Still didn't feel right for the fest so I figure I post this separately and make a different one for the event.

An AU where werewolves are the hunter and the human are preys.

Werewolves are the superior species. Humans are given the choice of accepting the bite to become a wolf themselves, with the risk of losing their humanity and die a slow painful death. Or face a life of hiding and running from the hunters.

The world is in a constant state of fear and chaos, hunters tearing down families, killing anybody who resits. Human rebel forces were formed, but they were no match to the werewolves with their super strength and power. In the aftermath, only a very few humans survived, unharmed and unchanged, but they are hunted by packs that want nothing more than to tear down the last traces of human society.

Derek Hale, the most feared hunter in the force, ruthless and loyal, he will do anything that he is ordered. His latest assignment is to hunt down Stiles Stilinski, son of one of the rebel force's leaders, who after the death of his parents, has avoided the hunter for an entire year and has destroyed a few of their camps across the country.

On the chase, Derek didn't expect Stiles to always manage to escape him in every encounter with his sharp mind and a wicked smile. When he finally catches him, a fight happens, when in the end Stiles has the upper hand.

"Don't make me do this Derek."

"It's our jobs, Stiles, to be on the opposite side."

"There is no side, we are both preys in this hunt."

Stiles holds a secret that once revealed will change the state of this world forever: Someone a long time ago has set up the whole war. This is not just simply werewolves vs humans anymore, there is something else lurking in the shadow, waiting for them to exhaust themselves before swooping in and taking the kill.

With that knowledge, Derek is now questioning his choice of where he stands in this war.

I completely forgot to post on Tumblr but anyway here it is. This is the first-ever thing I wrote when I began to write fanfic so it's rough, but I went back and clean it up a bit and it's better now, I hope???

“Dad -” His voice sounds out of breath. He swallows and tries again. “Dad, I -” He pauses for a moment. “I don’t know what I was doing. I was checking..."

Stiles' voice is wary, almost pleading, but the words fall away as soon as he sees his father's face. He breathes in, holds it until his lungs burn, and exhales slowly.

“Tell me the truth.” Noah slams his hand on the table, the noise is deafening like thunder.

The room seems to spin around Stiles, he shakes his head, tries to clear his vision, and cracks open his chapped lips. “I found Peter Hale’s body behind the Hale house -”

There’s a serial killer in Beacon Hills, or at least that's what people are whispering about, the police just ruled all the deaths as animal-killed. But when Peter Hale went missing and his infamous nephew, Derek Hale, returned back to town, more bodies started to appear. All eyes were set on Derek then, their only suspect for the murders.

soft introspection of love

22/09/2021: delight, shiver, grateful

Theme Week: Softness

Love... Stiles often thinks about that word these days.

If you were to ask him three years ago, what does he think about love, he would have a very different answer as of today. But to think about it, he was a very different person back then.

Love, he has thought to be something that shocks him, sends a shiver down his spine, and left his toes still curl up after it’s gone. Like eating a mouthful of ice cream, so afraid for someone to take it away, that you’re willing to trade the sickening flavor for the afterward freeze that seeps deep into your soul. Like something poisonous in the wild, it’s as pretty as it’s dangerous.

But as he watches Derek paint their new bedroom with the warmest blue he has ever seen, he feels a strange feeling clutching around his heart.

Love isn’t all of that. Now Stiles knows. Love is something so much softer, like scooping up a handful of clouds, treasuring it in your palms, and when you taste it, like cotton candy, it is both sweet and nothing at all. But you eat it anyway, every time, you crave it.

When Derek turns to him, paints smear on his face, with a twinkle of delight in his eyes, Stiles is grateful that he has found his.

ugly sweaters

24/09/2021: sweater, horrendous, crush

Theme Week: Softness

Derek doesn’t hate sweaters, he dislikes them. They’re never right.

Sometimes, they hug at all the wrong spots, too tight that he can’t even mutter out a breath wearing it, and when he takes it off, the marks stay behind, branding him.

Sometimes, they’re too big, the sleeves hanging off his arm and he would have to push it up every five minutes. He feels like a kid again, standing by the stoplight, with a shirt too big and jeans too long, waiting for a crush that will never love him back.

But when Stiles gives him that horrendous sweater and keeps going on about their first-ever Christmas Eve at the house, Derek knows he would wear a hundred more sweaters just for him.

27/08/2021: tree, light, therapeutic

Theme Week: Summer

The trees have ears, they whisper about us, about what we did last summer.

Stiles drives in silence, trying his best to enjoy the last fleeting light of the season cause when the wind churn and bile rise up his throat, he’ll know it’s school time.

It’s therapeutic, people assuming we know nothing because we’re young, so we try to wrangle our emotions into a bottle and label them.

Oh we know, we just don’t care.

So when Stiles passes Derek on the hallway, arm around his girlfriend, their eyes barely meet, he’ll remind himself that Derek was never his.

11/08/2021: dog, town, enchant

Stiles skips down the road, the town feels so enchanting tonight. It's Halloween. His red cloak blowing with the wind.

“Nice dog.” Someone comments, pointing at Derek beside him.

Stiles cackles, glancing back at a grumble wolf-form Derek.

“Yeah, but he can be such an ass to take care of.”

Derek snarls, his fangs scare off the guy.

“Well, I don’t care that you’re annoyed buddy, you lost the bet. I can’t be Little Red without a Big Bad Wolf.”

Derek huffs, wondering why he even put up with Stiles in the first place, and continues to walk behind him.

Laura Hale Appreciation Week - Day 7: Dealer’s Choice @laurahale-appreciation

They built me up three hundred feet tall, just for me to crumble down. They filled me with all their hopes and dreams, but I’m too tired to stand. I’m on the edge of the world, the peak of the mountain but I’ve reached the top and there’s no one around. So I’m leaving now as I was, five foot eight, still in the clothes they gave me, without a clue who I am. So I’m leaving now with a song in my heart and a prayer on my lips that I’m finally on my own. So I’m leaving now with all my love and hope. I’ll pray for you, and I’ll pray for me.

A very vague concept: Laura is tired of everyone's expectations, she can't keep up being their Alpha anymore. It's eating her alive, so she leaves to find herself and peace within.
