CONTINUED FROM HERE @smythewmu
"And now you're just being bias." The grumbling continues, but he's easily leaning into the touch, dropping his head heavily on Sebastian's shoulder, idly playing with the others fingers. He's so damn tired, and while his nap did help, everything feels as if it's moving through sand. Already making a plan to get a coffee as soon as possible so he doesn't crash after they get to where ever they're staying.
Humming under his breath, he lifts his head, brow raised. "Do I? Or is this your subtle way of mentioning what we'd be doing if this was more private?" Uses his free hand to touch the side of his nose. "Can't get anything past me, Mon Cher." A beat, and he's sighing, rolling his eyes in good humor.
"So, what would we be doing if this was your private jet?"

Making A Choice || Sebtony (Aug 30)
Tony closed the door behind him and leaned against it, a deep sigh escaping his lips as he looked up at the starry sky. There was a turmoil of feelings now clenching his chest, and he needed a breather to make heads and tails of what he was feeling. He went down the stairs that led from his apartment to the street, then he simply started walking, no precise direction needed at that moment yet. He just needed to walk.
There have been days since the tension between him and Cleo had finally started to boil up to the surface, to the point it was already affecting their work together. Then on that night, when she told him they needed to talk, there was no tiptoeing around what the matter was.
Even if they were in fact in an official relationship, they were always happy to keep things the way they were, and never talking about taking things a step forward. And in a way, neither one had made a big thing about talking about that.
But ever since Sebastian had came back to his life, he had been having his mind, and heart split in two parts, thinking of two places, with two people in mind. And as casual as that had felt at first, as hot as having to keep his time with Sebastian a secret, an affair of sorts, it was becoming obvious it wasn't enough, not for Tony, and much less for Sebastian. But there was always something that was holding him back: how would he tell Cleo all that had been happening?
Turns out, she knew more than he gave her credit for, or at least, she assumed enough to, when they sat down to talk, she wasn't even mild surprised with any of it.
"You have to make a decision. You can't keep doing this, to me or him."
So now, he was walking the streets of New York (when did it start raining?), thinking of what his life was now, thinking how everything had changed, more like shifted in its axes since he met Sebastian again. How everything they lived together all those years back always kept a place in his mind, in his heart, and it all came back even stronger now that they were together again. Sort of.
"Shit-"
Turning on his feet, he looked up to see where he had ended up and ran all the way back to The Playtone, running up the stairs and opening the door, drenched and dripping wet as he entered the apartment, and there he saw Cleo stading there, with a suitcase by her side.
"Cleo-"
"I know, sweetie. Go to him."

Jamie looked at the Dominant where he was standing against the doorframe with his arms crossed. He chewed at his bottom lip lightly as Sebastian spoke, the teasing tone caught by the submissive and the only reason he didn't duck his head like he might have otherwise. "Yes, Sir." He said softly, aware that Sebastian spoke the truth. If he didn't appreciate the company then he wouldn't have had Jamie over in the first place. He also wouldn't have given the offer if he hadn't meant it, but Jamie didn't want to overstay his welcome either. He watched as the man moved from the bathroom doorway and to the main door of the room, informing Jamie that he was going to be walking him back to his dorm, even if Jamie was fine with walking back. "Yes, Sir. I'll stay here." He told him, and he knew that he would do simply that.
He opened the water that he still had in his hand and took another sip of it, still thirsty but he didn't feel anywhere near as dehydrated as he had at first. He looked up again when the man reappeared, dressed in a hoodie now as he reappeared. He ducked his head momentarily as Sebastian called him out for still being on shaky legs-- aware that the man might not have been wrong even if Jamie felt better now that he'd had some water and time to calm down. "Yes, Sir." He said as he got to his feet obediently and walked over to where the Dominant was.
He followed beside the man as they left the penthouse and headed to the stairs and made their way back to Jamie's floor. They walked at a calm pace, which Jamie was fine with. He was walking just fine, but he could tell his legs were still a little shaky as Sebastian put it, or he was just still coming back down from the high intensity experience he'd just had. He expected the man to excuse himself as they reached Jamie's door and he opened it, but Sebastian reached a hand out on his shoulder and Jamie paused before he entered, turning to face the man when he spoke. He gave the Dominant a soft smile, appreciating the man's concern for him even though their scene was over-- not that he expected anything less from the man who had been nothing but considerate and understanding with Jamie's lack of experience. "Thank you, Sir and I will." He promised him. "I'm happy to hear that, Sir and I thank you again for all your patience with me. Sleep well, Sir." He said, watching as the Dominant turned to leave again before Jamie entered his dorm to start settling down for the night.
END SCENE
Sebastian crossed his arms and leaned against the doorframe, and gave him a curious look. "If I had thought you were intruding, I wouldn't have asked to come over in the first place. I don't enjoy having intruders" he said, with a teasing tone and a small wink, then pulled himself from the bathroom door and headed for the room's one. "I'm glad to hear that you don't, but I'm walking you there. Stay here" he said before disappearing out the door, and he went into his master bedroom and took the shirt he was wearing off, then grabbed one of his hoodies and put it on, before heading back to the playroom, where Jamie was. "You're still on shaky legs, Jamie, and it's three floors to go back to your room. Let's go."
They both left the penthouse and begun the walk down the stairs, slowly, while Sebastian kept aa watchful eye so the other wouldn't fall. Eventually, they made it to the other's room and when he opened the door the Dominant turned to him and put his hand on his shoulder. "Well, get a good rest, and don't forget to keep drinking plenty of fluids, understood?" He gave his shoulder a soft squeeze. "You did good. Sleep well, James." With that, he smiled at him and took the stairs again to go back to his penthouse.

Hi! Glee has a hold on me again so I’m looking for a Sam Evans or Sebastian Smythe to my Blaine Anderson.
*I’m not Kurt friendly*
I have a couple plot ideas so I’ll list them below before I get into my info! I’m also open to other concepts asides from these so let’s plot together and get equally involved.
- Guilty Pleasures Era where Blaine’s crush isn’t entirely unreciprocated. Sam isn’t certain of his sexuality but he feels something got Blaine. Instead of letting him down gently, he explains his confusion and suggest they start something of a Friends With Benefits situation. Sam is certain Blaine will go back to Kurt anyway, so it won’t really matter.
- Famous Blaine & Wedding Event Owner Of Some Sort Same. Blaine and Kurt both made it big in different ways and Klaine became something of a brand. Despite his many concerns about their relationship, Blaine proposes when Kurt insists it’s the next step. A big wedding is planned, which is when Blaine meets Sam. He owns the venue, he runs some sort of business, he’s involved in some way. Him and Blaine start getting closer and closer until it spirals into an affair.
- AU where Blaine doesn’t leave Dalton. As his relationship with Kurt sours, Blaine finds comfort in the friendship he has with Sebastian. This begins to escalate into more than a friendship.
- Strictly Come Dancing AU where Seb is a professional dancer and Blaine is his celebrity partner. The intense schedule means they quickly become very dependent on one another as they begin to fall in lust and then love.
As I said, I am open to anything and everything so please share your own ideas!
Me: I’m 21+. I’m experienced and literate and more than comfortable with multi-para through to novella style roleplays. I am angst friendly, smut friendly and don’t have any real limits so I am fine with covering dark themes. Glee covers a lot of darker topics but never really sinks its teeth in, which is what I’d like to do. I’m a regular replier looking for the same.
I love writing side characters and would adore someone who feels the same. I’m OOC friendly and enjoy sharing memes, playlists, headcanons, etcetera. I really want someone to vibe with and who is keen to explore different topics and put these boys into angsty situations.
I write on discord but like this advert and I will reach out to you! 💋
give a like and anon will get back to you

Long Term Plans || Self Para (Jan 21st)
(Mentions of Elliott Smythe and @switchingolliesmythe )
---
After a morning spent walking and shopping for necessary things around town, Sebastian and Elliott grabbed lunch, Italian, before heading back to the school. A shower and some fooling around included preceeded the time for a nap, and after an hour or so, he was quietly walking out of the room, leaving his boyfriend soundly asleep, so he could get into the kitchen to get something to drink.
It was then he could hear his phone buzzing. He had left it on top of the couch when they came back to the penthouse, so it was easy for him to hear it. But upon seeing the ID of who was calling on the screen, he wished he hadn't.
"Father. How unusual of you to call me. Has someone died?"
He could practically feel the older man's eyes rolling on the other side of the phone. "I did npt know one of your classes included stand up comedy. I can tell you are already failing, Bastien." He also rolled his eyes and drank a good sip of his juice before he spoke again. "What do you want?"
He heard a creak and a shuffle sound on the other side of the phone, and he could tell Alastair had stood up from his leather chair and was now pacing, which he always did when he was about to drop a bomb. "I wanted to hear from you how things are going. As you know, I have my own contacts to keep me informed, but there are things that maybe they do not know, or that they are not willing to tell me." Sebastian walked into his office and shut the door behind him. "Your interest in us moves me, father" he said, sounding as sarcastic as he intended to be. "Everything is going well. We had a small setback when Elliott had to go for months to take care of his father who was sick. When he returned, the Head stripped him off all his points, so he is back to the start of it all. Luckily, we did not get our claim disolved, so that is something."
He heard the 'hmph' sound on the other side. "I always told you that boy was not worth the trouble." Sebastian also huffed. "I am also grateful our claim is intact, thank you. On the other hand, I have one level, and some more before I get to graduate, and I'm glad for that. As for Oliver-" He rubbed his forehead. "It seems he has found someone he would like to get a claim going with, so three cheers for him not ending a slave, right?" Th cackle that came from the other man caught him off guard. "You are not fooling anyone, Bastien. I know you would not let that happen if it came to that-" The point is it is not coming to that. Bad news for you is, you will not be having your dream 'both my sons are Dominants' anymore, because he would be choosing submission, so I feel for you about that one." His answer didn't seem to settle well with the older man. "But is that for certain? Is it settled?" Sebastian shrugged, even if only himself could see that. "It seems that way, I would not know. I confronted him for not telling me anything, and he never got back to me, so... I suppose he wants to do his own thing himself? I do not know."
Alastair sighed deeply, or so could Sebastian hear, then he also heard the sound of him sitting on his chair again. "We would deal with that when the time comes. In the meantime, I am glad to hear you are closer to your graduation, because that mean you get to come back home." Sebastian, who was also pacing around the room, stopped on his tracks. "I'm sorry- what?" Alastair sighed again, although now you could tell it was from annoyance. "Once you graduate, you have to come home, because we need to start the paperwork with you here. You will take my place at the Embassy one day, and you graduating is the first step. Some legal procedures need to take place, and then you can also enroll in the University here to continue Law school."
Now it was Sebastian who sat on his chair. "I am going to attend university here, in the States, father. I will go to Paris, because the laws of our country command me so, but after that, and until my time really comes, my residence will stay here." Another sounding, more evil cackle came from the man. "It is funny, you thinking you actually have a say on this matter. Anyway, I wanted you to be aware of this. Do not say later I did not tell you. Au revoir, Bastien."
The click sound meant their phone call was over, and God, he was thankful for that. He pressed the number 3 for speed dial, and Ollie's name came on the screen, but as soon as it did he pressed the red button. He put the phone on his desk and sighed as he leaned back on his chair, his hands rubbing his face before going up his head, and then down the back of his neck. He took one more breath and stood up, then headed straight back into his room, and in his bed, where he put his arms around Elliott and sighed.
For the rest of the day he tried not to think about that phonecall.
He failed.

Rekindling Over Coffee (06/23)
There were many things Max liked about study at Columbia University, but of course, that didn’t happen per chance. He did an intense study and investigation about the place im question, when the matter of him actually going to college came on. No way was he going to go to a trashy campus just for the sake of it. He was Max Wolfe. He deserved nothing short than the best, and ultimately, any college would be lucky to have him anyway. And one of the main points in his list when it came to find the right place was how was their coffee shop like. There wasn’t an universe where he would have a shitty place serving him coffee early in the morning, at lunch, mid-afternoon, or at night, while pulling an all-nighter study marathon. Thank be the gods for the coffee shop being opened 24 hours, 7 days a week.
So, like any other regular day, he found himself tucked inside one of his favorite booth at the coffee shop, call it his “summer booth” just by the window, where the sunlight hit just at the right angle, low and in between the trees, so it wouldn’t shine directly on his face, enjoy a cone and his usual macchiato, while reading through one of the many books they have been asigned for summer reading. The place wasn’t that much crowded at that time of day, and that was also another thing he liked about the place.

CHARITY GALA || SEBTRICK
Patrick stood half a step behind his father, as the whole family, that was his parents, his twin sister, Ari, and his youngest sister Mencia were greeting the guests at the entrance of the Blanco’s summer palace on the outskirts of London, on that beautiful summer night, for the gala event Patrick and Sebastian had put together to make their salespitch to the biggest and most important investors they could think of, so their program to help the youth with low incomes in their familes to have a proper education.
That party was the second step on achieving what they had thought of doing, after being thrown together to work, for the sake of their countries public relations, the ultimate step being actually putting the program into motion. And it wasn’t easy to get what they were at that moment, especially with the amount of snark, sarcasm, eye rolling and heated debates Patrick and Sebastian while being together at the office. But they had made in one piece, at least until now, and that night they got to put to put their charms on full good use, to convince people to invest in their program.
For Patrick, that was an easy job to do. He knew he only had to flash a big smile, and put on his cute, almost angelical face to get his way, and he intended to do that well that night. And as he looked at the other side of the aisle, where the French royal family was also standing and greeting their guests, and his eyes met Sebastian’s for once second before they both looked away with annoyance, Patrick knew the other would undoubtedly do the same. He better.
Once all the guest were ring inside the ballroom where they were saluted by both the King and the Duke, Patrick held onto a flute of champagne and took a quick sip of it, the bubbly drink giving him the first of many liquor courage he would be needing for the night.

Daria took a sip of her drink and just kind of raised an eyebrow at the man's remark. She didn't really understand what would possess a person to attend a function based around a holiday when they weren't even a fan of the holiday to begin with. And maybe it was a bit of her channeling her inner Dionne, the character she'd chosen to dress as that night, but she couldn't help but scoff and roll her eyes at his reason for even turning up in the first place. "Huh, well aren't you just a barrel of fun, good luck with that whole finding someone, then."
Sebastian got to drinking his cocktail, getting about halfway through before someone addressed him. He glanced over to the woman that spoke to him and gave a bit of a snort, shaking his head at her. Nobody had abandoned him, and he sincerely wished the best for anyone that would do so because fuck knows Sebastian wasn't the type to let that go easily. He wasn't that tired and the night frankly just started for him, so he shook his head at all of the above. "Halloween isn't my favorite holiday. I'm mostly just here for the booze and maybe finding someone."

You Get What You Give
Tina emerged from her quick subway ride and walked down the street near Blaine’s Upper Westside apartment. She’d always loved the gorgeous old building. It was close to the store, the park and Café LaLo, hers and Blaine’s favorite coffee shop to haunt after a movie. For a long time it had been “Blaine and Kurt’s place,” but it had always seemed to belong a little more to Blaine. Tina wondered whether Blaine’s work would cause him to move eventually. She hoped not.
Knocking at the door with happy anticipation, she looked forward to hearing about the caroling she’d missed, and whatever Blaine had to show her.

CITY OF LIGHTS || ST. SMYTHE (12/24)
The two days between the one when Sebastian and Jesse arrived to Paris went by on a blink. On the first day, they worked through the jetlag staying in bed all day long, waking up only to have crazy hot sex on every furniture inside the penthouse, every window, every wall, every possible they could hang onto. There was also food somewhere in there, and the most amazing finish in front of the fireplace, both of them wrapped up in a blanket while being completely naked. On day two they dedicated themselves to visit all major landmarks around the city, their hands twined tight as they made their way around the city, and Sebastian would go on and on about this or that place from when he was living in Paris. He promised Jesse they would visit the Louvre the day after Christmas, and for the Eiffel Tower, even if they could see it from their balcony, it was there where they were headed right now, almost at ten minutes before midnight came. Ten minutes to Christmas.
“You’re not too cold, are you?” he asked Jesse as they made their way up in the lift to take them to the overlook level of the tower, and he put his arm around him to pull him close and gave him some warmth with his own body. The doors opened when they got up there and he took his hand and pulled him forward. “So? What do you think?” he asked Jesse, an endless stream of lights going as far as the eye can see, in every direction.

Have Yourself...(Part 1)
WHO: Seblaine, Blam, Huntjay, and the New York New Directions and Warblers
WHERE: The Upper West Side of Manhattan
WHAT: Sam, Catie, Blaine, Hunter, Jay, and various Ohio glee club alumni go Christmas caroling. Hunter grows somewhat uncomfortable, Jay and Blaine are even more so. Their last stop reunites Seblaine’s hearts. Part 1.
Jay had a small, content smile on his face as he made his way to Hunter and Catie’s corner of the American Museum of Natural History. He couldn’t remember ever having a more relaxed, happy Christmas season. Emblematic of this was the fact that, Hunter, who did not have close friendships, had agreed to go caroling. It was another one of the sweet surprises about this man who Jay loved so much.
Jay was looking forward to spending more time with Sam and Catie, too. His interactions with them had been in passing, but they both seemed great and Jay hope he could help broker a closer relationship between Hunter and both of them.
Also, Jay was looking forward to possibly seeing and even talking to Blaine Anderson. He would never betray his ex’s highly guarded privacy, but he felt in his gut that Sebastian was in love with Blaine all over again and might need some support to try again with him. Maybe Jay might glean a few encouraging nuggets about or from Blaine to bring back to Sebastian. His ex’s mood was very up and down lately, which was a shame, especially during the holidays.
When Jay came into Hunter’s office, he found it empty. His boyfriend’s coat was still there, so Hunter must be in the mens room. Jay walked the few steps to Catie’s office and found Sam and Catie with their coats on, ready to go.
“Hi,” he said cheerfully.
“Hey, Jay!” Sam said with his big friendly smile. They paused a little awkwardly before Sam said humorously, “Yeah, I think we’ve leveled up to a bro-hug. Bring it in!” He opened his arms and Jay smiled broadly and gave him a bear hug, patted him on the back.
“You’re not a big hugger,” Jay said with an easy smile for Catie. “We don’t have to hug.”
Catie looked amused. “Where’s Hunt?”
“Mens room, I’m guessing? His coat is still here.” Hunter had stepped out to use the restroom before Jay arrived and they joined Catie, Sam, and Blaine on an evening of caroling. He hadn't sang outloud with a group of people like this in a long time; he hadn't participated in any of the drunken karaoke the weekend of the Ivy opening celebrations. He wasn't expecting to walk out of his stall and to find Blaine already at the sink, washing his hands.
"Hello Blaine," Hunter said with a nod at his reflection in the mirror.
Blaine looked up, startled, but recognizing the voice immediately. "Oh, hello Hunter."
"Thanks for letting Jay and I crash your caroling with Sam and Catie. Jay is really excited, and I haven't really sung in forever," Hunter explained as he walked over and started washing his hands.
Blaine looked a little awkward. "Yeah, no, the more the merrier right?"
Hunter nodded, this time it was his turn to be a little awkward. "I appreciate it. Like I said, Jay is looking forward to it."
Blaine turned, grabbing some paper towel and drying his hands. "Sam says, well, I suppose it's Catie says, that you really like Jay."
Hunter ducked his head and rubbed at the back of his neck. "That's putting it mildly, but yeah. I do."
Blaine smiled genuinely at the show of emotion from Hunter. He could sort of see what Sam had said about Hunter being different. "Still, I'm sorry about you and Sebastian."
Hunter looked up at Blaine. "Thank you. I appreciate that. It was kind of a shock, to me, but it really was, or, is for the best. " He cleared his throat. "In that vein, I was hoping we could call a bit of a truce. For Catie. And for Sam. And for S--stuff. Catie seems to really like Sam, and I don't know that I've ever seen her so happy. I don't want to be part of something that puts strain on what's making her happy, you know?" Blaine looked at Hunter and nodded. "I agree. Sam was a little down for a bit, and it's nice to see him with his spark again. I think Catie is really good for him."
Hunter grinned. "That's just who Catie is. She is good for me, here, at work. She became my first friend here in the city outside of Sebastian, and his friends." He looked down. "I'm sorry about you and Kurt. But you seem to be doing okay, yeah?"
Blaine chuckled. "I am. The best that I've done after a break up with Kurt, so that is something." He nodded his head and smiled. "This is going to be fun, and good. We know that you and Sam, and I, can all sing and harmonize, so it'll be great."
Hunter laughed, a deep hearty chuckle. "You might be over estimating my skills at this point. But we should get back to them before they go off without us."
Blaine laughed too, and nodded his head, following Hunter to his and Catie's offices.
"Hey there, look who I found in the mens room," Hunter said as he entered, eyes lighting up as he saw Jay was already there. He walked over to his boyfriend and wrapped an arm around his shoulders and pressed a kiss to his temple. "Hey you," Hunter whispered to Jay. Jay's face softened at the sight of Hunter and his brows lifted at the sight of Blaine. He gave them both a sweet smile as Hunter crossed the room, saying to Blaine. "Hi Blaine! It's been awhile..." he said. He wasn't even sure Blaine remembered his name but he gave him a kind, knowing look. “i’m Jay, Sebastian’s friend? We met at your store.” His eyes conveyed that he wasn't denying what had happened between Sebastian and Blaine. He just wasn't going to get into it at the moment. He leaned into Hunter's hug and the kiss. "Hi, Baby," he whispered.
Sam had been bent over his his phone, checking off who else would be meeting them. "Santana, Britt, Tina, Cam, Nick, Jeff, and David," he said under his breath. Then he looked up, his smile wide. "Ok!" He clapped his hands. "Everyone else is meeting us at the hospital! Let's go!"
The group moved down the hall and down the stairs. Jay's arm was hooked in Hunter's but it wasn't long before Catie tugged at Hunter's other arm. She was asking Hunter a work-related question, so Jay let go of Hunter and dropped back behind them, which brought him in step to Blaine Anderson. Blaine smiled, recognizing Jay immediately and he looked over at Sam, wondering if Sam didn't recognize or remember him from that day in the store. "Hi!" he waved, not wanting to pull the new couple out of their quasi embrace. "It's nice to meet you and put a name to the face." Blaine couldn't help but smile softly at the two, immediately understanding right away what Sam, and Catie, had said about Jay and Hunter. He wondered if Kurt and Dave would be like that too. As Sam named off his list, Blaine visibly brightened. "Yay, David. --- Wait, Warbler David right, not my ex David? Because for a moment I was afraid it was going to be third, or eleventh wheeling it as it is."
Blaine fell behind, letting the two couples lead the way, but Catie soon was tugging on Hunter's arm and before he knew it, Jay had let go of Hunter and was falling in step with him. He swallowed his nerves and lowered his voice so they wouldn't be overheard. "I'm really sorry for stalking you on social media. I really should have known better."
Hunter grinned as Jay called him baby. It wasn't a name he would have expected to like but from Jay it worked. Because Hunter trusted Jay was going to take care of him, and for the first time, Hunter actually wanted that, and wasn't going to fight or push back on it. They walked arm and arm through the museum, like they did many a time, until Catie tugged on his other arm to ask him something about work. Hunter pouted slightly as Jay pulled away and then a few moments later, Hunter checked over his shoulder to see Jay walking in step with Blaine. Hunter shook his head with a smile.
Hunter looked at Sam. "Careful Evans, or you might loose your bestie. As Sebastian always says, everyone loves Jay." Jay nodded and smiled back at Blaine, relieved that they had started on the right foot.
“Yep, Warbler David, and Nick and Jeff, oh and my friend Susie (you remember, the P.E. teacher at my school)?” Sam called good-naturedly to Blaine from across the room. “You are definitely not the only el-lobo-solo.”
Catie came over and bumped Blaine's shoulder. "If he doesn't stop speaking Spanish I'll eleventh wheel with you," she said with a smirk.
Jay wasn’t sure that he’d heard Blaine correctly as they began walking together. “I’m sorry? Uh, I didn’t think…or know... You were.” He looked into Blaine's beautiful eyes and added reassuringly, "Whatever it was, it's okay. Sebastian's told me a little about the...complicated relationship you guys have had." He wished he could say so much more, but he stopped there.
Hunter interrupted them and Jay's face lit up with a sweet smile at his boyfriend's teasing.
Sam looked backwards and answered Hunter's teasing with a jovial tone. "Nah, Blam is bulletproof. And we just keep adding on. We were Blam, then we became Blamtina. So now we'll just become Blamjaytina!"
Jay leaned forward to give Hunter's arm a small squeeze before he turned his attention back to Blaine. "Sam's so great. He said you've known him since high school, and so have a lot of the people coming tonight? That's so great, I only keep in touch with a couple of people from high school. But Seb and I are good about keeping our college friends connected. " Blaine rolled his eyes playfully. "Nick and Jeff are like you and I, meaning they qualify as a couple if they don't have an s.o. around. And then Susie and David? I am still the odd man out," he countered playfully. "You're lucky I love Christmas so much." He grinned at Catie and winked. "Sounds like a plan to me."
Hunter laughed. "They are very, very close. And in that enviable easy way."
Blaine turned his attention back to Jay. "Oh, now I feel embarrassed. But that message I sent you, anyhow, I guess it doesn't matter." He chuckled softly. "Yeah, complicated." Emotions threatened to take over so Blaine looked away, blinking his eyes rapidly and taking a breath, hoping to keep them at bay.
Blaine was so grateful for Sam and how inclusive he was. "Might as well go big or go home and go Blamtiehuntjaycamtina." He watched Jay with Hunter and it made him smile. Hunter was definitely different from the boy he remembered. And different even, in a way then he had been the last few times recently that Blaine had crossed his path.
He shook himself from his thoughts as Jay spoke to him again. "Yes. We met when I left Dalton to go to McKinley to be with Kurt, my ex. And even though Sam was Kurt's friend first, and even lived with his family, he and I are really the friendship that stuck. Actually Tina was Kurt's friend first too. Opps. I never thought about how I took his friends away like that." Blaine raised his eyebrows at Jay. "So when someone (s) stole the New Directions National trophy, I went back to Dalton alone, to get it back. After charming me into a Blazer again, and a song, I left, without the trophy. Sam went back with me the second time, to steal it back. In our alter ego costumes I might add. Sam is definitely my ride or die." Blaine nodded. "Our high school group still remains incredibly close." He wondered if it was in part because of Finn. "We just keep adding people to it. One big happy, if somewhat dysfunctional, family. Welcome." He offered Jay a smile. "Anyone who doesn't really know Sebastian might be surprised that he is in part responsible for keeping a group of friends together." It went unspoken that it wasn't a surprise to Blaine.
Hunter's eyes glinted mischievously as he turned around. "Your alter ego costumes... I forgot what dorks you were," he teased. "It was embarrassing to be bested by someone in tights, a cape and a mask." He looked at Catie then. "I didn't know you had a thing for superheroes," Hunter teased her now.
Blaine laughed at Hunter's teasing before he turned to Jay when Hunter was focused on Catie and Sam again. "I never knew him well, but he is different with you." Once again memories struck Blaine and he was glad as he spotted the hospital and some of the others. When Blaine brought up direct messaging something clicked in Jay's memory and he vaguely remembered Blaine had messaged him - after the museum? Yes, he'd been uncomfortable about it, and had redirected Blaine to Sebastian. His blue eyes widened as he remembered. "Oh...wow, that feels like it was so long ago...I forgot...I'm sorry, I'm the one who should be embarrassed. It's just, so much has happened since then...please don't worry about it, I'm sorry if I made you feel awkward. I think that was after the Blue Diamond exhibit opening? Sebastian was upset with you then and I didn't want to make things worse. But I'm glad you two seem to be doing better. I'm not sure if Sam told you that I used to date Sebastian in college? So I know about the ups and downs dealing with him."
Sam sang back at Blaine, "Blam-tie-hunt-jay-cam-tina-expialidocious!"
Jay listened closely to the history Blaine related, giving a Blaine a small smile acknowledge that he was tracking. Clearly there was more to be said about Blaine's ex Kurt, as there usually was with all exes. He remembered Sebastian's account of the trophy steal-back, and smiled. "I heard about that," he said, with a smile. "I always rooted for you guys in that story." He wanted to add that he was also always sad for Sebastian in that story, but it felt like it would be a betrayal. Catie rolled her eyes at Hunter. "I only have eyes for the most epic superheroes..." she shouted so Sam could hear, "Sam Evans, the most nutjob superhero, ever!"
"YOUR nutjob, Babe!" Sam sang back.
Jay smiled a little bashfully, looking down at Blaine's comment, not accustomed to talking about Hunter with anyone yet. "He's wonderful with me. I'm lucky." Blaine nodded his head. It did feel like a long time ago, but it also felt like not so long ago too. "Yeah. Maybe-- there was a beach trip. There were some pictures of you, Hunter, Sebastian, maybe another guy, and a girl. I can't even remember why... I just... yeah." He chuckled a little at the idea of him and Sebastian being better. Honestly Blaine kind of wished they could go back to not even really knowing they were in the same city and not crossing paths over whatever was going on now. It was an all or nothing deal. "Well at least we're not screaming at each other in public or snipping at each other on any kind of media. I'm sure that's doing better, but it's a far cry from the friendship we once had."
Blaine paused, literally stopped walking when Jay mentioned dating Sebastian. It felt jarring for some reason, even though he was sure Sam had said something. Maybe it was the way Jay said it, maybe it was the ups and downs dealing with him. He shook himself out of his stupor and continued walking. "I ah, admittedly when I saw the two of you in the store with Matt and Annabelle, how are they by the way, I actually thought you and Sebastian might be a couple, and the kids were yours. Together," Blaine admitted. "But then... well, you were there," he said with a laugh as his cheeks flushed red. "Although Sebastian did flirt with me right in front of Kurt all the time. It infuriated Kurt."
Blaine was glad for Sam's comedic timing, laughing, and trying to shake memories of Sebastian. He looked from Jay to Hunter, and back again, realizing that he was standing with two of Sebastian's boyfriends. "Wow," he said with a shake of his head. "Looking at the two of you, Sebastian has a type. Not that it's a bad thing, or anything. Or surprising. He always had beautiful taste." Hunter had been listening slightly to the conversation going on behind him. Worried that too much was being said he tried to intervene. "Don't show him a picture of Marc," he joked with Jay. He slowed and fell into step with Jay and Blaine, his arm going over Jay's shoulders. "You're rooting for them? I can't believe my ears. Traitor," he teased. Hunter pressed a kiss to Jay's temple. "Don't listen to him Blaine. Truth is, I'm horrible, but he puts up with me and I'm learning. I'm the lucky one." As he watched Catie with Sam ahead of them, and pulled his arm around Jay more Hunter also thought about how Tina was engaged, and then Seb and Blaine both were coming out of relationships while the ones around them flourished. He wasn't a big believer in fate but sometimes things were too much of a coincidence. Jay was saddened a Blaine's words. Something in Jay's gut could tell from those words that Blaine really cared about Sebastian, maybe even as more than a friend. Actually, probably as more than a friend. Because anyone who knew Sebastian was a little in love with him, or at least had a crush on him, even if he annoyed or even tormented them.
And this was without even knowing that Sebastian was behind the love letters they'd been writing these last few months. Sebastian had let Jay read a few of the emails and they were remarkable. They were more than you usually got in person, and charming in a different way than even the most intimate conversation you might get live.
Jay looked sympathetically at Blaine. "Of course. I'm sorry."
When Blaine stopped Jay was surprised, and he stopped, too, wondering why they had halted. When Blaine continued Jay's brows raised with comprehension. He hadn't thought of that, that he and Seb and the kids looked like a little family when they came into the store.
His brow furrowed at Blaine's last comment, and he felt a badly for Blaine, who seemed increasingly awkward and uncomfortable. The right comparision would have been Blaine flirting with Sebastian in front of Jay, but Jay wasn't going to nitpick, he wished they would get off the subject all together.
Then it got worse, Blaine was kind of awkwardly objectifying Hunter and Jay, as if Sebastian dated them primarily for their looks.
Jay gave Blaine a sympathetic smile but was relieved when Hunter cut in. He smiled and shook his head slightly, trying to see the humor Hunter did. And Blaine. Blaine was trying to be funny and Jay wanted to get on board, so he did, with effort. It just hurt his heart to hear Blaine talk about Sebastian like that. He was so...wounded. And there was so little Jay could do. "Hah," Jay chuckled. "Yeah that would prove his point." He explained to Blaine with a smile, "Marc was another one of Sebastian's boyfriends in college. Has a sexy, square jawline just like Hunter's...so yeah, maybe a type..."
Jay leaned into Hunter's kiss but he chided him for perhaps the first time since they'd started dating. "Yes, I'm rooting for them to not fight like they were in the media anymore, so they can become friends again. Beyond that, it's not my business..." He goosed Hunter's waist. "Don't mind him," he said to Blaine in a friendly tone. "He likes to tease me."
At Hunter's sweet words, he pulled Hunter back to put his arm around his waist, so his boyfriend was on one side of him and Blaine was on the other. "You are the opposite of horrible," he whispered, looking up at Hunter lovingly. Blaine just shrugged his shoulders. It felt difficult for him to talk to Jay about Sebastian. Maybe it stemmed from their friendship. Maybe it was the knowledge they’d had a romantic relationship. Perhaps he was just a bit bitter about it.
Blaine hoped others would join their conversation; not because he didn’t want to talk to Jay but because this was one subject he didn’t want to talk about. Hearing about multiple romantic relationships, this whole side of Sebastian he’d never known, might never know, was a difficult pill to swallow. « Have you met a lot of the others coming tonight? » Blaine asked Jay.
Hunter chuckled. “ I meant you were rooting for Sam and Blaine in the Dalton trophy story. And not my ingenious plan to lure Blaine back,” he continued to tease. Hunter wanted to say he was rooting for Sebastian and Blaine to not be arguing but he thought better of it and kept his mouth closed. Sebastian deserved that much from him. "Ohhhhh," Jay said with comprehension. "That makes more sense." He felt embarrassed now, that he brought up Sebastian and Blaine's relationship. He turned to grimace at Hunter about his mistake.
After a beat while Hunter full into step with them, Jay glanced over at Blaine, who was quiet and throwing off an uncomfortable vibe. He felt some relief when Blaine spoke. Jay replied genially, "No, just Catie and Sam, and Santana and Brittany. Santana came out to Stanford to visit regularly, and Brittany came sometimes, too. I love them." He chuckled at his most vivid memories. "Santana was always trying to get me to get back together with Sebastian after we broke up, she was not subtle about that, at all. It drove Sebastian crazy, because he wanted the ask to come from him. I don't know what she was worried about, he didn't need any help asking, he did it on the regular!" Blaine nodded his head somewhat solemnly. "That sounds like Santana," he admitted, even though he was busy racking his brain for something, anything, to change the topic. "Brittany is a great dancer. She and Mike basically taught all of us in the New Directions what we needed to know, and carried us with their fancy choreography and effortless dancing. Mike dances at the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago. He was just in town visiting and I took him out dancing. Even though I should have known he was going to get hit on." Hunter's eyes narrowed and he pursed his lips slightly at the continual mention of Jay and Sebastian; the reminder of course that Sebastian had always wanted Jay back. It made him slightly uncomfortable, and fueled his mostly irrational fear of them getting back together. Instead he pulled Jay a little closer. Jay listened to Blaine, but was noticing that he looked uncomfortable again. He thought about what Blaine was going through, a break up and closing his grandmother's store. Sebastian had shared this with Jay over lunch that week, looking more anxious than Jay had seen him in a long time. Jay knew that Sebastian didn't normally share other people's business but he seemed to really need to get Jay's support and feed back. Blaine also had some kind of emotional connection to Sebastian's alter ego which was probably not always easy - Sebastian had stood him up, after all. He suddenly felt totally insensitive to bring up Sebastian up again. He needed to relax, when he was anxious he knew he often spoke too soon.
Taking comfort in Hunter's body pressed against his, he took a deep breath and replied, "Haha, that sounds like it was fun." He gave Blaine a small smile that was more relaxed. He let a short silence pass as they walked and he looked up at Hunter and noticed he was looking a bit far away, and somewhere not that pleasant. "Are you okay? he whispered. Blaine nodded, a sad sort of smile on his face. "It was a lot of fun. Something I needed I think. And Mike is great company." Hunter turned to look at Jay and nodded. "Yeah. I will be, at any rate," he whispered. "I'm glad we're doing this. It'll be fun. And Catie and Sam are great to hang out with." Jay was feeling the brave emotions on either side of him it was breaking his heart a little. He squeezed Hunter's waist and gave him an empathetic smile. "Ok. We'll talk more later," he said, before turning his attention to Blaine as they continued to walk. "I'm sorry," he said, his blue eyes earnest, "...if I said something wrong." He wished he could start over somehow. Blaine shook his head. "No, it's not you, it's me," he insisted. "I'm just all over the place when it comes to Sebastian and everything that's happened this fall. I should probably figure out where my head is before trying to have conversations about him," he said with a determined smile. It was easier of course, to talk to NY152 about Sebastian since he knew neither of them. He could be more objective that way. Perhaps Blaine was just used to talking to him about Sebastian and having it be objective, or talk with Tina and Sam, who generally took his side. "It's been nice though, to hear about him over the years. The ways he's changed and grown, and the ways he's stayed similar, familiar, to how I knew him." It didn't help him decide on his feelings though. It was still a confusing jumble and Blaine wondered if things would just always be that way for him when it came to Sebastian. It was something to bring up with his therapist. Caroling books began making the rounds, and Blaine smiled as he took one and handed the others to Jay. "What song are we starting with?"
Hunter pressed a kiss to Jay's forehead in reply to the talking more later comment. He listened to Blaine and had a strange amount of empathy for the other. Hunter thought about how Sebastian had been at Dalton, and the changes in the man he'd been with the last several years, and then also the differences to the guy he was in California, at Standford, with Rob, while dating Jay and Marc. He nodded his head in agreement that maybe Blaine wasn't in the right headspace to have conversations about Sebastian. And although it was manifesting differently from his own, Hunter thought he recognized some jealousy there and it made him feel sorry for Blaine, and very sorry for the situation Sebastian found himself in. Jay nodded his head and gave Blaine an understanding smile, though his head whirling a bit, thinking about how Blaine didn't even know the full story, that Sebastian was his anonymous online friend. "Right. I'm sorry. You seem okay with him online, but of course not everything is what it seems online. You read what you want to read, sometimes. I won't talk about him anymore, I'm so sorry." Then he bit his lip and took a deep breath, trying not to be awkward.
Jay gladly took the caroling books, keeping one and handing the rest to Hunter with a slightly apprehensive look, seeking a little silent support from his boyfriend about Blaine. "Mmmm, I don't have a strong opinion. I'm guessing a crowd like this needs guidance. Why don't you lead us, so Sam doesn't make us start with 'Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer?" Jay said, feeling better already with just this funny thought. Blaine smiled and gave Jay a nod of thanks. It wasn’t worth saying being okay online was in part a show, for all their mutual friends so they didn’t end up feeling like they were picking sides.
Hunter accepted the books from Jay, keeping one and passing the rest to David, who had come over with Jeff and Nick to say hello. Hunter could tell Jay wanted him to do or say something, but he couldn’t think of anything that would make things better.
Blaine shook his head. “No this was Sam’s idea, he’s leading, even if it’s to start with that,” he said with a chuckle. “I’m just here to get some lacking Christmas spirit,” he said as Sam approached. Blaine took the opportunity to step over to the other former Warblers, greeting them with hugs. Jay felt better after ending things with Blaine like that, and took one arm and wrapped it around Hunter's waist. "Tell me next time to mind my own business, so I don't put my foot it in again like that," he whispered as Santana and Brittany came over to say hello.
Caroling at the Manhattan General began well, with Sam playing his guitar and Santana guiding the group's harmonies. They ended with "Jingle Bell Rock." Sam and Brittany danced along and the whole group was laughing at their antics as they left the hospital.
Inspired by their performance, Sam led them singing through various public areas, in front of festive stores and delighting children walking down the street. Finally, Jay looked up and realized where they had gotten to. He said to Hunter, "Oh, let's stop and sing for Mattie!" He called out to Sam, "Hey Sam, can we stop here? The boy I manny for is here. I can call them and tell them to come to the window."
"Sure!" Sam said amiably. Jay texted Bill Smythe and Sam asked Blaine, "What should we sing? Maybe a few lines from all of our favorites tonight? We could all take turns with a mini-solo? Santana could start, she always starts things off strong. Or maybe just a solo, do you want to solo?" He adjusted the strap on his guitar. Hunter gave Jay a reassuring squeeze. “We know too much,” he said simply. He smiled for Brittany and Santana but he was quiet. Even for him.
The caroling was fun though and Hunter enjoyed listening to Jay sing and playing proud boyfriend. Although Sebastian often raved about his voice, Hunter still stayed in the background, providing solid harmonies instead of taking any leads. His mood had picked up by the time they arrived at Bill Smythe’s but the man always had a way of putting Hunter a little on edge. However, Mattie helped make it better-- now that he was mostly past the sticky, germy phase Hunter didn't enjoy.
"He'll love it," Hunter said to Jay. "Maybe we should sing him something fun? Rudolph, Frosty, or Up on the Rooftop?"
Blaine's mood had also improved during the caroling, as singing often did for him. Time with his Warbler friends had also helped. When Sam came over, Blaine put an arm around his shoulders and leaned into his best friend's side. "Whatever you think. This is your show. Mattie's young though, so definitely at least a fun song for him. And since it was Jay's idea, let him take a lead." Jay noticed Hunter was quieter than usual that night, and in between songs he thought about when Hunter had looked a bit bothered earlier that night. It was while he and Blaine had been talking and he'd made Blaine uncomfortable. He put his head against Hunter's shoulder and tightened his grip on his arm, thinking of how his boyfriend had politely declined solos that Sam was handing out. As they got closer to the Smythe home he said simply, "I love you. I haven't forgotten that you were not so okay earlier. We'll have some hot chocolate later and talk it through." He looked ahead at the Smythe mansion and it occurred to him that Hunter had never actually been there with Jay before. Then he remembered Hunter's relationship with Bill and it made sense. He lifted his head to look in Hunter's beautiful eyes. "I'm sorry, I didn't think about you and Bill...how thoughtless of me..."Sam was nodding at Blaine and saying to the group, "Let's start with Rudolph!" Then he said to Blaine, "You up for Christmas Dance, then? And maybe wrap up with Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas?" [to be continued via reblogging with gifs]

"Well, in that case - you should know Blaine and I have crossed that official step in adopting the label." Kurt proudly states, making to puff his chest, tilting his chin up in a haughty manner. But he's smirking, leaning himself Sebastian's way so they were practically touching noses without fully making physical contact. "I don't think you're scared to shout from rooftops, although I would think that shouting is mostly focusing on you wasting a fuck on a meaningless guy when you could just be enjoying Blaine's and my company instead."
Pointedly he drops his gaze to his play partners mouth, lingering, then pulls back to sit up straighter, adjusting the candy in his mouth once more. He could feel it shrinking from the original size, not taking as much space in his mouth, even as it scalds his sensitive inner cheeks with the heat. "You know Blaine and I discussed you being involved with this too. If that is at all something you'd actually be open to. You know, not tying you down by any means, because I'm sure we both are fully aware you have your reputation to uphold."
"That's not to say I want to speak for Blaine, as he deserves the right to speak for himself. But, I'm just saying; this is a conversation that needs to happen. Not tonight, no, but soon enough. I want all three of us to stay as balanced on the same page as possible to avoid being eaten alive by a green monster."
After a moment of adjusting the candy in his mouth again, he shifts his body to better face Sebastian. "Now don't think you're skipping a turn, Smythe. Go."
Sebastian apparently didn't have the same concerns as Kurt when it came to that personal space, in front of their peers. Even if he did draw back a few moments later. His smirk not fading as the other stumbled over those words- amused as ever to see Kurt a little more flustered. "Oh? "How I am" Hm? Almost curious what you mean by that. And what exactly are you demanding in that stiuation then? If it's more than just a quick blowjob?" Because of course Sebastian would chase up those details from the other. He was him and god forbid he miss a chance to get to the proper filthy details of Kurt's mind.
There's a sharp intake of Sebastian's breath at that little turn of the tables though. His head tilting back slightly with a little shake of his head, two bright blue eyes finding Kurt's a moment later and seemed to drop down to that finger that poitned his way.
"Who's hiding." He said simply as simply gave a nod and pointed towards Kurt with his own finger before he dropped his hand before raising it to point fire a little "finger gun" towards Blaine's spot across the room. His body leaning towards Kurt a moment later.
"You think I'm scared to shout that from the rooftops and I'm not, Hummel." Sebastian teased between then, that smirk still on his face.

Island Introductions || Kurtbastian
WHO: @smythebastian and @honoluluhummel WHAT: Aloha State Student Mixer WHERE: Somewhere on a beach on Oahu. NOTES: Kurt and Sebastian meet face to face for the first time. WARNINGS: None
-
The party on the beach was already in full swing by the time Kurt made it out. It was supposed to be a mixer for new and old students alike to get to know one another, but it looked like an all-out rager by the number of intoxicated, dancing young adults. There was a DJ up on a stage right there on the sand and everyone seemed to have a drink in their hands or some sort of snack.
Kurt felt a little out of place, even if he managed to look the role of a party-goer with his floral-print shorts that ended a couple inches above the knee along with a lightweight button-up. With his favorite pair of sunglasses resting on the bridge of his nose, he looked like he fit right in with all the other kids-- except that he was practically as pale as a ghost. Thank goodness for SPF 50.
“Hey, welcome to the student mixer,” someone greeted him when he first entered the area where students had to show their school ID to get in. At least Kurt felt safe knowing the party was somewhat regulated, though it was obvious just at a glance that students were bringing in alcoholic drinks from elsewhere.
Kurt made a beeline for the refreshments table, pouring himself a cup of lemonade as he mentally debated how long he needed to stay before he could just go back to his dorm room.
“Just the lemonade, huh?” Sebastian’s voice rang through the music as he approached Kurt. He recognized him from his photo on his student profile. “Somehow I’m not surprised,” he chuckled softly as he poured himself another cup, taking a flask out of his pocket to spike his own drink. He offered the flask to Kurt.
Kurt looked up at the man, it taking a moment for him to recognize who was speaking to him. He only knew him from photos so he was slightly taken aback. When offered the flask, Kurt hesitated. He immediately thought about how Sebastian had called him a ‘wet blanket’ for not wanting to have fun but he wasn’t the type to be peer pressured into anything. “No thanks,” he finally answered, holding his drink close to him as he shook his head. “I’m not looking to get sloppy tonight.” He took a sip of his plain lemonade before looking up at the man in front of him.
Sebastian was just a bit taller than him and Kurt quickly noted that he was dressed nicely even in casualwear. His fashion sense was pretty sharp and certainly met Kurt's relatively high standards. It was obvious the man was a catch. “I’m surprised you’re gracing me with your presence and not prowling the crowd for your next sexual conquest.”
“The night’s still young, and I’ve got my eye on a couple of people,” Sebastian said with a glint in his eye as he looked down at Kurt with a teasing smirk. “I’m surprised you even showed up at all; shouldn’t you be somewhere baking or singing with a pack of woodland creatures?” He leaned against the refreshment table, taking a generous sip of his drink.
“Har har,” Kurt replied dryly, rolling his eyes. “I told you I was planning on coming; contrary to your belief, I’m very capable of having a good time.”
Sebastian’s smirk didn’t leave his face as Kurt rolled his eyes, pleased that he garnered such a reaction from the other. “And are you… having a good time?”
Kurt tried his best not to let his expression falter but truth be told, there wasn’t much fun to be had on the sidelines. “W-well, this lemonade is certainly refreshing,” he commented, shrugging slightly as he avoided eye contact with the other man.
Letting out a snicker, Sebastian shook his head. “Ah, yeah, well if anything can get a party going it’s lemonade.”
“The last thing I want is a hangover or my inhibitions lowered so I can be ambushed by someone just looking to get me into bed with them,” Kurt replied, narrowing his eyes at Sebastian’s amused expression.
Raising his eyebrows briefly, Sebastian’s expression then mirrored Kurt’s. “People who need to ambush drunk people are pathetic. I, for one, am not pathetic. I don’t need you in my bed, Hummel,” he said with another amused chuckle.
Kurt couldn’t help but to chuckle along. He wasn’t threatened by Sebastian’s presence and their shared distaste for each other was admittedly a little entertaining. They were like a cat and a dog-- or two equally sassy cats-- but Kurt at least liked having a familiar face to talk to. “Fair enough; I imagine you pick up your conquests fair and square, hm?”
“Of course,” Sebastian said as if that were the most obvious answer. “I may be forward but I’m not a predator.” As he took another drink he looked at the other with a little grin. “I’m charming, as they like to say. I don’t need anything else other than that.”
“Oh, are you now?” Kurt asked with a genuine laugh and a smile that reached his eyes. “Maybe your version of charming isn’t what I’m used to because I’ve yet to see you even remotely exude what I’d describe as charm.”
Sebastian quirked an eyebrow, the teasing smirk still on his face.. “Well, those who find me charming usually aren’t so uptight.”
Kurt wanted to be annoyed or upset with Sebastian but with the man’s smirk plastered on his face, he couldn’t bring himself to be anything but amused. “You just don’t have an off switch on you, do you?” he chuckled as he shook his head. “Alright, since I’m apparently so uptight, what would you suggest I do to remedy that-- barring sex, obviously.”
“Sex out of the equation?” Letting out an amused laugh, Sebastian shook his head. “That’s not quite fair as it is a specialty of mine.” Looking down at the liquid in his cup, he swirled it around a little before taking a sip as he left his eyes on Kurt from behind his cup. “Alcohol is a good start, also. Alcohol, sex, dancing with a stranger…”
With a bit of hesitation, Kurt looked down at his half-full cup of lemonade and then looked at Sebastian’s cup. “I’ve never had more than a few sips before, so let’s start there…” he decided, though he sounded fairly uncertain. “And I do like dancing, although I’ve been told I only cycle through the same four dance moves that’re in my repertoire.”
Sebastian’s grin grew just a little, he reached into his pocket to pull out his flask. He handed it over to Kurt before finishing off his cup and placing it in the trash next to the table. “Take a swig… or two,” he chuckled before offering his hand. “Then I’ll take you out there,” he said as he nodded towards the dance floor and you can show me those four dance moves.”
Kurt took the proffered flask, staring at it for a beat with wide, blue eyes, before he took the plunge and took a hearty swig. His face immediately scrunched together like he’d just sucked all of the juice out of a lemon. He covered his mouth with his hand as he coughed, pushing the flask back into Sebastian’s hands. “Oh my god,” he groaned between coughs. “You drink that for fun?!”
Not being able to hold back his laugh, Sebastian took back the flask and slipped it back into his pocket. He had expected a reaction from Kurt but not quite that adverse. “Yeah, I do.” He took a swig before pushing a boundary just a little and moving to slip the flask into Kurt’s pocket. “You’ll see why after your next couple of sips,” he assured him before offering his hand again. “Shall we?”
Once Kurt composed himself, he downed the rest of his lemonade which cleansed his palate of the strong alcohol. He wasn’t sure how the other man could so easily sip from the flask but he wasn’t going to question it. “I’m not sure I want another sip of your rubbing alcohol,” he quipped as he took Sebastian’s hand to be led away from the refreshment table and towards the throng of people who were all dancing.
“That’s probably the most expensive rubbing alcohol you’ve ever seen.” Laughing once again, Sebastian just shook his head as he took Kurt to the dance floor. There was a rather upbeat song booming throughout the beach as students of all ages gathered around, dancing with each other. Sebastian let go of Kurt’s hand to leave a respectable distance between them so they could dance. “So, what are these famous Kurt Hummel dances that you cycle through so often?”
Kurt laughed and shook his head. “Oh, I wouldn’t call them famous but I’ve been teased a bit for lacking a variety in my choreography; dancing isn’t exactly my strong suit,” he explained with a faint blush kissing his cheeks. He started to move his hips along to the music, slowly getting a feel for the beat. He only felt mildly self-conscious-- especially since he was essentially dancing with a stranger-- but he figured it wouldn’t hurt to attempt to have a good time.
Even with just a swig, the alcohol certainly managed to loosen Kurt up even if only a little bit. He was far from drunk but he felt an unfamiliar and pleasant buzz thrumming through him. “Do you dance with all the freshmen at these mixers?”
Sebastian’s small smirk tugged at his lips once again at Kurt’s question and he gave a little shrug. “Not intentionally. It’s usually the freshmen who are so eager to be swept off their feet by a dashing gentleman such as myself, but I give everyone an equal chance,” he winked. Sebastian knew he was laying it on pretty thick, but it was fun to get a reaction from his dance partner.
“Oh, well how gracious of you,” Kurt said with a heavy tone of sarcasm as he rolled his eyes while giving a playful chuckle. He’d be lying if he said Sebastian wasn’t more charming in person, but he couldn’t give the other man the satisfaction of knowing that. “So typically the freshmen take one look at you and you’re irresistible-- is that it?”
Sebastian laughed gently at Kurt’s sarcasm, he liked that it seemed he’d met his match when it came to sass. “Well, sort of-- it’s mostly the freshman from out of state. They’ve moved away from home for the first time, thousands of miles away. They’re looking to go wild and crazy and figure themselves out and usually that tends to start with flirting around and sleeping around with handsome strangers such as myself,” he said, taking Kurt’s hand suddenly and spinning him around with the music, that same smirk on his face. “I’m merely an innocent prop in their personal game of finding themselves.”
Kurt followed along effortlessly, like a feather in Sebastian’s wind as he spun around gracefully. “Oh, well, your generosity to those thirsty freshmen is truly inspirational,” he replied, every word still dripping with sarcasm. Feeling a little daring, Kurt decided to push the envelope a little with his sassy little remarks. So far, it seemed that of everyone he’d gotten acquainted with at his new school, only Sebastian could keep up with his snarky wit. “I bet it’s just eating you up inside that I’m not one of those poor freshmen looking to let loose, hm?”
Sebastian pulled Kurt a little closer as they danced, looking down at him as he kept his straight posture. He was enjoying this little game that they were getting into; it was a nice change of pace to his usual conquests who were just falling for whatever charming bullshit he was spewing at the time. “Not at all,” he said, keeping his cool. Admittedly the more Kurt showed his disinterest the more Sebastian wanted to push his luck with him. “I don’t need your attention to stroke my ego. If anything, your disinterest is a nice change of pace,” he said, speaking his earlier thoughts.
“Oh really? Is it the sort of predicament where since you sleep with everyone you’ve got tons of notches in your bedpost and not very many friends? That sounds awfully lonely in the long run,” Kurt noted with a slight frown. “Well, since you’re uninterested and I’m uninterested, this sounds like the beginnings of an unlikely friendship if you ask me.”
Narrowing his eyes a little, his smile grew just a little bit. “What makes you think I don’t have many friends?” It was curious that Kurt had made such a bold and correct assumption. Sebastian didn’t really have that many friends on the island. He had maybe two people he would consider actual friends but no more than that. But Kurt didn’t need to know that.
Kurt shrugged. “If you’re the Casanova you’re claiming to be, I’d find it hard to believe you don’t leave a trail of broken hearts behind you. You’re also terribly snarky so that takes a certain caliber of patience, and I imagine you don’t bother censoring yourself, right?” He glanced away for a moment as he thought about his own snarkiness; it certainly managed to rub people the wrong way sometimes.
There was a moment where Kurt let out a soft sigh, his eyes downcast, and just as quickly shook himself out of his more vulnerable feelings. “People like people who don’t speak up, unfortunately. It’s not the best for making friends.”
Sebastian didn’t tear his eyes away from Kurt, his face softening just a little as well as his insides. Sebastian knew all too well what it was like to not have friends— real friends. He’d struggled with it for a long time and Emily had always reminded him of one thing. “People who’d rather you stay quiet aren’t worth your time,” he offered with a shrug. “Not to sound like an episode of something on the Disney Channel but being yourself will attract those you can really trust, y’know? Being fake will only bring fake relationships.”
Kurt’s mouth hung open for a moment as he failed to find the words for an immediate response. He hadn't expected words like that to come out of Sebastian's mouth and he was honestly a little impressed. "Mm, kind is a really nice color on you," he replied, looking up into Sebastian's shining emerald eyes. He hadn't really noticed just how green they were until just now. "As unbearable as you can be with that mouth of yours, I will say that I thoroughly enjoy your sincerity; I prefer it when people are upfront with who they are and wear their hearts on their sleeves."
A mischievous smirk lit up Sebastian’s face at Kurt’s choice of words. Taking the opportunity that was presented in front of him because Sebastian Smythe never wasted the chance to be suggestive. He chuckled lowly as he raised his eyebrows. “Then you won’t mind when I tell you that you have no idea what this mouth of mine can do.” He normally would invade a date’s space while saying something so suggestive, but he knew the reaction he wanted would come from Kurt regardless of how close they were standing.
Kurt tried his best to keep a straight face but the redness that flushed his cheeks ultimately betrayed him. He scoffed and shook his head in an attempt to play off his initial reaction. “I don’t think I want to know, thanks,” he replied dryly. He surmised that Sebastian only showed his genuineness in tiny doses, and he’d had his day’s worth with his Disney Channel comment.
Sebastian laughed softly, satisfied with Kurt’s reaction. He didn’t miss the red that painted his cheeks. Before he could say anything else, he felt a buzz in his pocket signalling that he’d received a text.
I see you picked up fresh meat-- he’s cute. Stop wasting your time trying to get him into bed and come help me pick up some girls at the bar.
Looking around for a moment to find Hunter’s face in the crowd, Sebastian chuckled softly as he nodded his head to let Hunter know he’d be on his way. Looking at Kurt, he slipped his phone into his pocket. “Well, Hummel, I’d say this was a pleasure but you wouldn’t know what that word means,” he teased with a playful grin. “I’ll see you around, hopefully?”
Kurt lifted his eyebrows as he quickly surmised his new friend was being summoned by someone else. "Oh, I'm sure you'll find a way to appreciate me even if we aren't meeting in bed," Kurt chuckled as he waved Sebastian and his jokes off. "Seeing as how we go to the same school, we're bound to run into each other. Go get your rocks off or whatever it is you're flying off to do." He smiled then, offering a meek little wave before he turned to see if he could find another familiar face among the crowd of students.
Sebastian couldn’t help but chuckle as he watched Kurt go off into the crowd. Shaking his head, he turned to make his way to his other friend.
Hunter had been waiting on the sidelines, eyes trained on Sebastian as he made his way over now that Kurt was gone. He and Sebastian were cut from the same expensive cloth, born with silver spoons and exquisitely aged liquor in their mouths. The man was by society's definition, the epitome of attractive with his sharp jaw, chiseled body, and flawless skin. The fact that he had money and status was the icing on the cake, really. It was no surprise he and Sebastian were friends; birds of a feather flock together, after all.
"You're wasting your time with that one," Hunter told his friend in his deep and masculine voice.
Sebastian shook his head, looking off to where Kurt had disappeared. “I don’t think so. I think you underestimate me, Hunt.” He turned his attention to the other man.
Hunter took a swig of his own alcoholic beverage before he snickered. "I estimate you just fine. Rumor has it that the guy's a total prude; apparently he broke up with his high school boyfriend because he wouldn't give his virginity up or whatever. People like that don't just give it up for guys like you."
With a look of disapproval, Sebastian took Hunter’s drink from his hand and helped himself to a sip. “I repeat, you underestimate me,” he said as he handed the cup back to Hunter. “His ex-boyfriend is severely lacking in an important quality that gets boys like that in bed with you--” he raised his eyebrows as he looked at his friend. “He isn’t me.”
“Oh, fuck off,” Hunter laughed heartily as he finished off what was left in his cup before nodding in the direction of the beachwalk to one of their usual places. “He’s a grade-A typical virgin; he’s the type that won’t give it up until he’s engaged to Mr. Right. You are definitely not Mr. Right.”
Sebastian shook his head. “You seriously don’t think I could get a guy like that in bed? As if I haven’t before? I’m sorry, have we met?” He asked as he let out an amused laugh. “I can get him in bed, without the promise of marriage.” He said the word like it left a sour taste in his mouth. “It would take a little work but I could— easily.”
Hunter laughed again as Sebastian all but spat out the word marriage. They were both similar beings in that neither were tied down by relationships nor were they looking for anything long-term at least while they were still in school. “I know you, Sebastian. You like a challenge but if the reward isn’t worth the effort, you don’t bother. Chasing after a guy like that? There’s no reward there; you have better luck trying to get me into your bed.”
Sebastian let out his own hearty laugh at Hunter’s statement. “Clarington, I don’t need luck to get you in my bed; I just need you to stop lying to yourself. And with every day I get closer without putting in any work at all-- have you seen yourself drunk?”
The two were strictly friends-- by Hunter’s definition-- but Sebastian knew better. Whenever Hunter got a little too liquored up, his position on the Kinsey scale wavered quite a bit. He was much more willing to kiss Sebastian and even once let a strange man on the dance floor feel him up, but he always blamed it on the alcohol once he was sobered up.
“Whatever,” Hunter dismissed as they arrived at a popular bar and flashed their IDs at the bouncer before making a beeline for the bartender to get started. “Besides, I’m not a virgin.”
“It would definitely be a challenge but it wouldn’t be a lot of work. Please, virgins are only virgins because they think they have to be and they haven’t been tempted enough to feel desirable. Trust me, I’ve slept with enough of them to know. It wasn’t for lack of wanting that they’ve stuck to the virginal route-- more like the lack of trying,” Sebastian explained. “A few dates, a few weeks of charm and toeing the line; he’ll be in my bed before the end of the semester.” He looked at Hunter with a smirk. “You, however? You’ll be in my bed before the end of the month.”
Hunter let out a laugh as the bartender came over to them and poured them two glasses of tequila. “You’re too fuckin’ arrogant-- and that’s coming from me, so that’s saying something. I’d bet good money you can’t get that little prude into bed even if you tried your damnedest,” he said as set his black credit card down to open up a tab. Picking up the glass, he waited for Sebastian to do the same so they could clink them together and down the shots at the same time.
Sebastian grinned as he looked down at the glass and Hunter’s card, feeling a little smug that he had Hunter buying him a drink without even trying. He wouldn’t point that out just yet, though. “I’d take that bet but I don’t need your money, Hunt,” Sebastian said as he picked up the glass to gently bump it against Hunter’s before tapping it on the bar and throwing it back at the same time. “What else you got?”
After his drink, Hunter set the empty glass back down on the bar before scanning the dance floor for any possible interested hook-ups. No one immediately caught his attention so he looked back at Sebastian. “Okay, since you’re so damned confident-- I’ll bet you the kid won’t give it up for you before the end of the semester or I’ll sleep with you, completely sober,” he proposed before waving the bartender back down for another round of drinks. “But if you can’t, then I don’t want to ever hear you say shit like I’m ‘bi-curious’ or that you’ll get me into your bed or what the fuck ever just because I do silly shit when I drink. I’m no homophobe but you sound like a broken record sometimes, man.”
Sebastian laughed as he shook his head. “You’re pathetic, you know that? You’re so desperate to pretend you aren’t curious. You don’t even see that I have you right where I want you.” With his words, he invaded Hunter’s space just an inch more than he normally would as he reached for the other’s hand to take. It wasn’t that Sebastian was necessarily attracted to Hunter as a person; he just liked having fun. The game of teasing the other was fun.
Hunter took a step back and nearly recoiled backward, jerking his hand away. “Don’t screw around with me, man,” he warned him as he took his now-refilled drink and downed it without waiting for Sebastian. His patience for his friend was running short and being replaced with irritation. “You don’t know what the hell you’re even talking about.”
Sebastian couldn’t help but laugh out loud again. “I was trying to shake your hand because of the bet, dumbass.” He downed his own drink. “But good to know where your mind is at,” he teased.
Hunter knew that the other man was just trying to get a rise out of him and it pissed the former off that the latter was actually succeeding. Rolling his eyes and shaking his head, Hunter roughly took Sebastian's hand into his own and gave it a firm shake. "I hate you sometimes. I seriously don't see how you're gonna get that prude into bed with you even if he wasn't a virgin."
“I can be rather charming when I want to be, that’s how,” Sebastian said as he shook Hunter’s hand just as firmly, solidifying their bet. “You may hate me, but you know that hate sex can be the best kind of sex sometimes.” He winked as he waved down the bartender for one more round. “You can’t hate me too much, though. You keep coming back for more.”
"I don't know why," Hunter grumbled, though he didn't disagree. "Maybe because I'm a prick, too." Once the bartender came back around to refill their drinks again, Hunter raised his glass for a little toast with a smug grin. "May the best man win-- which will be me, but I'll pretend you actually have a chance."
Sebastian chuckled softly, downing his third shot after they toasted. “Either way you win,” he teased with a wink as let out a content sigh as he looked at the crowd of dancing people. “Well, while this has been a load of fun, unless you plan on going home with me, I have new people to talk to. Thanks for the drinks, babe.” Sebastian crinkled his nose, patting the bar with his hand before he bid his friend goodbye.

It Doesn’t Have To Be Awkward, Does It? || SEBTONY
Tony had learned a long time ago that there was really no need to own a car in New York, since there were forms of transportation of any kind that could take you anywhere you wanted, like at that moment, when he was riding the subway along with Cleopatra to go to Sebastian’s art showing. He debated a lot about going there that night, not really wanting to go poking into something that had happened five years ago, but he was actually curious about seeing his work, given it was one of the things they talked bout when they were at the camp.
The camp. That seemed centuries ago, even if if had been years already. He couldn’t help but smile to himself when he thought about those days, the best summer he has had ever since. It was also the last time he had been with a guy, having hooked up with some women, and then going steady with Cleopatra, and there was a part of him that missed that, and very much. His tongue flicked over his lips when he thought of the way Sebastian made him feel that night, things he hadn’t thought about ever again, until he saw him at his store that day, and looking better than ever.
That fucker.
“Tony, you’re okay? Come on, we’re here.” Cleopatra’s voice made him snap out of it and he blinked to get a better grip of his surroundings, notincing then they were at the due station where they had to get off.
He couldn’t deny he was actully excited about that night, even if that didn’t come without a small sense of guilt, especially when he held onto his girlfriend’s hand to go up the stairs thatled outside.
