Something a little more recent for the ask thing: Digi Charat?

The first character I first fell in love with: Dejiko of course!

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: I didn’t expect to like the new characters (I know Broccodess isn’t technically new but she hasn’t been animated before) in Reiwa at all, but they’re pretty cute and didn’t overstay their welcome/take up other characters screen time like I feared.

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: how do you dislike anyone in DiGi Charat lol. Changing the question a bit, I’ll say their characterisations in Panyo Panyo DiGi Charat, which I don’t like at all. I also don’t really like DiGi Charat Nyo. Plus Winter Garden but literally no one likes Winter Garden lol.

The character I love that everyone else hates: I have no idea who anyone hates but I do wonder if Kimura Takuro would be cancelled by modern fanbases due to his weird infatuation with Puchiko but I think he is very funny so I will defend him.

The character I used to love but don’t any longer: When I was a teenager I was very adamant about Piyoko being the absolute best character, not just in DiGi Charat but…ever? I don’t remember why. I think she’s very cute but rewatching it as an adult over the years Dejiko is definitely the best character to me now.

The character I would totally smooch: none of them tbh

The character I’d want to be like: there is not a single decent role model in this franchise

The character I’d slap: n/a

A pairing that I love: the concept of digi charat shipping is very bizarre to me, so pass

I love Panyo Panyo Digi Charat! Even if it's not a "traditional magical girl" series it feels like one to me, because it stars girls who work together to make people happy and is very fun, pure and heartwarming. It has such an innocent sense of humor as well. It was one of my first animes and honestly it was one of the greatest shows out there for the child I was back then.

Does this happen in Digi Charat?

Dejiko does something clumsy and Gema calls her Dojiko? (Doji = clumsy)

Because in Ojamajo Doremi, Doremi is called Dojimi by Kotake because she’s clumsy :p

Dejiko isn’t as clumsy as Doremi but I thought of the pun with her name lol
