Pakistan Outplay Namibia To Book Semi Final Slot 

T20 World Cup - Super 12 - Group 2 - Pakistan vs Namibia - Abu Dhabi 

Pakistan cruised into the semi finals of the T20 World Cup with yet another one-sided victory in the tournament, this time outplaying Namibia by 45 runs in their group 2 match in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday night.

The contest was made so easy by Pakistan's opening pair of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan who secured their second century partnership in the tournament by posting 113 runs for the first wicket before Azam was out for 70 in the second ball of the 14th over.

Rizwan continued the onslaught after the dismissal of Azam and remained unbeaten on 79 from 50 balls with eight fours and four sixes as Pakistan made their highest total of 189 for 2 in the group stage.

To add insult to injury Mohammad Hafeez chipped with a quick-fire 32 in 16 balls that devastated what was left of the Namibian bowlers. There was no way Namibia could have reached the target for anything in the world against one of the strongest bowling batteries in the tournament and the results soon showed when Hasan Ali bowled opener Michael van Lingen for 4 in the third ball of the second over.

The most Namibia could have done was bat out the 20 overs which they did to make a total of 144 for the loss of five wickets with David Wiese scoring 43 in 31 balls with three fours and two sixes while Craig Williams made 40 in 37 balls with five fours and a six.

Pakistan are left with one more match in the group stage against bottom-of-the-table Scotland and could end up in a position where they will meet either South Africa or Australia in one of the semi-finals.
