Baler: More Than Surfing
Of all the places in the Philippines I visited in 2023, Baler was one of the places I know very little about, but glad to have went to. Here’s the story of our adventures… Baler is not that far Metro Manila (about 280 kilometers away) but getting there felt like going to a much further place. Driving takes around 6 hours, majority of which into small local roads, with a significant part over…

Taking a long break is like a soothing balm for our weary souls, nourishing and rejuvenating both our mental and physical well-being.
My boyfriend and I are on a 7-day vacation to Nueva Ecija, his dad's province. During our break, we searched for places to visit in Nueva Ecija and discovered Lake Dela Marre in Pantabangan. It took us an hour to get there, and the place unfolded before my eyes like a hidden gem, its beauty taking me completely by surprise. We took numerous pictures and decided to have our lunch here.
Here's are some snapshots:
The blue skies spread above like a vast ocean of tranquility, enveloping you in a serene and calm embrace. I am happy to be with my best friend.
The food is delicious, providing an enjoyable taste while you take in the whole ambiance. It is definitely worth your money.
I truly enjoyed the place; it was refreshing to discover this hidden beauty in Nueva Ecija. It made me forget all the stresses that happen in the city, if only for a while. Thanks for bringing me here, honey. ♡

Title: Journey Through the Hidden Beauty of Rizal, Nueva Ecija
Nestled in the heart of the Philippines, the quaint town of Rizal in Nueva Ecija offers a unique and off-the-beaten-path travel experience. With its rich history, breathtaking natural wonders, and warm hospitality, I embarked on a journey to discover the hidden beauty that this place has to offer.
My adventure commenced in the town center, where the Rizal Museum and Library served as a gateway to understanding the town's history. With artifacts, photographs, and informative displays, I delved into Rizal's past, learning about its important role during the country's struggle for independence. The museum provided a glimpse into the pride and heritage of the locals, igniting a sense of appreciation for their cultural identity.
Leaving the town center behind, I set out to explore the captivating waterfalls that dot the region. My first destination was Minalungao National Park, a pristine haven of emerald-green waters, towering limestone cliffs, and lush foliage. As I rode a bamboo raft along the Penaranda River, the stunning landscapes and peaceful surroundings transported me to a state of tranquility.
Continuing my journey, I made my way to the iconic Pantabangan Dam. This engineering marvel not only provides hydroelectric power to the region but also offers a breathtaking view of the vast Pantabangan Lake. Standing atop the majestic dam, I marveled at the pristine turquoise waters stretching out as far as the eye could see. The tranquility of the lake, coupled with the surrounding hills, painted a picture-perfect scene that left me in awe of nature's wonder.
No travelogue of Rizal would be complete without a visit to the scenic Gabaldon Falls. Located in the heart of the flowing waters, I discovered a true oasis amidst nature's embrace.
I cannot end this travelogue without mentioning the warm and welcoming people of Rizal, Nueva Ecija. Kind-hearted and hospitable, the locals made my visit a truly exceptional experience.
As I bid farewell to Rizal, Nueva Ecija, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to explore such a hidden gem. The captivating waterfalls, stunning landscapes, and kind-hearted locals had made this journey a transformative experience. Rizal is a testament to the hidden beauty that lies within every corner of the Philippines and showcases the unique destinations waiting to be discovered.

"Breath of Dingalan, Aurora
It was around Holy week when we decided to go on a trip and we chose Dingalan, Aurora as our destination- one of our dream destination because of its beach and all. We took almost 3-4 hours tavel to finally arrived in our destination. During our travel, we pass by different places like Laur and Pantabangan dam. Actually, I am amazed seeing how Patabangan dam looks like. I am overwhelmed by the different views while travelling.
Dingalan was a long drive from me, but anyways, I love long drive. When we got in the place where we are staying, It was almost lunch so we, together with our companions decided to eat lunch and have a short rest since we all know that driving is also tiring. After resting we just changed our clothes and fix some things and drove to our first destinatiom im Dingalan, the Tanawan Falls. It was 5 minutes drive from our place or the cabin where we are staying. Before actually seeing the falls, you need to walk- it was like a hiking for me, for almost 10-15 minutes. We are surprised and didn’t expect the long walk under the scorching sun without umbrella, but thanks to my mom, she has blanket inside her bag. Walking was hard under a scorching sun, but it was a great experience for me. It was tiring but it was all worth the sweat. When we arrived there, it was over crowded- but we can’t blame them since it was holy week, we should expect a lot of people having a vacation. The water in the falls was very cold, an icy cold. I didn’t take a chance taking a bath because since it was over crowded, the water is cold, icy cold. So I just sat beside a big rock under a tress and watch the people, having fun. After that, we got back in the place where were going to spend our night and call it a day. Early in the morning, we packed our things and drove to the beach of Dingalan, we rent a cottage and started taking pictures at the beach. This is also the day 2, and our last stay. I didn’t enjoy the beach that much because it’s very hot, the sun is striking in my skin plus I don’t want to be a tanned skin girl. So again I just sat inside the cottage and watch the people again.
As we drove back home, it was sunset, still enjoying the view. But realization while travelling hit me hard. We will only miss it when it’s already gone and done. I didn’t enjoy it- but it was my decision- regretted it as we drove back. But anyways it was tiring but worth everything.
