protests as well. Trump did not stop and only enforced the disinformation until it built up to his supporters fully believing that Joe Biden was robbing Trump of the presidency.
