College!Au of Shepherd members? What likely are they (i.e. jock, player in the soccer team, bad-boy, the clichès.)? definitely not thinking of writing an au, and im certainly not thinking of maybe making a small edit about it. nOt aT aLl cApTAiN

Hi there! Have you seen the college AU asks? This one is pretty detailed about what kind of students they are, and this one is more succinct with their majors/minors! But I’m always happy to go more in-depth about AUs! 😉

In my imagination, Blade, Trouble, and Chase were suite-mates freshman year and get an apartment together when they’re not living on campus. (Halek, Red, and Riel are also roommates and then Riel can’t stand living in a dorm anymore so he buys a townhome with his family’s money and allows Halek and Red to live there to give himself some semblance of a social life.)

Blade is the scion of a very wealthy family who’s expected to take over the family business one day. Instead he majors in Criminal Justice and--in my imagination--secretly aims to become either a detective or a prosecutor because he suspects his family is involved with criminal organizations. He’s generally quiet, solemn, broody, and troubled (just like in the game lol) and is only dragged out to do “normal” college things by Trouble and Chase’s persistence! He’s in the fencing club and also goes to a mixed martial arts gym off-campus, sometimes with Trouble, which also happens to be the one Briony goes to.

Trouble is in ROTC and majors in mechanical engineering, with dreams of joining the Air Force and becoming a pilot after graduation if he can keep his grades up. For some reason I have this idea that he got into this university on a soccer scholarship? He plays guitar and later gets a dog because fuck it, he’s always wanted one, and he’s rebuilding an old motorcycle in his spare time at this garage where his old school friends work. He definitely wears bomber jackets and letterman jackets like, a lot. He’s very popular and considered a “jock,” but a friendly one! He has an English class with Red and a math class with Riel, going to both of their study groups and then driving them crazy because he either doodles instead of studying or texts. Part-time, I feel like he delivers pizzas for some reason...

Chase is the third part of their trio and is more lax about his studies than the other two (which is a bad influence on Trouble). He does not talk at all about his family or home life and generally spends the holidays with either Blade or Trouble’s families. He’s an undeclared major and has no idea what he wants to do after college and is not worrying about it. He pays smart kids to do his homework for him, so he has an excellent GPA, much to the class president’s (Riel) fury. He’s part of a frat but doesn’t actually drink at parties, more concerned that everyone’s having a good time and making fun memories than he is about himself. He doesn’t allow any scummy behavior in the frat and secretly, on a whim, auditioned for a student play and is surprisingly very into it, to the point where he asks Briony and Trouble for help with his lines. After throwing a huge party where [x] happens, he starts a group chat with everybody involved in this story and it’s sort of how they all become friends, even though many of them already knew each other individually. Oh, and he’s very into Tinder, much to the chagrin of his other two roommates.

I think Briony, Ayla, and Lavinet are also roommates, and so are Shery, Tallys, and Mimir. Briony-Ayla-Lavinet’s place (BAL? Brionaylavi?) is Party Central, whereas Shery-Tallys-Mimir’s place (STM? Shallir?) is Quiet Coffee-Drinking Art Loft Sometimes Hipster Slam Poetry Book Clubs Central.

Briony is either a journalism student or a law student, I can’t really decide. She takes a lot of extracurriculars at their university as a way to blow off steam, including a painting class (which is where she met Shery) and a horseback riding class, because why not? She has been training at the same mixed martial arts gym since she was a teenager, and she starts bringing Ayla and Lavinet there so they can defend themselves when they’re not altogether. Despite her cheerful attitude and popularity around campus, she seems to be running from a past back in her hometown that she doesn’t talk to anyone about, not even her closest friends: an obsessive ex and a dark past are just some of the things she doesn’t want catching up to her. Sometimes she earns part-time money covering shifts at the cafe Shery works at.

Ayla is a journalism/communications student who will later switch majors to hospitality and hate it. She gives wilderness tours and white-water-rafting tours in the summers as a seasonal job and plays volleyball on the university team during the spring seasons and track and field during the fall. Her grades are abysmal and she goes to the tutoring center often for help, which is how she meets Red and Riel. She rides a Vespa around town and also attends the yoga class that Tallys teaches. Yes she wears leather jackets and occasionally beanies. She was too cheap to a buy a meal plan at the university cafeteria so she often skims from others or uses their extra meals before the week runs out. She is a lover of junk food and crams their apartment pantry with all manner of chips, soda, ramen, packaged mac and cheese, and etc! She also definitely games.

Lavinet is a wealthy socialite daughter of the CEO and founder of a huge conglomerate: think a Paris Hilton, but more grounded. She’s majoring in business and political science, being groomed to take over her father’s role, but she wants a taste of “normal” life before that happens. All of her rich friends from high school thinks she’s slumming it with the other kids, but Lavinet’s having the time of her life. She tries not to stand out too much, but she unconsciously does, anyway: wearing designer coats and sunglasses to class, driving a flashy convertible, and keeping her books in a high-end handbag, because backpacks are “schlubby.” She means well but can sometimes be a bit of a drama queen to her roommates. She also loves juicy gossip and eats it up! She has been known to take her roommates’ phones and flirt for them with potential dates. She has a popular vlog and Instagram account, which I imagine is how Briony’s dark past catches up to her. She loves to get coffee at the shop that Shery and sometimes Briony work at and always seems to have a latte in her hand. She can point at any given person and name what lipstick they would be if they were one. She’s fairly good at her studies and loves to be in charge of study groups and gets into a war with another girl who tries to ‘poach’ her study partners. She absolutely takes French and fashion design classes and heads all over campus turn when she walks past!

Red, Riel, and Halek live in what is known as the “Nerd House.” Red is pretty much always at coffee shops and libraries, studying and reading, so much so that he doesn’t notice multiple other students checking him out in his rolled-up sweater sleeves and messenger bag. He’s got a bit of an “Academic Hipster” vibe and definitely has hipster tastes in music and books. He goes to poetry readings at cafes (of which Mimir is a staple) and goes on a lot of first dates that don’t lead anywhere, giving him the reputation of either a really picky person or a playboy. Does he wear glasses? Absolutely. Is it because he needs them? Probably not. On some subconscious level he is probably aware that he looks smart and cute in them. Sometimes he plays pickup soccer with Trouble’s practice team (he played in high school) when he realizes he’s been sitting around too long reading and needs to get some blood pumping! He studies philosophy and history as a double-major.

Riel is the class president and later valedictorian of their class. He majors in math, business and finance, history, and psychology as one of the university’s only “quadruple majors”. He comes from an extremely wealthy family that has donated so much money to the school that many of the buildings have his last name on them. Occasionally he volunteers at the tutoring center, where his worst and most rebellious student is Ayla, who he vows to break. You can often find him in the music building, reserving one of the practice rooms to play beautiful classical piano, which he doesn’t like to play at home with his roommates around. He abhors eating or studying outside because, mysteriously, every time he walks through the quad, a frisbee hits him in the head. He is the head of a business fraternity that is constantly being pranked by Chase’s frat.

Halek initially attended their university as a Food Science major, but dropped out and now attends the culinary arts institute across the street. (His twin brother, Naolin, goes to a prestigious university across the country and is studying to become a doctor.) He works as a barista at the cafe where Shery and sometimes Briony work as servers: the one with sleepy eyes that you end up spilling your life story to when you sit at the counter to drink your frappe and study. Plays the drums in a band that performs at open-mic nights and owns a tank of fish. In class he was constantly falling asleep at his desk but has no trouble now. Definitely smokes weed in his room occasionally and has a litany of tattoos up and down his forearms and hands (and for that matter, Ayla does too).

Finally, the Art Loft trio, Tallys, Shery, and Mimir, who definitely have a garden on their roof and hang their clothes up to dry in the sun up there, which Lavinet for whatever reason refers to as their “solarium.”

Tallys is a plant biology major who aims to be recruited into the country’s top holistic/nature-based pharmaceutical company. She teaches yoga outside of class to make money (and Ayla and sometimes Lavinet attend her morning classes). For whatever reason I feel like she smokes and looks really freaking cool doing it but decides to quit after a relative has a cancer scare. She enjoys classical music and plays the violin when she can. She is shares cooking duties with Shery and picks her up from her job at the cafe so she doesn’t have to walk home at night, leading many to mistakenly assume they’re girlfriends. She constantly has AirPods/earphones in, listening to music, and rarely speaks to others outside of class. Strangely, she owns a flip phone and owns no social media.

Shery is a nursing student who loves to cook and bake as a hobby. She’s a natural introvert and prefers to stay in with her roommates, watching TV while she embroiders, or something, but one day she decides she wants to be more social and that’s how she befriends Halek and Briony. She owns a cat who rules the roost in their apartment as well as a hamster. She keeps detailed diaries and also writes poetry, but is too shy to share it with anyone, including Mimir, her roommate who’s an art major. She always wears pastels and very cute clothing and is a straight-A student. Her parents are pretty stingy so she works at a coffee shop, the Haven, as a way to earn money. She’s also helping with costume design for Chase’s play and rides a bike to campus and to work. She’s close with her professors and often visits them during office hours just to chat.

Mimir is an art student who’s making a big splash in the local scene, as she’s regarded as something of a young genius for her bizarre slam poetry and cryptic, surrealistic paintings. She often does readings at the Haven coffee shop during open-mic nights, and she constantly wears a hoodie, even to class. She paints her nails black and rocks that goth artist aesthetic, complete with dark eye makeup and black lipstick. She rarely speaks, but when she does, it’s usually to say something startlingly-insightful or incredibly mysterious. She feeds birds in the main quad on campus, to the point where they recognize her and will fly to her hand. She smells constantly of incense and can sometimes be seen rummaging around in trash cans on campus for her art installations. There is a mysterious cloaked figure on campus who rides a unicycle while blowing on bagpipes that also spew fire that everyone thinks is her, and she only smiles and fades away when anyone asks.

dahyun doesn’t think much of it at first. barely even notices the difference anyway because mina’s hair has always been so dark.

dahyun’s world had been black and white all her life, she didn’t notice when it had begun to change.

first, it was mina’s hair.

it’s pretty impossible to not be looking at mina’s hair all hours of the day, if she’s being honest.

dahyun watches a row behind in their advanced algorithms lecture. their professor had been going over some data structural problems and was enthusiastically expanding more in-depth about splay trees. or it might have been splay trees. dahyun had zoned out about ten minutes into the lecture. out of her peripheral, she can vaguely see notifications lighting up her phone, every 3 minutes or so. normally she would have picked it up by now and replied to chaeyoung’s snapchat spam and meme-tagging spree.

but, she’s completely distracted by mina’s slender, graceful fingers lazily twirling strands of silky dark hair, head slightly tilted and pen absentmindedly tapping at her chin. probably going over the equations in her head, running them back and forth easily. she’s always been so smart and consistently at the top of their class. mina’s wearing a fitted white sweater that hugs her shoulders just the way dahyun likes and wire-rimmed glasses, sitting almost carelessly at the end of her nose. she still manages to look so soft though. dahyun exhales deeply.

the change was subtle. she almost doesn’t register the way the fluorescent lighting dances on the crown of mina’s head. bending the light back and forth until mina’s hair flashes a colour that’s neither black or white.

her eyes flicker back to the screen when the lecture slides change over, displaying a long sequence of diagrams lining the wall. she should really be paying more attention, she was barely scraping in this class. her eyes involuntarily wander back to mina again. the lighting plays on mina’s hair, making it almost shine a dark brown? dahyun blinks a few times and forces her eyes to focus. it’s a tone just barely lighter than black. the light plays over it again and dahyun squints.

she’s jolted out of her reverie when their teacher claps their hands and wishes them a good rest of their day. while students move around her, some rising from their seats to bolt out the door, others packing away their things at a more relaxed pace; dahyun removes her glasses and presses the heels of her palms into closed eyes. she really needs to spend less time in front of a screen.

odd, dahyun thinks when she steps into the sunny hallway, feeling the heat tickle her skin. had it always been so bright?

it’s two thirteen. and mina’s late. a highly unusual occurrence.

dahyun taps at her phone and scrolls through her recent messages. there’s none from mina. she glances around at the courtyard. some students were casually sprawled on the grass, laughing at each other, or eating. others had laptops open, typing furiously at their keyboards.

her phone begins vibrating in her hands and she fumbles hastily, trying to answer it. mina’s voice is soft and gentle in her ear; apologising for running late but she had run into a lecturer she needed to speak with and then another friend for a quick chat but was now on her way with some food and a powerbank for dahyun’s dying phone. dahyun pictures mina speed walking down the hallways, her voice growing more breathless the longer she talks. pictures silky black hair trailing behind her, tucking her bag more securely across her shoulders while dodging passing students.

she can’t really bring herself to be annoyed when mina looks so adorably sheepish and apologetic while handing dahyun a homemade lunch. it was neatly packaged in a shiny metal lunchbox. today it was a chicken sandwich, with grapes and pear and apple slices on the side. there was even a bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice, lemon slices cheerfully floating on the top. dahyun feels her heart hammer wildly in her chest.

mina’s always doing cute things like bringing her food while they study because she knows dahyun cuts it close between her classes and doesn’t have time for anything other than a protein bar. sometimes an apple she snags on her way out of her apartment. dahyun would probably be surviving on fruit and protein bars if not for mina.

mina hands her a tissue and then flashes her a wide, bright grin right before typing something into her calculator, eyebrows furrowed. dahyun carefully sets down her sandwich and dabs the corner of her mouth. the sunlight is reflecting off her laptop and into her eyes. she looks up for a moment and watches as the light weaves itself into mina’s hair, setting it alight into a copper blaze. dahyun blinks, dumbfounded.

she tilts her head slightly and watches the light move from strand to strand. she moves her head back and forth and side to side, the copper follows when mina adjusts her position. dark hair, with shadows? different shades of black strands? was that even possible? it did look a lot richer, flecked with dark brown and golds.

dahyun blinks again and chalks it up to a trick of the light. mina gives dahyun a soft, fond smile, her eyes slightly squinting, right before returning to her work. her fingers clacking away at her keyboard and then occasionally scribbling at an open notebook.

it was mina’s eyes next. they were a steady, solid black, that dahyun loves. sparkly and shiny and expressive. bright when she’s excited and duller when she’s sad.

over the next month or two, far too slow for anyone but dahyun to notice, mina’s eyes acquire the same richer colour as her hair. almost the same shade of lighter black, but not black. it wasn’t just black anymore though. her irises were a warm, shiny dark brown and the pupils, black. they dilate slightly when mina looks up at her. but there isn't an overt difference.

dahyun thinks likes this colour more.

it was a coat next.

dahyun had fallen asleep on her notes. she jolts awake and blearily blinks at her surroundings, sleep still weighing heavily on her eyelids. she swats a paper stuck to her cheek and is met with amused, fond eyes. she sits up and realises she’s covered in mina’s thick coat. dahyun blinks down at the heavy material and just stares.

the fabric is beige on the outside, a tan sort of colour that errs more white than it does brown; but the inside of the coat is lined with a subtle tartan pattern. most notably, there’s red stitching. red. dahyun runs her fingers over the checked print design and blinks dumbly at it. she thinks she’s still coming out of her sleepy haze, but five minutes later when she looks down at the coat again, the stitching is so obviously more than black and white. red lines woven through pattern, sticking out like the obvious thing in the world. mina is happily typing away at her laptop, completely oblivious to dahyun’s realisation.

then it was a sunflower she’d spotted sticking out of chaeyoung’s backpack. a bright, happy, obnoxiously yellow sunflower. loud and cheerful. dahyun had seen sunflowers before, but only ever in light grey. sometimes white. sometimes even black. she was so entranced by it that chaeyoung insisted she keep it. dahyun picks it up and holds it to her chest until she was safely in her apartment.

that night, she set it in a transparent glass vase on her countertop so she could look at it everyday.

she learns that sunflowers have a pale green, almost yellow centre. that the colours grow into a gradient of orange and black seeds, surrounded by full yellow leaves. the petals have this faint orange that looks like it’s been carefully, painstakingly painted on each individual leaf.

the next day, on her way to class she spots a rose growing on a bush. it was a striking deep red, a stark contrast to its vibrant green stem. she sticks it in the vase with her sunflower.

dahyun came home everyday, and stared at her sunflower and her rose over dinner, and wondered who they were for. could they see colours this bright? did they know yellow and red looked this pretty? that sunflowers had oranges painted on the petals?

mina had gone back home to japan over the christmas holidays to spend some time with her family. she hadn’t seen them in over a year, it made sense for her to go home. but. mina is also one of dahyun’s favourite people; it was perfectly natural to miss her. however, dahyun misses her a lot more than she anticipated. her days seemed to be a lot more empty and dull.

dahyun finds it difficult not to miss warm brown eyes, and mina’s pretty smile. she misses having lunch with mina after class. she misses turning up unannounced at the other girl’s dorm and planting herself on the couch for an afternoon nap. she misses their dumb, playful arguyments over what take-out they should get for movie night; that almost always end up with mina asleep on dahyun’s shoulder, fifteen minutes into pressing play.

luckily, there was so much else to see. the bushes growing on the edges of her apartment grounds were a deep green, lush leaves sticking out of thin, woody brown twigs. sometimes there were ladybugs on the leaves. dahyun hadn’t realised their shells were red with tiny black dots. one time she even saw a bee sitting on a flower. she didn’t think she would ever be this delighted over discovering that bees had yellow and black stripes. her downstairs neighbour had a golden retriever. and her fur was as gold as the sun, with a pink lolling tongue and sweet, honey brown eyes.

the new colours could keep her occupied for so long though.

the sunflower and rose had long died. leaving only the petals behind. they’d drifted onto her wooden countertop, with the flowers blackened and dead. dahyun missed their colours too.

who were they for?

sometimes mina would facetime her while she was out and hold up plushies and toys she thinks dahyun would like. the plushies, were big and colourful but dahyun can’t help but think they look dull next to mina’s flushed cheeks. other times, mina would send her photos of the scenery and her food. dahyun can’t help but wonder what they’d look like in person.

she finds that she doesn’t ever really stop thinking about mina. it’s starting to become a bit of a problem.

most of all, she just misses mina. a weird ache in her chest that she doesn’t realise is there, just deepens.

two weeks later finds dahyun nervously pacing the airport lobby. airport crowds never fail to make her uneasy. but honestly, she’d do anything for mina.

she spots her from a distance, heart thudding loudly. she feels her pulse quicken, hammering obnoxiously in her eardrums, like clanging cymbals together. the most irritating percussion she’s ever experienced; she’s half convinced that everyone around her can hear it. mina was wearing an oversized sweater, her lips stained rose red. a maroon sweater, with gold stitching on the sleeves wrapping around her wrists. dahyun’s breath catches in her throat. she swallows hard around a lump of clear understanding.

oh.

mina. it had always been mina.

dahyun watches as mina’s head cranes around, carefully searching the crowd. her eyes find dahyun’s, as they always do, and dahyun can feel the fondness wrap around her heart and take firm hold. the ache in her chest deepens, like a dam breaking. the crowd seems to part when mina runs towards her and throws herself at dahyun’s torso, not caring at all about dahyun’s heart, beating wildly out of control. mina’s arms wrap around dahyun’s neck and she buries her face in dahyun’s shoulder, nuzzling into the fabric. dahyun can smell mina’s shampoo, clean and fresh.

they just stand there for a moment, swaying a little as dahyun adjusts her hold around a slender waist, fingers finding its home at the small of her back. she keeps a palm resting there and brings her other hand to the back of mina’s head, massaging the base of mina’s skull. she can feel mina huffing a relieved sigh into the side of her neck, the tip of her nose is cold against her skin.

she hears mina whisper that she missed her and asks if dahyun had been waiting long. dahyun barely hears it over the almost immediate snap of vivid colour encompassing them. the blues, and oranges and greens and pinks colouring the airport scene and moving outwards. dahyun’s world had transformed completely.

everything suddenly made sense, slotting itself perfectly in place.

it was beautiful and bright and brilliant. but dahyun hadn’t noticed it at first because she only had eyes for mina. like always.

mina, whose hair was a deep chestnut brown, with flecks of copper and bronze when the light hits it in the right spots. she must have dyed it while she was away because the gold has disappeared now. mina’s lipstick, red and rich, she can see the ridges where it’s redder in some areas, and more faded in others. mina’s sweater, maroon with gold stitching. mina’s earrings, a deep emerald green, flecked with golden marbling, and wrapped inside a delicate gold circle.

dahyun blinks rapidly at the change, taking it all in. slowly, the colours swirl around them as everything gradually finds its place. her eyes wander up and down mina’s face and hair and clothes and nose (had the mole on the corner of her mouth always been a dark brown?), finally landing on mina’s eyes. dark brown and sparkly. honey and gold and cinnamon and chestnut and dusky all at once. had mina’s eyes always had those colours?

mina looks at her softly. fondly. like she always has. the corners of her eyes crinkle when she smiles and mina’s eyes shine even more brightly when the light bounces off them.

then the colours didn’t really seem to matter anymore. dahyun studies mina’s features closely, glances at the moles that dot her nose and decides that without mina, what did it matter if there was colour or not. without mina, dahyun’s world may as well have remained black and white.

for mina, it was distinct.

absolute certainty.

the very first time she ever laid eyes on dahyun, her whole world burst into a million different colors all at once.

in my best dreams id love to go to bed at like 745/8. but my brain doesnt shut down like that, and i tend to be very productive at night. Maybe one day tho

last summer. We were going to get benny a little bro/sis but with covid everyone was adopting animals like crazy out here.. so the ones they had were on these enormous wait lists where you would go thru an interview, a HOME INSPECTION, and had to bring all your other animals in to meet said rescue. it was ridiculous.

i doubt it. I’m pretty introverted and even though I get along very easily with people, my batteries charge best when im by myself or home. I would very much like the income though lol.

I plan to go thru it soon! I’m trying to gather all my kile memories and I know I have like jewelry paperwork, cards from flowers, letters, etc. that need to be pulled. :(

absolutely. thats a long, long list. lots of academic, Christian, honors, volunteer, and youth group types.

im gonna do all of them anyway [smug emoji]

katrin started out as a trollsona who i doodled on some leftover pages during a literature exam, and then i thought id rp her for shits and giggles. she wasnt meant to be a serious character, but i got attached to her and liked seeing the interactions she was having with other trolls so she very quickly became her own separate character. her personality started out being an incredibly exaggerated version of my own shyness and anxiety, but everything else developed as a result of her interactions with others. she gained hobbies through her being interested in what her friends were up to, while things like her greed and stab-happy nature started out as silly quirks that soon became the primary parts of her personality.

then a Whole Lot Of Fuck Shit Happened which morphed kat into the disaster she is today. honestly like 80% of her character development was completely out of my control, since she’d just get involved with shit and i’d just write her responses and try to figure out wtf to go from there. while it was definitely a good learning experience for me cuz i’d never really rped or done any extensive writing before mspaf and it made kat a much better character than how she started, i don’t think i could ever do that again lmao. i like keeping a tighter hold on my characters nowadays.

also i think i mentioned this once before, but when i was retconning her interests and stuff to make her a full-fledged character, i made her an author of shitty self-insert fiction to reference her origin. thats a nice fun fact i guess.

aiolos’ origin was just one of those ‘i want a character who does [x]’ ideas, but i don’t remember exactly what his inspirations were. i drew his first design and did a lot of brainstorming in history class, so even tho it has nothing to do with his character i associate him with the time we watched doctor zhivago because we had a substitute teacher and that film was tangentially related to what we were studying. but also i remember seeing this pic in a tf2 photoset and thinking the outfit was cool, and the idea of making a messenger troll spawned from there.

he’s always been a smartass jerk from the beginning, but originally he hated his job and would sabotage people’s parcels and read all the letters for fun. then of course people were like UHHHHH TROLLS DONT HAVE MAIL BECAUSE MAILBOXES DONT EXIST so i scrapped the letter delivery and just made him solely a package delivery boy because goddammit i wanted my mail troll. he was also more of a flirt when i first started rping him but that trait just slowly disappeared over time as i realised that i dont really enjoy writing those sorts of characters. he mellowed out a lot over the years as well (mostly due to getting a moirail) and while he’s still snarky as hell, he’s not actively malicious about it like he used to be.

and also, two fun facts: 1. aio’s outfit is also mostly based on a school uniform because i couldnt draw proper 1920s garb, and 2. he was never interested in video games until he met poludi. now hes my Designated Gamer Troll.

aislin is based off alphys from undertale, since i have a trend of making characters based off indie rpgs i like (see: errett, ananta, and leutia). apart from the obvious ‘shy nerd girl who fuckin loves anime’ aspect from alphys, her main inspiration came from when you backtrack through the game after meeting her and discover that there’s cameras as far back as snowdin. i really liked the idea of a character with surveillance powers, especially someone who looked so ordinary and unassuming but actually had a really terrifying ability. i threw in a couple other undertale references into her character, such as her spearKind strife being a reference to undyne and her pollen allergy being a nod towards the main antagonist of the game being an evil flower. she’s also kind of inspired by bella from rubyquest too, which is more apparent in both her ancestor and her fate in the fleet.

her personality is essentially katrin 2.0. i liked the idea of a character being so painfully shy that they can barely talk to others, and since that no longer applied to kat i wanted to try that again. i became a lot more picky with who i wanted aislin to interact with since i didn’t want to go down the same road twice, and so far it’s been working out well. also i like being able to compare the two since it shows how differently two people could turn out just because they happened to meet different people at different times.

and to continue the trend of me drawing characters in class, i started doodling design ideas for aislin while i was waiting for a law lecture to begin.

This morning, I woke up after having a restless night of stress dreams about hearing back about that job. I woke up several times really sweaty and had to change shirts. I got some sleep though, and got out of bed around 10. I had cereal, tea, and salad for breakfast and did a bunch of packaging stuff to prepare it to be printed. Then I went to rapson and wasted 4 dollars getting my stuff printed because the guy working there was not only giving me rude vibes but also loaded the paper in wrong or something because my print was really bad and had lines on it - its just a draft so i dont think she’ll be mad when i bring it on tuesday, but it still is annoying.

Anyways, then I went home and showered, because I felt so greasy and disgusting. I changed into my new dress and made a croissant and some ramen with peas and pot stickers. Then i started cutting my packaging mock ups and putting them together. My friend came home and i was talking about how I wanted to make slime with glue and borax, so we went to target to get some. While i was there, i got a lunchbox and ice packs so I can start bringing cold things with me to class - like pasta salad which is what I wanted to make for this week.

When we got home, i microwaved some leftover mac and cheese that was in the fridge and had that while i made my meal prep for the week which was pasta with roasted broccoli, chickpeas, random vegetables, and pesto. I made a ton of it too, so it will last a while which is ideal. Im getting really good at doing meal prep. I got an email finally saying I didnt get the job, which really frustrated me. Basically, I knew I was the most qualified person for the jobs since im majoring in graphic design and have a lot of experience and knowledge . But they decided to reject me and hire this other girl who isnt in the major and has been abroad in the past year so I just didnt understand that at all until I realized her sister has an important job in radio k and there is also other social politics and clout stuff going on there. So that was just annoying and I was more mad than anything, because its not like i got rejected for not being qualified. Its all a favorites game where they hire their friends so I should have known. i am just going to channel my anger into building my portfolio and applying for other jobs and internships. i am currently insured and my policy expires on July 1st. I don't want my policy to renew so I called to tell them not to renew it. They said ok...and they wouldn't take out the June 1st payment. When Servpro cut draywalls ut shows that stabs 2x4 has been damaged , they spray them ( we think that they need to replace them )......... 1: How did baking happened to you? Ans:Have always been very passionate about cooking and I simply love to treat my friends and family over home made sumptuous food.This is just an extension of what I loved doing.

2: How did you learn baking? Ans:I have absolutely no professional backing in this field.Infact,I have never attended a cookery or baking class till now.It’s been a journey of self learning.Though I don’t mind exploring the option to sharpen my culinary skills.

3: How was your first baking experience? Ans:The first cake that I ever baked,a chocolate one for my family,was a disaster and I was clear in my head that I would never bake again.Baking to me,seemed like some Rocket Science,back then.My husband literally forced me into it, ensuring I kept trying till I got it perfect.Can’t thank him enough for immense support he’s showed.

Ans: Can’t exactly say challenging,but yes doing Jar Cheesecakes for bulk orders,is an uphill task to do,since they need to be made as fresh as possible.Once I had to make 200 of these for a single order and the hot and humid weather made things even more challenging.Successfully executed the entire lot,all single handidly,right from putting the ingredients together to all the decorations and packaging.

8: Biggest disaster happened to you on baking & how did you overcome it? Ans:By God’s grace,it’s not happened till now,fingers crossed.Touchwood!

9: What are your future plans? Ans:I did not foresee this happening nor did I plan my journey this far.Will just go with the flow. It will be good till it lasts,rest whatever destiny has in store for me,will just take it as it will come.

Ans: It was a fondant cake from a person to her wife, He wanted it to be a dark chocolate cake, we did a Belgium chocolate cake with a dancing doll on the cake as her wife is a Zumba instructor and he wanted to present the same. The cake was very much appreciated and till date the best flavor we did.

8: Biggest disaster happened to you on baking & how did you overcome it? Ans: It was on the valentine’s day when we were loaded with orders. We had to deliver 20pcs of Chocolate Éclair and was already running late the delivery time. The éclair’s were taken out of the oven early and they all went bad, it was 8, and we again baked the lot and finally the delivery reached at 10. The customer was explained the situation and she very well adjusted and was co-operate enough to understand.

9: What are your future plans? Ans: Plans for Melting Momentz is to transform it into a complete culinary school along with complete bakery production and deliver the best of quality to the world. To hold corporate events to introduce the public to world of baking.

2: How did you learn baking? Ans: I did a few basic courses here and there, but basically tried my hand and started experimenting on baking from home.

3: How was your first baking experience? Ans: First time experience is always challenging as that’s the teething period, but all in all it was fun.

4: Tell us about your baking venture? Ans: First I started baking only as a hobby because I loved baking for my family and friends, but slowly as I got to know that I was good enough so I started it professionally.

5: What are your signature products? Ans: Death by chocolate cake

6: Where do you get inspiration from, for your designs /creativity? Ans: I get it from everything around me and obviously the internet, haha.

7: Most Challenging Order till date? Ans: When I got an order from Virgin Atlantic Airways for Diwali hampers.

8: Biggest disaster happened to you on baking & how did you overcome it? Ans: Never really had one

9: What are your future plans? Ans: Future plans are to learn more and more and master in baking.

10: How can a person get started with baking? Ans: Well, anybody can start baking if you have the interest. If you know the basics about baking then all you need to do is experiment everyday and learn everyday.

11: Any special message to convey to aspiring bakers? Ans: Go for it guys, it’s amazing !
