when i adopted them, panboy was the outgoing and friendly kitten and lyra was more timid and slow to warm up and now pan hides from plumbers under the bed while lyra rolls in the hallway trying to get their attention and i can only conclude i cursed them with those names

#context: lyra is a protagonist in his dark materials and their daemons represent facets of their person. lyra is brash and bold and her #daemon pan is more nervous and cautious #pan has still been praised by vets for being a big sweety tho. he doesnt like unauthorised ppl in the house or walking past #i feel lightly guilty because i am also hella anxious and hide from people in the house when possible like oh no i am teaching them my bad #habits.
