Hey, I hear there’s a universe out there where dinosaurs are the earth’s dominant specie and your brother, Thor, is a Parasaurolophus. Have you ever been there? What kind of dino was your multiversal counterpart?

A parasaurolophus! Ahahaha! That’s a pretty pathetic dinosaur for a hero! It’s so… friend-shaped.

I would have made him like an allosaurus, maybe… but I guess a big scary guy with lots of teeth isn’t very heroic.

…Parasaurolophus might be one of my favorite dinosaurs, actually.

Anyway, I’d love to say I’d be something cool like a raptor or a dimorphodon, but let’s face it, I’m for sure one of those little egg-stealing bastards.

Or a dilophosaurus. But not like a real one, like the cool Jurassic Park one that spits venom and dispenses karmic justice.

Alex let out a low, inhuman growl at Loki's threats. "That..." she started slowly. "That is why I call you ignorant. You don't know where you're standing or what you would be facing yet you think you can do whatever you want. Pompous because you won't listen when someone tries to tell you you're not safe. Threaten me again, and I will have no qualms in letting the carnivores rip you apart. Or even watching as they slice open your belly and pull your intestines out, eating you alive. And I know what that feels like. Trust me, you don't want to know. Only reason I'm alive is because she was drugged and couldn't do the job properly."

But as Thor spoke, hazel eyes looked at him and she arched an eyebrow. "I know your faces. I saw the reports six years ago about your fight in New York. You're superhumans. I get that. But you won't be able to last on strength alone. As for your ship, I'll have a boat here in two days. A large one. It should count for everyone you have on board." She bowed her head to the blond and narrowed her eyes at Loki.

"Threaten them again... and you won't like it," she said before giving a soft whistle. A parasaurolophus came and picked the god up in a hug of sorts, making Alex smile before she had the dinosaur drop him and head off. "Some will play like that... embarrass you. But others will play with spikes, horns, and teeth. I'll see you gentlemen when the boat arrives."

She stepped back and went back to the trees, walking through them with an expertise of a sprite. When she was far enough away, she began to run through the trees and made her way back to her cabin near the other side of the island.

After she made a call and had something to eat, she decided she would pay a visit to the people, but not in her human form. She elected to go as a dimorphodon. Flying through the air, she made her way to the area they landed and noticed all the dinosaurs that would have kept them safe had moved away. Now they were open to the predators. She was tempted to see how long they lasted before she should intervene.

“Ignorant and pompous,” Loki repeated with a wry smile. Though his emerald eyes were sharp and held not the least bit of mirth within them. At the shift in her pupils it became quite clear just why Heimdall had believed this place free of humans. 

The woman in front of them was clearly more than that. But whatever she was he had no qualms about showing her just what he was capable of. “I am neither of those things. I am simply aware of my powers which you are clearly not. Or perhaps you’d like me to show these creature friends of yours precisely what would happen to one of them if they went anywhere near my people.”

“We seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot,” Thor interjected, hoping to calm down the situation that was obviously brewing between them. “We mean no disrespect to your animal friends. I am sure that we will be able to figure out what is ailing our ship in a few days at most.”
