Tai Tai Charlene is up from New Plymouth for the Devonport Half Marathon. TT really wanted to try the new A-Block in Browns Bay, having seen Uncle’s food post the day before. Artist Audrey So is putting the fi ishing touches to the A-Block mural and surprise surprise Tai Tai Charlene sees her friend Ken Tee is the top notch barista. TT had the Shashuka-Bam, cumin-roasted roasted aubergine, zucchini, capsicum, cauliflower, tomato, baked eggs, cheese & garlic parmesan bruschetta. That's an amazing range of components and all arriving in a eye-catching presentation. Uncle had the smashed avo but there's nothing proverbial in this plate. The smashed avocado came with pea on sourdough topped with semi-dried tomato + poached egg & panko halloumi. Uncle cannot resist halloumi, especially when it's panko crumbed. TT couldn't resist the cheese cake.
