Today's polish was not my favorite. I bought this one in September of 2022. It came in the mail and I looked at it, went "meh," and it has sat in my untrieds ever since. I'm honestly not sure why I bought it except that I had JUST started buying indie polishes and I didn't know what I liked yet. I will say I like how it turned green at extreme angles. Other than that, this one was a miss for me. This is Sunsets in the Woods from Paint It Pretty Polish.

Today's polish was very highly recommended by a swatcher I love on YouTube and while I think it's nice, I don't like it as much as I thought I would. It's a very pretty polish with a sheer blue base and gold to orange to pink shimmer. But I was expecting a level of shiftiness to it that I didn't get. I think I might have liked it more if I hadn't been expecting so much from it. lol This is Rainbow Hair from Paint it Pretty Polish.

so much to update!!!! - firstly, these are not my natural nails but they are growing under the acrylic haha.

growing my nails (a journey) 💅

UPDATE #1

I successfully avoided biting my nails for 10 days now! having dark nail polish on really helped me not to hyper focus on the length and shape of the nails + it didn’t ruin them as much as using nail glue would have.

the other day tho I had to remove it because it was coming off by itself and since I’m not home I’ll have to wait to put some nail polish back on (or buy one).

my nails look short still but they’re functional, I can open cans and separate book pages with them (which I couldn’t do before) but 4 of them broke and are now shorter because of how brittle they were.

I’m still happy with my results so far because they’re not painfully short anymore so I can do my daily activities.. I have all the time in the world to get them to be pretty too:)

do any of the iau boys ever do Calvin and Hobbes type stuff, like nailing the coffee table for fun for example?

Oh probably, they're all chaotic for sure. Malon can usually keep them somewhat in line, but nobody's perfect. Wind Wild and Legend seem to me like the ones most likely to do that kind of thing (I mean, I did have Legend jump off a roof once)

I'd probably give them some of my personal childhood crimes, such as dumping vaseline on a wooden floor and proceeding to skate around on it, being told to stay upstairs and instead sitting on the steps and sloooowly moving down them. Dragging a trike to the top of the hill we lived on and riding it down, and wearing giant holes in my socks because the only way to stop was to drag your feet on the sidewalk (and who wants to wear shoes?)

also maybe the time our grumpy neighbors called the police on us lol
