oh my god. i made like three posts to this account and then dipped i apologize. i've been using the internet less and less anyway so it's not surprising but also haven't really drawn a lot so meh. anyway here's some random two more eggs/homestar runner doodles (and some yapping about them under the cut)

i've been wanting to start a youtube channel for a while and i think if i do i'm gonna use hot dip as my avatar (while making it abundantly clear he's not my character ofc) because. blob man. he's literally me. hence why he's wearing a sloshy jacket too it represents both of the things i can't shut up about

and hector and kovitch are supposed to be a young adult version/outfit type deal, where hector is in a sloshy jacket (i drew him first before the hot dip one lol i am not good at outfit design) as a reference to homestar. originally in the sketch kovitch was gonna wear a taranchula shirt but then i realized oh wait panda bractice is right there. i think they would both go to concerts with each other even if they hate the band just because the other likes them

completely irrelevant fun fact that somewhat influenced my older kovitch design: the youtube upload descriptions use he/him for kovitch in buy this game but she/her in the sleepover series and i know that was definitely just a mistake on disney's part but i like interpreting it as kovitch being transfem. i might be the only person in the world with this headcanon and it is based on a mistake but oh well. not enough people know about this series enough to get mad about any headcanons i have for it so i have free reign (/j)

also a small page of homestar runner doodles i made while incredibly incredibly tired. like i woke up from a nap and my sketchbook was in front of me. in my state i correctly clocked that coach z would go to hell but not strong bad which is interesting. not sure the choice behind him and homsar being angels but oh well. i like homestar sitting in the grass drinking iced coffee though that's the most tranquil thing i've ever drawn

Obscure Animation Subject #125: Two More Eggs

Created, produced and directed by Homestar Runner creators The Brothers Chaps for Disney Television Animation, a web series Disney XD’s YouTube lasting from June 23, 2015 to August 16, 2017.

This is a sketch comedy that features a verity of series. These series include a live action man who makes arts and crafts, a series of standard video game enemies breaking the rules of their game, a mom vlogger with terrible instructions, a parody of British children's shows, a supposed CGI show about the wonders of the technique, and a whole lot more! Two More Eggs relies on surreal humor and satire. How you like this style of comedy depends on what you think of the execution of the skits. Like for a good example, I think Trauncles is a neat series that goes against a regular British program and has the normally polite British narrator mess around and poke fun with the characters and even pick favorites. For a bad example, well… there's CGI Palz. It’s not very funny and should have been a one off short. The randomness doesn’t always land, and for every good short there’s bound to be a bad one.

In Season 2, it started out not too different from Season 1, but later down the line the shorts felt lazier and dry. There are a lot of episodes where nothing really happens and you feel like you wasted your time, even with its short length. The novelty was starting to wear off to where even the good shows I liked I started to not care for very much. Thankfully Season 3 was an improvement. It’s ten episodes long and just stories of Hector & Kovitch and the new series Panda Bractice which got their own 5 parters. I already liked the Hector & Kovitch skits beforehand and the Panda Bractice weren’t funny in particular but were cute and charming enough even if on the basic side. So as a whole this season was decent, but I do prefer the highs in Seasons 1 and 2 more.

So this show went from average, to kinda bad, and then became alright in the end. Kinda a mixed-bag I suppose. I wonder if Disney would ever experiment something like this again. The general quality was very hit or miss but I was delightfully entertained by it for the most part.

i've been poking through my tumblr archive for 2017 because i honest to god just kinda blocked that whole year out of my memory for um... reasons. and apparantly i made my panda bractice animations, my pumpkin girl half-short, AND an intro for a short my friend made in the span of that one year. THREE animation projects in one year. holy shit. part of me kind of wants that artistic motivation back, but i also spent that year doing horribly in school, drinking way too much vodka, and posting every other weekend about how i wished i was dead. so maybe i don't want that, actually

Here's some stuff from a dream I had that I wish I shared:

A weird version of the Two More Eggs episode "Game Show". In it, Twicetimes was one of the contestants instead of Michael Abraham Johannson, and at the end of the episode, Dooble was in his bathtub, wearing sunglasses. Disturbingly, Twicetimes was in Dooble's bathroom, watching him take his bath, and Dooble immediately jumped out of the tub to do a puppet show for William.

Something about Dooble wearing a strange-looking necklace in one short, and a person online making Panda Bractice fan art.

A fake Camp Camp special where some of the kids forced Nurf to lose weight, but he ended up gaining it back by the end of the special.

And I thought my July 6 dream was weird...

In this one, my parents and I were staying at... "Camp Gorimondo"? I'm not sure why my subconscious decided to name a camp after a boss from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Anyway, at one point Mixmand gave me her phone, and I eventually stumbled upon a compilation of fake Two More Eggs clips, though all I remember the first time I watched it were some shenanigans involving Dependo News (y'know, from that one episode of Dooble).

Later in the dream, we were walking down the hill, but I forgot to put my shoes on again, and it was a very hot day, so naturally I felt pain from the hot ground, then yelled at Mixmand (Jaiklob was cooking something, so he probably didn't go downhill with us), much to her chagrin. I then suggested that I get possessed by the spirit of a dead book author. Strangely, J.K. Rowling (who is still alive, mind you) was among the choices, but I initially opted for H.P. Lovecraft (who actually is dead). We then went into a desert at night and entered a temple. We waited for a dead author spirit to possess me, but then I said I wanted to be possessed by Dooble. And then the scene abruptly cut to me sleeping with a cat and a cantankerous man (who was implied to be Lovecraft himself). I woke up to get something, but the man told me to shut up and go back to sleep.

Eventually, Mixmand, Jaiklob and I came back to Camp Gorimondo, and I stole Mixmand's phone again to rewatch the Two More Eggs compilation. There were a few new clips, but most of them made little sense. The compilation's intro showed Marta from Panda Bractice swallowing Libby whole, then in turn getting swallowed by Glennis. Then the series logo crushed Glennis. Another clip showed a blue M&M (what?!?) being pressured into ruining a Grand Prix. When the ruination plan failed, he decided to fix some broken water pipes. Yet another clip was about a severe heat wave in a city.

There was also a TV Tropes-related bit, but I'd rather not talk about it...
