I have a question, what made you ship Six and Tang in the first place?

eeeeeegh well it all started by me readin @/inkweaver22-blr fanfic on ao3, the scattered cicadas (which you can read herest! <3) i just kinda found it cute, the power dynamics between the two intrigued me (there's a lot of possible drama with 'em bein an immortal who doesn't wanna be alone n a mortal who's def gon die on u buddy, u're gon get fucked up monkey boy) and i was like "Weh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i sure ain't gon be shippin SH@DOWPEACH of all things, i'm gon be a spiteful bitch n ship THIS rarepair instead cuz it's effectively harmless n stupid"

but here's the thing. i do Not ship with the heart unTIL i can see that this specific dynamic between the characters is going to make them Develop in a Specific way that i want them to venompeach is canon to fruit twins, but das cuz bestie really likes the ship, i don't personally get it. dragonfruit is canon to fruit twins, but das cuz my sister really likes them like that, i find them cute but ngl imaginin Red as the big tired bro to Xiaotian n Xiaojiao makes my braincells go brrr more. INKYPAGES however is the ONE SHIP that's PURELY just me goin hog wild for my own fruit twins story brainrot benefits

what makes me ship them more "seriously" (i dont think shippin should ever be taken too seriously but yanno what i mean) is that by pairin them up, Six's faults become more visible. Tang elevates them into the light n therefore forces Six to confront them head on if Six cares any for his relationship with Tang and for His Own development as a person (which he should be carin for since this is an au with redemption for him). Tang is effectively a flashlight against his shadows, he can't Hide anymore when Tang is around

then there's the tastiness of the immortal n mortal thing i've mentioned up there, im a weak bitch for "incredibly powerful being bends to the comfort of the weaker one entirely out of their love for the weaker one" n also imaginin Tang gettin to boss Six around a bit, chase him with a chancla or a broom n chastisize him for shit without havin to be afraid Once is a lot of fun in my head. also with Six bein a curious lil nerd bitch in FT, they get to nerd out together

i don't like them in a, for exmaple, brother relationship cuz i feel like That's something they cannot really achieve after what Six pulled durin shadow play (and what he pulls durin FT!s3). a brotherhood relationship is, in my eyes, way too high up, above romantic relationship n they just can't reach that. also it just doesn't vibe with me. n friends is nice but yanno they don't get those Specific type of feelings, chemistry n stuff like romantic partners would
