So this week mon-wed will be working on art
But Thursday is helldiver's 2 release, and I'll be playing with not only nevahwins
But also palarax and alesend
Two dragon furrys I've known for about ten years and we used to play games all the time when I was in highschool and college
But then my last job changed my schedule so I couldn't play with em anymore and it's been like 5 years and I'm so excited to get to play with my friends again ;3; I've missed them
And we played the first helldiver's together so this is even better
Was messaging them after not talking for awhile and just like "you guys wanna play this OwO"
Happy dragon noises

Some old animations from last year, but the theme seemed to work for this year too.

So I recently started supporting @humblegoatart’s patreon (and you should really go so the same) and here are the first two monthly patron sketches they did for me! Of course I opted for D&D characters first so here’s Bakara and Rila!!

hey look I got a drawing of Elsan! It was done by Brindle over on FA, who has also drawn Warren. This is technically a little “off-model”, her upper body should all be broader and larger and the shape of her head is different, but it’s okay, I don’t really have a solid reference sheet for her and I wasn’t able to actually make the stream that this was drawn in. It’s okay because I like seeing people’s different styles and takes on characters anyway.

congrats on reaching max level, and what's probably the culmination of a long campaign! If I may ask, what type of fighter is Rila? Have any other character's you're adventuring with?
Thank you! Yeah the campaign only has about 2 sessions left and it’s been a wild ride. Rila Urkbahr-Valensis is a Tabaxi Arcane Archer fighter and also the goodest of girls
And I definitely have some other characters I’m playing at the moment!
Bakara Kovosh Palarax was a Dragonborn Paladin, Oath of Ancients. I say “was” however because that campaign really did not go very well, specifically for Bakara, and in the last session I played her she broke her Oath. I was thinking about doing like a redemption plot where she finds her Ideals again, but the game went on hiatus and I honestly don’t think I’ll play her again even when it does come back. It was causing me too much stress to play a character I really liked but not having fun doing it.
Since that campaign is on hiatus we’ve started up a new campaign in that group, in which I am playing the Oni-Tiefling Monk named Revikah! She’s only level 1 and I’m not sure which monk archetype I’m gonna go for at lvl 3 yet, still really discovering this character
the campaign I’m playing Rila in is drawing to a close soon obviously, but we’ve already started planning for the following campaign, and I’ve decided to play my Kobold Cleric, Trinket! She’ll be starting at level 3 and I’m torn between the Life, Light, or Grave Domains.
In a game I play online with my partner and some friends I am playing the Shoran Sorcerer Soe! Shoran are a homebrew race of otter people created by the DM @orc-sign-language and Soe is a Draconic Ancestry sorcerer, thus the red scales poking thru her fur! She’s (literally and figuratively) a bit of a firebrand, outspoken and fiercely loyal to her Partner and Boyfriend, the other two members of the party

1, 2, 5, 6, 9, 16, 19
1). The first Race and 2). The first Class I ever playedDavlannan Palarax, Dragonborn Rogue!5). Favorite Raceprobably Dragonborn or Tabaxi cuz I’m furry trash lol6). Favorite ClassThat’s tougher cuz there are so many great ones! I’ve really grown to like Paladin, I think tanky half-casters are my jam. Also monks!9). Funniest thing anyone has said during a game?Oh man I dunno that’s a really tough one, I’ve been playing for so long too16). Favorite spell?Oof there’s so many but there is a special place in my heart for Melf’s Minute Meteors19). What level do you as a player prefer to start at?Hmm well that really depends on what kind of characters and story we’re starting with ya know? If the characters are fairly fresh but aren’t fresh off the farm, they’re supposed to have a bit of experience under their belts, then I like level 3 as a starting point. Everyone has more than single digit HP and their class Archetypes already set. If we’re going for more badass characters to start (but still expect a long campaign) maybe level 5-7 but I think that’s the highest I’d start outside of one-shots/limited runs

K new D&D character is set I think
Bakara Kovosh Palarax, Female Dragonborn Paladin (Oath of Ancients). Young, maybe about 19. Tall, broad shouldered, and muscular. Bronze scales and bright, light purple eyes. Grey Plate armor, dark green cloak over one shoulder. Wields a Glaive. Brash, bold, confident, and positive, always tackling situations with a hearty laugh and broad smile. Bakara loves fighting, especially for a righteous cause (but let’s be honest she just loves fighting, period), and protecting others around her.
Bakara is an Initiate for the Order of Arkhosian Wardens, an order of elite warriors founded by New Arkhosia’s Empress, Elsan, that are trained to use the power of nature in their combat. A requirement before Initiates can be considered full Wardens is to go on a Journey of their own, to travel and adventure, to meet and work with other people, and learn from their experience. This is meant to mirror Elsan’s own journey she took before reunifying the Empire, only once you learn how other solve their problems can you properly be ready to serve your own people.
So Bakara is on this Pilgrimage, eager for the adventure and to prove herself a worthy warrior. At the start of the campaign she will be traveling and pit-fighting for money (and just cuz she loves sparring), waiting for the right adventure to cross her path...
