IJMS, Vol. 25, Pages 6667: Roles of the Arabidopsis KEULE Gene in Postembryonic Development
Cytokinesis in plant cells begins with the fusion of vesicles that transport cell wall materials to the center of the cell division plane, where the cell plate forms and expands radially until it fuses with the parental cell wall. Vesicle fusion is facilitated by trans-SNARE complexes, with assistance from Sec1/Munc18 (SM) proteins. The SNARE protein KNOLLE and the SM protein KEULE are required for membrane fusion at the cell plate. Due to the crucial function of KEULE, all Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) keule mutants identified to date are seedling lethal. Here, we identified the Arabidopsis serrata4-1 (sea4-1) and sea4-2 mutants, which carry recessive, hypomorphic alleles of KEULE. Homozygous sea4-1 and sea4-2 plants are viable and fertile but have smaller rosettes and fewer leaves at bolting than the wild type. Their leaves are serrated, small, and wavy, with a complex venation pattern. The mutant leaves also develop necrotic patches and undergo premature senescence. #RNA-seq revealed transcriptome changes likely leading to reduced cell wall integrity and an increase in the unfolded protein response. Eastern Kentucky has been affected by historic and devastating flooding this July. Somewhere between 35-40 people are dead. This post is designed to compile information for the relief efforts. It will be edited and updated as new information is made available to me, so if you see this post and want to reblog it, please click on my profile and reblog directly from my page in case I have edited or updated the post! Please message me with questions.

Below is a compiled list of some donation funds for the 2022 Eastern KY flood relief efforts. Please look through these or look into any of these organizations to decide if you are comfortable donating.

Volunteering:
If you are local to the area, please consider a donation of your time. There is a lot of work that needs done and a lot of people needed to do it. You will lose access to clean water, so bring your own. You will need to find your own accommodations if you stay overnight as we are housing many displaced residents already.
Hazard, KY is looking for volunteers to help clean out debris and houses daily. Crews are leaving from the Forum 101 Bulldog Lane at 8am, 10am, and 12pm. You must be over 18. This is physically demanding work. Just show up at the Forum before noon. Bring your own water and food. Long pants and boots required. Tetanus shot recommended. (And if you know a house that needs this service, contact: 606-268-0896)

After Vriska lost her arm, part of what she says to Terezi sort of implies that highbloods have more blood than lowbloods, or at least they can survive losing a larger portion of their total blood.
With an injury that bad, and given how much she typed before that (with one hand too, a lot slower than normal), she must have lost a truly impressive amount before it was even enough to remark on. She’s standing in a puddle of it in the picture --we only see the part to her right, but the blood’s coming out of her left side so there must be a huge amount obscured behind the desk for it to pool up like that.

Hey its me, the high blood pressure anon. I was trying to say that all the trolls seem to produce a lot of blood and still live (terezi, i think, produced a CRAP ton of blood before john fixed everything) but thats another way to look at it!
Terezi was too god damn determined to die even while dripping blood from every orifice of her face, the poor thing. Someone should calculate the volume of blood just like, sprayed and smeared through the entirety of Homestuck.

Today I would like to touch base on a very sensitive issue, suicide. Included in this post is a vast amount of information and resources for those who are either contemplating it themselves or may know someone who is, so that they can get help! Suicide is a devastating act both for the person taking their life and for the ones left behind. It is truly heartbreaking when a person gets so far gone that they feel the only way out and the only way to end their suffering is by taking their own life! A lot of people think that this is a selfish act but in my opinion they would be wrong. Yes it is hurtful to know that someone would rather die than stay with us but the fact of the matter is that they are not being selfish, in fact in the minds of many suicidal people they are unburdening other people with their presence by removing the burden all together. Yes that is an extraordinarily skewed view to have on oneself unfortunately it is not uncommon... The problem is that most suicidal people do not give signs that they are considering it, so it makes it very difficult to know that someone you love or care about is feeling this way. There are some warning signs Loss of interest in what used to be favorite activities Tired all the time No interest in going out or meeting up with friends or family/creating excuses as to why they can't Potential self-harm or extremely risky behavior Giving away things that are known to be very important to them such as Animal Companions or personal memorabilia These are not all the signs and a lot of the times they won't even display these particular signs. The best you can do is monitor their behavior, if someone you know has become even more withdrawn it is time to intervene and find out what's causing the disassociation!
