Adult Dave that I've also forgot to post ages ago, but I'm doing it now. It's kind of a shame, bc I have 5/6 of the DaveJade fam, but my Jade is sadly still in sketch form. Similarly to Feferi, he also has some color-coding of his quadrants - Jade is the most obvious, but his shoelaces are teal and cerulean, bc I kinda vibed with pale Daverezi and pale Davevris, so I figured out why not both, and I ended up liking it a lot. He's wearing this camera just for the aesthetics, he holds his actual, proffesional one in his sylladex. He's an archeologist in the same team with Aradia, and they internally lose it every time the artifact is something they left behind for kicks. Also he totally chets at cooking with his time powers.

what is your opinion on my favorite ship john x dave x karkat (davekat is pale or platonic i havent decided yet) and some johndirk johnrose daverezi jaderose davejade and roxygen on the side (also roseroxy <3)

JohnDaveKat is the OT3. Like their dynamic in the memo shows how each one bounces off one another. It's so funny that I wish we had more like that instead of the uwu soft boi bullshit. It's like nu-fandom these days can't joke around without thinking it's hurting someone. JohnDirk - May like it if it's in kismesis, but that's my slight bias because of the shit Epilogues and HS2/Beyond Canon has set up Dirk as the bad guy. He could probably get along well with him since he's like Dave in some regard. Daverezi - Love them coolkids! They act so funny and sweet around each other. I miss them sharing shitpost art. Now we don't get that. :( JadeRose - Could work and explored more of their friendship first to build up a slow romance. Maybe Rose could find Jade's perky nature and silliness just as cute and play along with her like she had with John. DaveJade - OTP. The true couple of Homestuck. Better than Davekat. They had built up so much together since the early acts. I believe this was the true endgame by [S] Collide. Anything after it is not canon. Roxygen - Despite thinking it is just a consolation prize for JohnRose, I think it's also cute too. At least John gets a hot mom. But seriousness, they are sweet around each other. John could help Roxy to not drink less, show she is loved, and not feel so lonely anymore. RoseRoxy - Hot Moms all around. Both reconcile with each other about their alt versions a nd help fix the mistakes to be better.

OH i saw you were rating ships umm. opinions on jaderezi and pale davejade ? if you dont mind me asking :]

mod dave here! jaderezi is immaculate, like seriously who put these kind of drugs into wlw homestuck ships water that make them all so good? that being said, these two have the possibility for a very fun dynamic (even though i don't remember if they actually canonically interacted) and i feel like it goes hand in hand with neprezi/jadenep, where they would also both roleplay. and theyre also both kinda nerds, terezi with her scalemates and jade with those octopus things i can't remember the name of, so that's fun (dunno why i just pictured a bed with so many plushies that you can barely get in it). all in all a solid 8/10! pale davejade could be really interesting. i don't think they, in canon as humans, would ever label their relationship as pale/moirail-y but i think that's probably my favourite quadrant to put them in, both for the funny of them not knowing what moiraillegance really is whilst encapsulating it perfectly and because they do have similar traumas that they can bond and help each other come to terms with (both having a guardian who taught them violence from a young age). i think this is really cute, 9/10!

ok so hear me out: what is the pitch quadrant, really?

it's about hate, yes, but not just any hate. most hate is pedestrian, violent, you wouldn't care if the one you hate dies, in many cases you actively strive for it.

but caliginous feelings are not that. it's hate, yes, but hate rooted in *frustration* because the target of your hate could be so much *better*. it's anger at the way they're wasting their potential. to be pitch is to be rivals in the existential sense. you want the other to better themselves so they can keep up. a healthy kismessitude improves both parties

now look at jade and dave; they definitely care for eachother but they frustrate eachother as well. both closed off in different ways. i see these 2 *forcing* eachother open for their own good, and they both hate it, and they hate eachother for being like that, exactly *because* they care. it's not tough love, it's soft hate. i see them occasionally vaccilating pale as well. but fundamentally they're pitch. a cagey douche and a chronic people-pleaser sick of eachother's shit. because they want the other to be better. because they care

(also this would eventually lead to *dove's* egg cracking in the situation im envisioning but that's a different can of worms altogether)
