Skincare is a habit , and it is somehow linked with our mental health and perception of selfcare . ⠀⠀ Why we don’t consider it important after having kids especially in Pakistan ? There could be so many reasons of neglecting ourselves but I’m just highlighting the main things ⠀⠀ 1- cultural pressure , elders start reminding you the responsibilities of motherhood and share the most horrific stories and sacrifices of their times which can leave a profound impact on your mind and in a result you fail to affirm yourself that selfcare /you is even more important at this stage . ⠀⠀ 2- Don’t be too busy in being people pleaser , believing in that the more you do you will get appreciated, take a deep breathe here , at this stage you need to set certain boundaries , you need to balance out your time for family , kids and yourself . So yes make a routine for yourself , set your particular time for cooking , cleaning , washing etc etc you can’t spend whole day just in kitchen or in washing , simply you can’t ... ⠀⠀ 3- Don’t put yourself down the list , when it’s all about YOU. Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty cup. ⠀⠀ It seems we have difficulty taking time for ourselves and prioritizing self care.
