Note
Even tho this wasn’t a question asked to me and i want to add this right here
(constructive criticism is accepted and welcomed but I suggest that they are presented with proves)
ok
*Takes a deep breadth, cracks knuckles* let’s do this baby.
Ok so there are many versions of mahabharat and literally NO single version is completely accurate. AND no character is fool proof, if seen in a way, not even Krishna (don’t get me wrong i f-ing love krishna and there is NO force in the world that can change that, my keshav)
Now if we are talking about Subhadra Harna, in some version (that i saw a screenshot of) the chapter is called ‘Rape of Subhadra’ while in other versions it is called Balaram’s anger while in others it is called Draupadi’s anger (or both really). About the title ‘Rape of Subhadra’, the word ‘Rape’ triggers a lot of ppl but it actually does not mean what we call rape today. The olden times things like abducting young women, abusing them, touching them or forcing yourself on them were considered so bad that they were simply termed as rape. So rape of Subhadra basically means abduction of Subhadra (the word abduction for this topic too is somewhat debatable).
Because no version is completely accurate, I would like to present some versions that i think are unique and and were presented first so...
According to Vyasa, there was some festival in Dwarka and Arjuna was invited by Krishna. This is the first time Arjuna had lain his eyes on Subhadra and let me tell you, Subhardra was an exceptional beauty but as she laughed and went around simply being Subhadra, Arjuna couldn’t help but fall in love with her. Krishna noticed this and confronted Arjuna about it to which Arjuna confessed his feelings (this lover boy). When Arjuna asked what according to Krishna will Subhadra say if he proposed to her. To this Krishna said that such a question can only be answered by her and after hearing this Arjuna fell into a huge pit of what ifs. Krishna later told him that if he truly desires Subhadra, what he can really do is abduct her and the deed followed. Subhadra simply accepted Arjuna as her husband and loved him. She was Arjuna’s favorite wife.
I guess Krishna did what he did because he understood Subhadra much better than anyone and cared for Arjuna as his friend. Subhadra was informed that she was to be wed to Duryodhan by Balrama. After knowing this, maybe she wouldn’t would have wanted to go against her brother and would have rejected Arjuna he had asked her hand in marriage. And thus Krishna Suggested what he suggested.
In other versions of Mahabharata, specially Bori or Bhagwad geeta, Sri Krishna is glorified in an extreme manner. Making him and only him the superior god. Growing up, as i heard the stories and glories of Kanha through my grand-dad(who is a firm lover of Krishna), I didnt consider him superior or the way he is glorified, but i LOVED him. I would chant his name, for it brought me peace (and i continue to do it), hum the songs from that one cartoon called Krishna and Blaram (ig it aired on pogo? or Cartoon net?), so no hate for my Madhav. Back to the topic.
In other versions where Krishna is Glorified they tend to tell a story where Krishna wouldn’t promote the ‘Rape’ of his sister by stating that she already loved Arjuna and eloped with him as she guided the chariot with a smile on her face.
However, one can believe what they want to believe, I’ll be here believing in krishna and everything he did.
About Draupadi and Karna’s Relationship. Look I dont understand where and how did people get this conception (if this is coming from The Palace Of Illusions, I’d like to show you the door). And as of @1nsaankahanhai-bkr I don’t remember her ever suggesting any such relationship. However, If there was any relationship between the two then it would surely be of vengeance, anger and hatred.
Karna is Superior to not only Arjuna but maybe the complete Pandava Clan. This boi was so powerful and determined to prove his superiority, he forgot where dharma actually was. Imagine yourself in his shoes. Let yourself feel the kind of humiliation and hatred that was given to him. Let yourself be deprived of everything in life only to find out you always deserved it. Situations turned him salty and there is no greater poison than hatred. No I’m talking about Arjuna, I’m talking about the society, the samaj. His people failed him unlike Arjuna, he was always supported and cared for. Karna was a lost baby. Idk. This however does not justify the the kind of shit he did. The boy deserved better.
Hey! You said that arjun forced himself on subhadra but I asked nila and she said no . I got called nasty because of you. And now you have problem with relationships oof pandava and draupadhi too . And do you ship karna with draupadhi, do you think he is better than arjun or the other pandavas?
I never said that arjun forced himself on subhadra. If you want an argument go somewhere else. I said that he kidnapped her and I think it's bad. I have zero doubts about them being a happy couple . In fact it's mentioned that subhadra was his favourite wife, which is confusing because arjuna and draupadhi are presented as the ultimate otp .Nilanee send me a screenshot where subhadra is described to be "smiling" during the incidence. But that does not change my opinion much. If it was meant to be "unproblematic " ( putting it in inverted commas because it's a meme now , courtesy yours truly) then it would have been presented as elopement and not abduction. Maybe that's how we are supposed to see it. Over the years we have romanticised the characters as @medhasree pointed out in this post https://medhasree.tumblr.com/post/618998097233756160/devolution-of-rukmini-harana .maybe we weren't supposed to do so and see them as just characters and not "good" or "evil" characters.
Now you can say that he is human and humans make mistakes but no. He isn't human. He is a demigod much like his other five brothers.( sorry for being so petty)And something like him accidentally being responsible for dushala's son's death is mistake not kidnapping a woman.
Eg -I love my boyfriend and he loves me (I don't have a boyfriend lol). Now if my boyfriend kidnaps me , he doesn't not force himself on me or anything like that. It does not mean that him me kidnapping is not bad.
Now I know I am seeing this ( and the arjun /ulopi incident and the draupadhi pandavas incident)from a modern perspective which I shouldn't considering the story is thousands of years old but I can't help.
Even if she was happy to be with him ,knew him from before and loved him that does not change the fact that he indeed kidnapped her. Now a woman's consent is not explicitly mentioned as a man's desire for a woman is. Nilanee @incurablescribbler pointed that out https://incurablescribbler.tumblr.com/post/619804554127720448/buddy-we-have-talked-about-consent-issues-with so we have to suffice our selves with smiles and gestures.
Secondly, you were called "nasty" because you said there was nothing wrong with uloopi and arjun. I mean what? I didn't want to say that but she literally compels him to bed her. I think you know what's that called.
Then you said they were "parallel or star crossed lovers" or something like that. And that's the reason they are your otp. Hello! This isn't your 20th century western literature. It's an ancient text/mythology/ history.
Regarding draupadhi and pandavas, I blame kunti more than I blame any of the pandavas. She knew that the " thing " was a woman and that this woman loved only arjun. I know she went ahead to have a healthy marriage with all of them , except for yudhishthir maybe. That dude sold his brother and wife. What concerns me is that she wasn't asked, same problem that I have with subhadra's abduction .
Her healthy relationship with them does not change the fact that she was objectified or that she wasn't asked about it. So we have to satisfy ourselves with draupadhi's face muscle movement as nilanee pointed out again.
I don't have problem with pandavas except for yudhishthir.
And no I definitely do not ship karna with draupadhi. I love him but he doesn't even deserve her Shadow and if you had ever been on my blog then you would know that even though these two are some of my favourite characters I hate that ship. That man literally suggested her disrobing.
And I do think arjun is a better person than karna is.
As far as I know he didn't suggest his friend to disrobe a woman in front of whole sabha. I guess that gives him 10000 dummy points and automatically makes him a better man. Also he didn't make an enemy out of a boy many years younger than him for no reason.
Karna has numerous good qualities ,maybe more than any Pandu putra and I know most of you will disagree but he still chooses to be a dick. Maybe that's the lesson we can learn from him that you can have every quality a hero has but it's not your qualities that define you but your actions. Your actions define you and a typical hero archetype can also be a complete piece of shit if he wants to be.
Also nilanee and I do not need a grey faced raven with hooded eyes.
Lastly I am from mithilanchal. Hum log "mariyada purshottom " ram ko nahi bakshte to arjun ya mahabharata ka koi bhi character kya cheez hai.
That's it this is the second and last time I am seriously talking about mahabharata. I am back to making memes and edits.
PS: Mere memes ko like aur reblog karona. Varna me aanson li nadiya baha doingi.

Enjoy the Swing of Monsoon with Teej and Rakhi
1. Hariyali Teej or Choti Teej (Saturday, 3rd August 2019)2. Kajari Teej or Badi Teej (Sunday, 18th August 2019)3. Haritalika Teej (Sunday, 1st September 2019)
This article Teej and Rakhi is originally published by Sauve women. The Hindu months of Saawan and Bhadrapada correspond to the Gregorian months of July, August and September. It is in these months that the two important festivals – Teej and Rakhi are celebrated with gusto in various parts of India.
 Teej
With the onset of monsoon, the smell of petrichor emanates from the earth and the downpour of rain, lifts the heart with joy. There’s greenery everywhere and nature shines in all its glory.
This is also a period that is marked by the fasting of women who worship Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva to grant them the boon of marital bliss.
Teej is actually celebrated in three forms: Hariyali Teej, Kajari Teej, Haritalika Teej and is celebrated with enthusiasm by both married and unmarried women.
Hariyali Teej is associated with the bounty of nature and the greenery that livens up the earth after the sweltering heat. It is observed on the third day of the Lunar month, Shraavana.
Hariyali Teej is an extremely important festival for newlyweds. The parents gift their daughter and her in-laws’ gifts and sweets called Sindhara.
The gift contains ghewar, jewellery, homemade sweets, henna and bangles. Folk songs, dances, fairs and swings all set the mood for festivity and fervour.
Dressed in green, women perform special pooja for Goddess Parvati and she, as Teej Mata, is then taken on a special procession on the streets. The mood is jubilant and laughter reverberates the air.
The Kajari Teej falls 15 days after Hariyali Teej. the festival is not observed pan-India but mainly in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh where people celebrate the advent of monsoon.
Adorned in flower jewellery and looking stunning in new clothes, women swing on jhoolas and apply mehendi. On this specific day, they observe a strict fast.
The celebrations for Hartalika Teej continue for three days in the month of Bhadrapada. Obeisance is made to Goddess Parvati who is honoured for her devotion to Lord Shiva.
 Teej Celebrations
The festival of Teej is marked by flowers, colours, songs, henna and swings. When we think of Teej, we think of mehendi, flowers, Bandhini dupattas, bangles and ghewar. There’s glee and joyous spirit around.
Women dress in beautiful sarees and invoke their childlike spirit by singing songs and swinging on jhoolas hung from trees.
 Let’s have fun this Teej!
1. Adorn your hair with fresh flowers.
 2. Wear a bijouterie of flowers. The market is filled with all kinds of colours of flowers. Make or buy floral jewellery and deck yourself with floral cummerbund, mang tika, necklace, earrings and rings.
 3. Add hues to your traditional outfits. Teej is a festival of happiness and it reflects in the vibrant colours you wear.
 4. Wear coloured bangles and apply henna on your hands and feet.
 5. Use energetic, fun colours, like fuchsia, orange, green, yellow and purple in the decor. Arrange cushions in sparkling colours or dress the area in yardage of bright fabrics or Badhini dupattas that liven up the ambience.
 6. Hang strings of marigold in yellows and orange or decorate the entrance with a beautiful rangoli using flowers and colours.
 7. We all like to be treated like a princess. Keeping in mind that Teej is the “festival of swings”, adorn your jhoola with flowers.
 8. Expecting guests? Treat them special by showering them with flowers as soon as they enter your home. Take hospitality a notch higher by giving them a box of ghewar or a treat bag filled with cookies when they leave.
 Rakhi
There are many Mythological stories that talk of the genesis of the festival. According to the mythological legend, Bhavishya Purana, a holy bracelet was given by Lord Vishnu to Indra’s wife Sachi when he was facing tough resistance from the mighty demon king, Bali.
Once she tied the thread to her husband he ultimately defeated the demon and recovered Amravati or Indra Lok.
The Mahabharata also makes mention of Draupadi, the wife of Pandavas tying Rakhi to Lord Krishna and Kunti tying the sacred thread to Abhimanyu before the war ensued.
This gesture was believed to protect them from harm and death. The stories may differ but the reason for celebration is the same – it wishes prosperity, well-being and long life for the one you love.
According to the Hindu Calendar, Raksha Bandhan is an occasion that falls in the month of Shravana and celebrates the deep bond shared between a brother and sister.
The sister ties Rakhi, the auspicious thread, on the right wrist of her brother, feeds him sweets or mithai and prays for his long life. The brother, in turn, gives her a gift – a token of love, and a pledge to protect her for the rest of his life.
The “knot of protection” or the Rakhi have become fancier in recent times. They have themes and cater to different age groups.
For children, there are Disney characters, cartoons, superheroes and foods they love. For adults, the range goes from simple threads costing little to expensive rakhis handcrafter in semi-precious stones, silver, gold and embellished with zardozi and hand embroidery.
Whichever thread you pick has one thing in common and that is love – the true bond which the festival of Rakhi celebrates.

THE TIME HAS CAME. Let me show you the most beautiful being of this world, blessing from gods, love of my life, my biggest obssesion, personification of perfection and reason why Im still alive. I present you Son of the Sun God Surya, hero of the Indian epic Mahabharata - Karna. This introduction was supposed to be way longer, because when I was thinking how to write this post I still hadn't had Karna in Fate/Grand Order. I thought I'll be writing "please give Karna" trilion times in this post, BUT I'VE BEEN BLESSED AND HIS CARD CAME TO ME. I can finally look at my angel and listen to his voice (He has the most beautiful voice in the world and Im crying whenever I hear him. Im not joking.) when Im going sleep or before getting up from bed. Now Im the happiest person in the world even if I summooned him looong time ago. I think something about when I published latest blog. Whatever. Be prepared that Im going to write about his perfectness for 99% of this post. And it'll be really weird because Im a weirdo normally and if it goes for Karna then Im beating everything in this world or even universe. Don't say that I hadn't warned. You're reading this on your risk. Karna is son of queen Kunti and sun god, Surya. Kunti wanted a proof that Karna is Surya's son so she prayed to him. He listened her words and gave Karna golden armour that made him invulnerable. It's sad but Kunti abandoned Karna who was her first son. As a queen and wife of king Pandu she didn't need Karna. (HOW COULD SHE DO SOMETHING BAD TO MY PRECIOUS ANGEL. If I could ever meet her I'd murder her with my own hands.) Karna grew up with a low social status, alone, with only the things he had been given by his father, held in his chest (You can see it on second picture. And look at Fate's Karna, he has a cute crystal there 💕 ) Karna was growing up alone, without even knowing his mother's face. He was really cold and cruel, most of his actions were violent. (Don't blame him. It is falut of environment where he was living. KARNA DID NOTHING WRONG.) He couldn't even learn humans emotions. But Karna didn't hate his mother or people who surrounded him. He accepted everything. (Look how forgiving my boy is. People should learn from him.) His mother and father were the ones who gave him life so he thought that no matter what kind of person his mother was, he couldn't hate her. If there is anything he had to hate it was himself alone. (YOU'RE PERFECT AND REMEMBER IT PLEASE, I LOVE YOU, DON'T HATE YOURSELF MY PRECIOUS ANGEL, I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU) Karna was a virtuous and perceptive child. He grown up and participated in a conference of the Kuru family. Then, five Pandava brothers were praising themselves and their magnificent skills. Third son Arjuna's (I HATE YOU, YOU PIECE OF TRASH. YOU SHOULDN'T EXIST AND HURT MY LOVELY KARNA. Arjuna is bad. Karna is good. Remember this and everything will be fine.) skill at the bow was especially great. No one could beat him. But then Karna challenged Arjuna. Arjuna (I mean that little garbage) refused because Karna's status wasn't high enough to challenge someone like prince. Karna and his honour were saved by the oldest brother of Kaurava clan, Duryodhana. He became interested in Karna and made him a king in palace Pandavas. A battle with five brothers, especially Arjuna (trash lord) was waiting for Karna. Soon the war between Pandava and Kauravas started. It was called Kurukshetra War. Karna stand in Kauravas side to help Duryodhana win. On the Pandava side, the only one who could oppose Karna was Arjuna, but even he knew that fighting Karna directly was certain death. Just before the battle Arjuna's father, Indra the Thunder God, who understood that Karna could not be hurted, stole his golden armour. But even if Karna could be killed now, he hadn't left the battlefield. (This was so stupid. WHY HADN'T YOU LEFT?! Everything would end good and I wouldn't cry! Yes, everything ends really bad and this means my death as well. Wait I already don't have a soul.) Indra was really surprised so he asked Karna why he decided to stay and fight. He saw the divinity of Surya himself in Karna and gave him his spear even if it would help him fight his own son. Then, Karna could wield the greatest spear, that Indra had not given even to his own son. (Look how amazing my boy is, he event touches gods. I couldn't be more proud of him. What? No, Im not crying right now. You're crying. I SAID IM NOT CRYING.) At the final battle with Arjuna, Karna was already without his allies who betrayed him (HOW DARE YOU. Wait a minute, Im taking a trip to another world just to deal with those traitors.) This was the largest battle in this war or even more. Both of them were at their limits. The string of Arjuna's bow was nearly destroyed. But the end came. And Arjuna shoot down the sun. (Give me another minute. Yeah, Im crying right now. I can't take writing about death of the boy that gives me will to live. He just means more than everything to me, okay. And even writing that in this blog makes me really emotional. And my music in background kills me more ;____; I will add it so you can listen to this beautiful song as well. Sung by another angel who I love. Okay, time to calm down and finish writing this. Today's saturday so new episode of Fate/Apocrypha is aring AND I CAN SEE MY BOY ALIVE. This gives me hope.) It is said that after his death, Karna became one with his father Surya and sun. The hero who while possessing high abilities, was the enemy of his brothers by blood, received various curses, and lost his life without showing his true worth. That's Karna. You know what is sad? Arjuna didn't knew that Karna was his brother. The only ones who had this information were Kunti, Karna and Surya. And I think that's all. History of best boy who I love more than anything else. Im actually really happy that I could show you this story. I know that it looks really weird and psycho but from my perspective it is completely normal. Im just living surrounded by another nerds who likes that stupic Chinese cartoons and we're taking stories of our favourites characters that emotionally. Weird for others, normal for us. I don't think this is bad. If that makes us happy then it's good. Even if sometimes we cry over those characters, our love for them makes us happier than anything else~ Yeah, that's really everything I wanted to write in this post. I don't know who'll I write about next but expect that post to be weird as well. Expect all this blog to be strange. All I can tell for now it's that I won't dissapoint you with writing something normal! See ya! PS Karna dies at end of Fate/Apocrypha which is airing now and slowly comes to end so be prepared that when I won't come to school, this means Im already dead and you can buy flowers for my grave.

Teej And Rakhi
Enjoy the Swing of Monsoon with Teej and Rakhi
 1. Hariyali Teej or Choti Teej (Saturday, 3rd August 2019)
 2. Kajari Teej or Badi Teej (Sunday, 18th August 2019)
 3. Haritalika Teej (Sunday, 1st September 2019)
